Loving all the xmassy pics - they are all really beautiful. Will take some pics of mine but the fireplace is still a 'work in progress' haha.

The pic of the doggie is absolutely gorgeous and will look fantastic on canvas.

Busy morning ahead but will try and have a catch up with you all later.

    Have a good day.

  • Morning all!

Been MIA, so busy I have not had time to think and am achieving very little. Met a friend one evening last week for our Christmas catchup. Know it was early, but every year something goes wrong on the day planned, so it gets deferred and deferred so we decided on an early meet this year, thinking if anything went wrong, there is still a chance of seeing each other before Christmas, for a change, 1st attempt. Was good to catch up, she is having a cancer scare at the mo, doctors know there is something, but it is so deep, they can't tell so it is being monitored. As I had a scare years ago, she likes having someone who can relate to it to talk to.

Thank you so much to who ever suggested the Devilled Almonds, so easy to do. Spent my Sunday in the kitchen making chutney, the almonds, mince pies and flap jacks. By the end of the day, my fingers were wrinkled as my hands had been washed so many times, I had washed up so many time and I have industrial injury on my right thumb from peeling etc! But got to say, I slept like a baby, was actually woken by the alarm, which only happens about once a year on a work day, got a new phone and the alarm only appears to have one volume - very loud :o

Place looks like a bomb site as trying to wrap, prep etc, home this evening, so will try something about getting some sort of shape into it, in addition to ironing, washing, cleaning floors. At least I have panto to look forward to on Saturday!
A smile costs little but creates much :)

DS2 has his school nativity dress rehearsal at 10, i can't go on the 2 nights he's performing so i'm going over to watch that with my MIL in a bit...handy only living 9 doors away from his school :-) He's a soldier who tells mary that she has to register!!1 awwww.

my plans for this afternoon WAS more tidying-i might squeeze it in, but bloke has most of the afternoon off so i think we are going to the library/dropping bags at charity shop 3 more today! and probs doing a little bit of shopping at co-op in the village. Then by the time i'll have picked kids up from school. DD has drama club after school tho so doesn't finish until 4.

I won't be around here for a few days-but i'll try and pop on when i can and read as if i leave it too long there's a million posts hahaha~!
I'm off to have a Christmas coffee morning with 2 dear friends tomoz morning and then a meal on the eve with said friends and about 15 others!!! All very exciting.

Hope you are all ok? sending love and hugs to all that need it...hope the xmas spirit comes up and shakes it's baubles at all that need it :-)

hoping to have finished all the presents/fillers this wk haven't really got much left to get just a couple of niggly you never really know what to get ones & a gift voucher.
ds told me this morning he" needs" xmas socks as its dec you know :rotfl: this from the kid who refuses to wear anything remotely novelty normally and wouldn't even be swayed by the headless snowman jumper I saw
might try and get to morries this wk for the j2o & bogof biscuit tins but its a fair bit out the way don't have one local :(
also want to try and get to tesco and stock up on some of the bogof party food seem to have loads of the kids friends round lately so ideal for snacking on as its costing a fortune I swear teenage boys are hollow ;)

thats my 15 min task alarm going off so better shoot will catch up later tc all

sains have 3 for 2 on all baby food and some of the pouches are reduced to 22p/25p find them a great way to get fruit/veg into my toddler esp when hes not well
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk
