It's like suggesting that someone would be offended if i gifted a thousand pound diamond watch but the recipient dislikes the gift because the gift giver bought it at an amazing 75% of rrp. People like that aren't worth worrying about.

Depends if you expected to each spend £1000 or £4000 surely.;)

I suppose theoretically you might also have the problem where you spend £5 in boots sale and give the gift to someone, they spend £5 on you and they feel embarassed because your gift is apparently worth much more..

I'm all for finding ways of getting what I want to give people as cheaply as possible using codes/shopping around etc., that often means they get a higher value present for my budget and they may well think I'm more generous than I am. My main aim when choosing presents is to give something they'll really want.

Hi,I went to Trafford Centre at 10am,very very busy.Went back at 10.45am to see what was left hardly anything.
Definately no No7,you might be lucky to get a Lynx or mens FCUK,but i wouldn't make a special journey.HTH

Trafford Centre did have the big No7 boxes that were £65 but they were hidden around the other side of the escalators, the wife picked up 3 (all for family) even she was amazed as she got lots of people and staff asking her if they were No7 boxes.

There was about 50 of the boxes there this morning, not sure what the stock will be like now.

I managed to get to the Rotherham store today at about 1pm (after a midwife appointment) and there were people asking where the rest of the stock was!!! There were a few pairs of slippers, a few toys and half a dozen diaries left. Other than that the shelves were empty.

Do you think its worth my while going to Meadowhall and Parkgate (Rotherham) tomorrow? (Then again I dont expect you to be honest unless you have already been :rotfl:)
  • I was happy with my little £18 online shop last night :D

APPALLED to read the stories on here about the absolute GREED and selfishness of some people .... I know it happens every year & we are all geared up to read the horror stories but STILL snatching a toy from a CHILD is disgraceful and disgusting and that is why I don't like the Ebay sellers as they have no moral values and its not just for their family and friends who they care about its about making money which is the only thing they care about obviously but funny how they are the most MISERABLE people you can come across

Just angers me that kids , pregnant women and non fighters like me are in danger of being knocked out of the way etc which is why I don't risk it to be honest , hate SCRUM situations , annoys me to see the greed , am on a tight budget myself but I don't go knocking people out of the way or stealing things from kids or other peoples baskets just to make a profit

As I said am HAPPY with my small order , grateful to get a couple of bits for my daughters , the word HAPPY being the key as it is something you CANNOT buy! x
