Look at the blooming time again, I really am my own worst enemy. It's really no wonder I spend the day in a daze !
Quick catch up and will try some sleep.
Quidsy ooh that is a dilemma about the games console, have you decided what to do. As I caught up on the thread I read about your mammoth cooking session- well just stop bragging lady, you are making me feel really quite guiltyI seem to be wading through treacle, making a mess and getting nowhere. xxx
Nic sending lots of love and hugs. Don't be so hard on yourself, please make a little time for youHope the house inspection goes well xxx
Pinksteps rant away my lovely. Argh unanswered calls from the hospital, messing DS about. And then OMG the neighbours from hell, you should be very very proud of yourself the way you've kept calm and conducted yourself. They must lead very sad, lonely lives. I'm glad you've sorted DS some good pressies for his big dayand a freshly painted bathroom- who said karma
xxx
Pigpen aww you've got your tree, I'm so pleased its upI can't see the littles, says I can't on the iPad for some reason but I've seen some gorgeous photos of them before so know how blinking cute they are

What's DS had to say now it's done? I know your DD has been a madam at the mo but it's horrible being that age isn't it- I kno I kno no excuse but trust me she'll grow out of it- and realise what a wonderful job you are doing xxx
Freespirit aww my lovely, you've really been through it this weekand you were doing so well! I just love your chocolate station, I need one I really do. Might do one for DDs she likes it as does DGD2. Will give it some thought or save it for next year. As I'm going nowhere fat this year!

Morgy ouchOooh a sore thumb is so painful. And DH and the cooker door, what a time of year to be replacing that! Yep blooming men! X
Feisty how did your festive baking go? I downloaded an app that lets you listen to YouTube on the iPad woo hoo but then couldn't work out how to play your playlist! Baby steps ha, it'll be January before I work it out. Then my festive baking went wrong too. Decided to call it a day. Although I've two lots of pastry in the fridge so hopefully tomorrow will be better in the Nana Kitchen ! xxx
Debndot aww my lovely, you can always come on here and chat, rant, laugh or cry we've done it all together this last year. It really is the nicest place to be, somebody is always around to make you feel better with wise words or a shoulder or just an ear. It's really helped me. More I think than you'll ever know. I'm glad DH is enjoying his new position xxx
Chrissy Oooh first thing in the morning get that cheque in and prepare to treat yourselvesI think we should have a "me" day and official day/hour/even 10 mins Linky what do you think? xxx
Mrsinvisible I'm going to try your system tomorrow - I've really nothing to loose. Nothing else is working. A few years ago I adopted something I'd read somewhere - 15 mins per room, non stop and don't come out of room, I set the alarm on my phone and it did work but like so many other things I gave it up. Might try tomorrow and reward myself with a coffee - thank you for the inspiration. Now you rest up tomorrow. Don't want you poorly/ overdoing itxxx
Ruth totally missed the Elf-a-thon and I love that film! Glad you enjoyed it xxx
Artytarty pop in whenever you like, you are very welcomeThink Feistys doing the mince pies and Freespirit has hot chocolate

Aliaslotte glad you popped in, I've wondered often how your jobs been going. I think it's usual in school to feel a bit all Christmased out, your festive spirit will return when that final bell rings for the hols. Of course by then you'll be shattered! xxx
Craftymummy I'm so sorry to hear about your Gran. I'm sure after her funeral, your Christmas spirit will return, it'll be hard I know. I'd love to see Matilda on stage I bet it was fab, such a good story - DGD1&2 and I love the film too xxx

Just managed to have a catch up with all your posts from the last few days.
Sorry I can't remember what I was going to say - it is still very early in the morning and the brain isn't fully up and running yet
craftygranny - so sorry to hear about your gran.
nanamia - hope you managed a few hours 'shut eye'.Hope son from another mum gets all the help and support he needs.
Take care of yourself.
Hugs to everyone having a difficult time.
Got a text from DS yesterday morning to say he'd had an email cancelling our order for DH pressie. So I've managed to get him to source something else and had to nag him all day (and night) to get the order placed. Finally got a message from him late last night to say that the order had been placed and will be delivered tomorrow (fingers crossed) :j. Not giving too many details away as you never know who's reading
Loving all the xmas pics. We have our tree up now - will try to get a pic later. Still need some xmassy looking twigs or the like to go either on the hearth or coffee table and I think that will be it.
Oh well that's the washer stopping - first load of the day done. Meeting DS's new gf for the first time this morning - I think he has told her it will be like the spanish inquisition from me. I won't dare open my mouth in case I say the wrong thing.
Hope you all have a good day.

Hi Nanamia, glad you still love me, hobnailed boots are on their way, give BD a kicking willya. Hope your son from another mum gets the care plan sorted soon, and marches swiftly up the road of recovery.
People like your mums neighbours, Pinksteps, should be boiled in (cheap) oil and their bodies fed to the tax man. What dire people they are, but I've pointed my mojo bone at them, so they better watch out.
Well, I spent 2 hours trying to get my piccies posted, but its not happening, I guess I need someone to do it for me...........
The greenhouse glass is repaired, but not the fence, all the blown down trees have been cut out tho and await the attentions of 'Nev-with-the-trailer' then he will become 'Nev-who-builds-fences', hopefully before Christmas.
This weeks tasks include making 4 more hanging baskets for friends who like the one l made for me.
Also need to deliver some cards and begin prettying up all the presents which are wrapped, and get three bedrooms ready for the family coming.xxxxxx0 -
oh i dont do well on 3 hours sleep !!! roll on bed time.
I heard dd asking her dad random questions till 3am, things like do chickens have nipples ? when she was told no she was really struggling to understand cos they have breasts:rotfl:
i f she saved for 5 yrs how much money would she have ??? even though she didnt have a figure to save each month:rotfl:
She just kept firing off random unrelated questions
I probably could have gone to sleep but i was enjoying the fact that it was him and not me dealing with her for a change. is that bad ?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I WILL get the bulk of presents wrapped today if it kills me!!
I have 5 huge boxes of stuff to trawl through and a myriad of smaller ones but I am going to get through them if I have to sit upstairs like Kermit the Hermit for the entire day! I have some fascinating conversations in my head when I do that.. usually they end in fantasy arguments but hey-ho.... wrap wrap wrap....
I need to sort a food order, it is booked for the 21st I think.. and order a gobble from my BIL (he is a butcher)
and.. gather up stockings.. and build card holders..
OH has 2 blinds and a curtain pole to put up and a toddler to watch.. and the middle room floor to find.. nothing strenuous.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Morning, I'm sitting waiting on my landlady with my 2 year old next to me not allowed to touch anything lol. At least the house is now spotless. We have my mil babysitting here on Friday. So will be nice for her lol.
I hate the landlords coming to do their yearly check, I hate the thought of her waking through and judging me. She always makes wee comments like' oh you have a lot of stuff' 'or you can tell you have children' as long as she doesn't go in the cupboards :santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Nearly choked when I read 'boyfriend' nanamia. :rotfl: I thought I'd done a typo as it was early and fingers and brain weren't necessarily co-ordinated at that time of the day.
Take care

I don't know why i do to myself but i've come to the conclusion i have too much stuff...my house isn't dirty or messy but it is 'lived in' like it should be with kids...
I've started clearing out my wardrobe today...i have clothes spanning from size 6-22 WHY? WHY? i've put them on facebook in the hope someone will want them and i'll make a few pennies back-otherwise i have about 12 binbags of stuff for the charity shop...i'm sorting bookcases, toyboxes, wardrobes, cupboards...i'm feeling sick at the enormity of what i've started...most of my house has huge piles all over it and i'm here sobbing at my manic behaviour...why am i so blooming irrational at the moment?! I'm hoping my hormones sort themselves out...i don't want HRT at 32!!!
I haven't even started my xmas cards for the street yet...grrrrrr!
Are any of you hoarders? I never thought i was bad-i get rid of stuff weekly to the charity shops...but we are bursting at the seams...i just want to be straight for christmas and the presents and visitors.
I'm procrastinating here...this is my refuge from my chaos...*sigh*Don't tell me this nothing...this is my nothing0
