  • Hi everyone not posted for a few days so thought I'd contribute. Well I am pleased about thewhole HMV vouchers fiasco and now I can spend them!! I have had a couple of cheques in the post so they will be going off the credit card but waiting until the end of the month to announce my payments. Finally only one week until pay day I'm hoping I can make the petrol last until then. A few negatives this month I have had 2 weekends where I havenot been able to work the second job so feb/ March is going to be tough. Finally gotthe date for my op (so long left ovary its been nice while it lasted!!!). This has repurcussions on the financial front though at least 6 weeks off work includingthe second job, so earning potential decreased! The house seriously needs to make some progress if I am ever going to move in,and stop paying double board/ mortgage (sounding pricey already). I have worked out with my annual leave after this week I have only got 2 and a half weeks left to work. Do you reckon you could sell an ovary on fleabay lol?? On a seriuos note need to seriously get organised.Really sould do with some tips on what sells well on fleabay guys lacking inspiration and starting to panic!!. Any suggestions welcome, i'm ok re: crafts and arty stuff.

Kerri - I must warn you cats can become addictive. My Hubby rues the day we got one, we now have 4 (5 at the peak) 3 of them are "strays" - one genuine stray and 2 adopted from friends. He keeps saying no more, never again...he's been saying that since cat no. 2

This is very true. All the local strays knew our old family house. I think cats know when they find somewhere that someone will look after them and they put the word out to their homies that there's a cat hostel and soup kitchen nearby lol God knows how many we have fed/taken to vet/kept/rehomed/taken to rspca etc.

Spagbol I hope the horrible tax bill can be sorted without too much impact :(
  • Payday! Finally.

I second that suggestion :T I used to hate stilton, even the smell of it turned my stomach, until I took the plunge and tried it in broccoli and stilton soup. The first couple of tastes were very hesitant, and then I discovered that I actually loved it. Take the plunge :)

Well done everyone on fabulous payments, especially those of you that have been paid (trying not to be jealous :D Friday here!!)

Thanks too for your hugs, I feel much better today, just was very cross yesterday and needed my rant on here so thank you all for listening. DH is very grateful that I haven't taken it out on him too much because I vented on here :rotfl:

Also have made a small payment in defiance of my situation:

  • It sounds super frustrating, SpagBol, but compared to where you two were at your darkest point, it's but a tiny cloud on the horizon. I mean, you'll get through it and you obviously make a good team these days.

Ah thanks armchair, you are right. It takes a bit of low to recognise your highs sometimes...and vice versa of course.

Anyway, enough of my wallowing, I've bounced back and have some school mum chums here for a cuppa today so I'd better get tidying :)

    Little survey for you today:

    a) are you a tidy person or not, on a tidy scale of 1 (slovenly lush) to 10 (anal duster upper) where are you?

    b) when you go to someone's house that is either much tidier or messier than you do you mind or does it make you sweat?

    c) Can you see where I'm going with this? I'm about a 6 on the scale, messy but clean although my walls are covered in dirty prints , and all my friends are super tidy :rotfl:
