GRrrr! Only managed to get 1 thing on ebay last night and now the school is closed again so probably won't manage much today either, especially as hubby decided to brave the snow and head into work :(. Think I'm going to be tearing my hair out by the time he gets home!

    Is that 118.16 or 188.16 BB?[/QUOTE]

Sorry, it is 188 and you can add on another 295 to bring it to 483 so my new total is #125 483/25250 (1.9%).
  • Hi. Ok I have finally opened the post and now know what's owed

    No: 128 owes £1493.87
    No buying toiletries in 2013:cool:
  • Nice work, Suzitiger! I'm feeling dispirited about ebay. Such a lot of work involved in listing things; all that photography and whatnot, and then it either doesn't sell or it sells for peanuts. What sorts of things are you selling?

I think I was very lucky this week Armchairexpert, last time I sold some things they went for peanuts too, but I work funny hours as I have two jobs so I can usually find time to put bits up, I also use the app on my phone which helps. I find DVDs very hit and miss, branded clothes work really well (you could be cheeky and say topshop style or river island style to help you get more views on things if you are selling unbranded things) I sold an unused perfume, a z*mba top, an Alls*ints bodywarmer and some other toiletries. If toiletries are unused they can sell quite well too :j

Aw you almost missed me off then?! :p well we don't have her yet, I'm waiting for a photo and to find out her exact breed, but she is a bengal x. I'm hoping to go and look at a little boy pedigree bengal today as well, he's a lot more money than she is, but I've been allowed one pedigree if we rescue the second :)

I've got a sinus infection :( feel groggy and having nosebleeds. Bed for me today.

Hope you're all staying safe in the snow

  • Now only 10 days to payday and exactly £39 left in purse. Thanks to being snowed in I still have half tank of fuel and now up to 10 nsd's this month.
I'm not panicking because I have an overdraft facility and a credit card but really really really determined not to succumb to either.
I've only got bread, milk, sausages and bacon on the shopping list so far so I'm beginning to think this is do-able - not many emergency calories (aka Xmas chocolates) left though...... :(.
Being snowed in is an emergency isn't it?

The good news is I get paid on Tuesday not Thursday as I thought:j I am going to start 'paying myself first' from this month so on the 22nd I will transfer £500 from my current account to the ISA. We should be able to save a bit more than this if we stick to our budgets this month but I will leave the rest in the current account as a buffer and incase we go ahead with the blinds we want for 3 rooms, we have our holiday balance to pay for our caravan week in April (£165) and it's DH birthday (he has had his present though) so we will be going to the pictures or for something to eat and I will get him something little from DS. I do have a seperate budget for misc and entertainment so hopefully this will cover the night out and gift and there is already money allocated for the holiday. I also need another party present for a party DS is going to.

DH got the letter about the payrise that comes with his promotion at the weekend and it is a basic salary increase but the potential amounts he can earn on bonuses are amazing. :eek:There is lots of untapped potential at his new place so he is expecting to make the most of them this year. If he does this will more than cover the extra I need to clear the beast by the end of the year.:T:T

My focus for Feb is sticking to the budget with a view to putting an extra £100 to £200 in the savings.

    Sorry for the rambling post:o

Have listed 10 items on Amazon. I like it better than ebay although it is a bit slower. Hopefully will make a few more pennies.
