Ah thanks armchair, you are right. It takes a bit of low to recognise your highs sometimes...and vice versa of course.
Anyway, enough of my wallowing, I've bounced back and have some school mum chums here for a cuppa today so I'd better get tidying
Little survey for you today:
a) are you a tidy person or not, on a tidy scale of 1 (slovenly lush) to 10 (anal duster upper) where are you?
b) when you go to someone's house that is either much tidier or messier than you do you mind or does it make you sweat?
c) Can you see where I'm going with this? I'm about a 6 on the scale, messy but clean although my walls are covered in dirty prints , and all my friends are super tidy :rotfl:
I'm about a 9, hubby is about a 2. It's tricky, she says, diplomatically.:rotfl:
My house is intermittently spotless right through to fairly awful, bearing in mind we have one very sheddy dog and three kids.
I go to people's houses all day as part of my job and see real shocking housing conditions, so frankly I doubt even the mankiest house on here would make me bat an eyelid. I think as long as it's clean, I don't care if people's houses are messy. It's when I tread on dog sh*t on the doormat, or get bitten by fleas, or can't sit down as there is pee everywhere that I have the issues*.

Oh blimey! No we are not that bad (hopefully) but we do have random boys pants hooked onto the backs of chairs or empty cups on the floor where the boys have knocked them off a table and ignored it  and I'd be a goner if Kim and Aggie came and did a white glove test

Number 129 signing in. I paid £55 off my Barclaycard as the standard direct debit and made £30 for 2 hours mentoring yesterday!! So that has gone straight onto the cards! I have 6 hours mentoring a week to do which should really help me hit my target - just a pity its only during uni term time- But at least its good and easy money!!
Also as I have not gone to golf tonight thats another £2.50 - every little counts right!
So #129 £368/ 14500
For the rest of the week I have 4 hours mentoring, 1 mystery shop, Im going to take lunch to campus for the rest of the week and not go out on friday and am going to a house party on sat - a night on the town normally costs me £40 minimum a time- taxis, drinks and club entry so Im really happy about a weekend off!!
Money saved is just as good as money earned!!Pay off all debt by xmas 2013 - £281.00 /£153000 -
I am about a 7.5. I have a small house a 2.5 year old, a dog and a husband who never puts anything away after himself and uses the bedroom carpet as a floordrobe:eek: it is never mucky but could be tidier at times.
I got paid today so in my plan to 'pay myself first' I have transferred £500 to the ISA plus the balance that was in my account and the save the change from my ltsb account.
My new balance is:
#82 £2960.23/£18064
I have a £250 & a £35 capital repayment to come off on the 1st but want to increase the cash savings against the beast from £2925 to £3100 by next payday. Haven't got a clue how to do it but will try my beat:)Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -

Hi all! Done our shop - spent £40
A bit more than I would've liked! That leaves it with, ideally, £10 to spend for the rest of the week but I don't think it'll happen haha.
Bought my new pans - they're great. We also got some two new bedsets for £9.50 in total, thank A*da!
I can't WAIT until pay day!!!!
Also, I wish I could buy a houseJust don't know if we will ever be able to do it what with OH's DMP.

I'm totally desperate for payday too.
Don't know about the house thing, DMP's screw up your credit rating for about 6 years I believe, that's why we decided against it as I'd like to move within 6 years. I don't know how linked your financial ratings are though...perhaps ask on the DFW board or DMP board? Also depends where you are in the country and house prices, could you afford a house on your wages alone?DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
Hi hope you don't mind me joining you. I can't actually tell you how much debt I'm in (unbeknown to the husband) BUT I am going to get a total and I AM going to get it paid by next Xmas. Just need a helping hand ( and a severe shouting at ) to help me along xxx
I'm another secret debt person - was on the thread last year and paid off over £4000 - working on the last chunk now and then gonna tell dh. Stick around - I don't post much but read all the time and when i do post everyone is so supportive which is lovely as I have no one else to talk to about it.We have a boy and a girl, lionlop crossesThey will be a year old in March! They're currently housebunnies as the boy was poorly back in October and once they've been inside during cold weather you can't put them back outside 'til it's warm again. I didn't want to leave the girl otuside on her own so brought her in too.
I actually prefer house bunnies, but they're not very practical in rented accomm  when they like to dig and chew!

We're not financially linked at all (fortunately???). I think we'd only be entitled to around £67k on my wage on my own which isn't much really. You can buy houses here for around £80k though so would just need to save up that extra £15k. Doable, I suppose! Having said that though, repayments on a £67k mortgage can't be much! My friend has a £83k mortgage and pays £450 a month - our rent is only £410!0
