    Everything I try to add to my basket comes up with an error:

    Unfortunately one or more of the items have been discontinued, so we are unable to process your request.

    Any clues? Does this mean out of stock? It's starting to frustrate me!

    Wow I'd love to try and catch the 75% off sale - I've already bought £50 worth in the half price sale so a few birthday gifts sorted for next year. You can't beat being organised, saves a fortune! Hoping the 75% sale is online this year as probably won't get to the store in time

    I received my boots order yesterday. 5 of the items are damaged. 2 to the point were the boxes are in pieces and 2 of the items are missing. Quite annoyed. They don't seem to have any protective wrapping in the boxes.

    I had the same problem, i ordered a playmobil noah's ark which came in a separate parcel full of padding - fine. The other 6 items i ordered were in one box altogether with no packaging. 2 had slight tears and 1 was trashed inside the packaging. Decided to take it back to the shop and even the assistant mentioned there was more packaging in the store delivery boxes! I hope you can try and replace them :)

    Exactly the same as mine. Had 2 hair care sets and 2 joules sets. The contents of hair care sets were out of the boxes which had ripped to bits in transit. The shampoo had leaked over the joules stuff, really annoyed as they were pressies and no longer available, I've emailed them as got fed up holding on the phone yesterday.

    I know you're all saying around the 16th for the 75% sale and this has been the same this year etc. well I'll be keeping my eye out in my local store this weekend as I redeemed my points for one FCUK set then 2 other small sets on the 6th January and the 12th January. For the other sets I bought on the 6th, I used my mums card and gave her the money instead :-p Shall be doing the same this year again lol

    Judging by your points earning dates, you're in and out of Boots as much as I am :eek: :rotfl:
    However, This years sales have not been 'normal' in my opinion.....

    They certainly haven't, there was hardly anything left in some stores, especially my local ones! Only the one in town had the normal number of aisles dedicated to sale stuff, the two other stores I went to, one had at least one aisle less and the little one near me normally has at least 3 aisles, this year it had ONE! and that was on boxing day, first thing! (BTW I'm counting aisles as two sides of shelving)

    Yeah, I was very dis-organised last year when it came to gifts lol. I left everything to the last minute, but have made up for it this time:p Last years sale was far far better than the one we have now, by he 12th January I'd bought 5 FCUK ladies gift sets at £11.25 each down from £45, 2 Soap and Glory sets at £5 each, and bits and pieces for small gifts for kids in work. I missed the half price sale completely and just happened to walk in on the 75% on the right day lol. I've 6 birthdays in January and 3 in February so last years sale was handy, even had some pressies left over for Xmas gifts this Christmas lol.

    This sale, I've got 3 Soap and Glory sets and 2 Hello Kitty lip sets. AM heading into town on Sunday again so maybe I'll get something else then lol

  • Just phoned my local store and apparently both parcels (see my post #113 above) are awaiting my collection...

    On my account the first one says received at store but the second one due for delivery to store today still says "dispatched" and I've not received an email or text to confirm this time so yours may be there already too, they just haven't told you either?

    Anyway they are open tomorrow and it sounded heaving in the store, I am also in still awaiting Amazon delivery... :D

    Update - I have been causing havoc in my local Boots ;)

    Not really, (well, maybe a bit) went to collect my parcel and the person retrieving from storeroom made mistake of bringing both out even though I only asked for the second one... then started ummhing and ahhing about whether I could have it as "it is not marked received on the system yet and no-one in to do that until tomorrow"... long conversation ensued with me stating I had ordered loads off Boots (but never to this smallish local store) before without a problem and offered to log into my account on my iphone there and then etc etc... (really thought at one point they weren't going to let me take it even though I could prove it was paid for :eek:)...

    Several staff ended up getting involved, one then went off to ask Manager etc. etc. then she asks for my debit card and rips open box, I said very politely "can I ask what you are doing?" she looks at me funny and said "you want a refund" .... "No, I definitely want that one" says I, cue very mortified looking sales assistant, as it finally dawned on her what I had been saying all along... luckily I saw funny side and started laughing, took my parcel and quickly went home (after carefully checking not damaged). Then phoned them when I got back to double check that they had not checked full price one as collected so that I would be refunded my points on that one...

    And breathe... anyway am very pleased with my purchased item which has finally and thankfully arrived in one piece, don't think I could cope with ordering any more :rotfl:
  • I ended up doing another order despite saying i'd hold out for 75% off lol. Both of my orders arrived fine luckily, but the pick up from store service is a shambles so I have emailed complaining, wish I'd paid £2 odd for delivery. Both my deliveries were meant to arrive on the 31st but werent there in the morning when I rung. The girl I spoke to said ring back after delivery at 1pm and it should be there then. I called back and they were there (I said i'd come to collect it later). I then went to pick up my orders and the store had closed for lunch :mad: I understand it was NYE and they were probably short staffed, but surely they could have mentioned it when I was on the phone to them the two times previously that day?!!

    Anyway am hoping boots will give me some points for the inconvenience. In the email conformation it said the order will be there on, or before the day of collection which is quite misleading!! I'd advise anyone to check their order has arrived before venturing out as I recieved no txt/email. Won't bother using store pick up again, always a headache!!!

    Anyway, on a positive note, hurry up 75% off.....my cupboards are empty:( The only 3 weeks they are empty each year lol. My OH is dreading the day of the sale. He keeps saying "your not gonna go too mad this year are you" haha little does he know i have set myself a maximum spend of £125....:rotfl: gotta love this love hate relationship with bootsies. Can't wait to spend all my points and know I have got 50% of the pressies for next xmas sorted before the end of jan. wooooo!!!!!
