I've started clearing out my wardrobe today...i have clothes spanning from size 6-22 WHY? WHY? i've put them on facebook in the hope someone will want them and i'll make a few pennies back-otherwise i have about 12 binbags of stuff for the charity shop...i'm sorting bookcases, toyboxes, wardrobes, cupboards...i'm feeling sick at the enormity of what i've started...most of my house has huge piles all over it and i'm here sobbing at my manic behaviour...why am i so blooming irrational at the moment?! I'm hoping my hormones sort themselves out...i don't want HRT at 32!!!
I haven't even started my xmas cards for the street yet...grrrrrr!
Are any of you hoarders? I never thought i was bad-i get rid of stuff weekly to the charity shops...but we are bursting at the seams...i just want to be straight for christmas and the presents and visitors.
I'm procrastinating here...this is my refuge from my chaos...*sigh*

fevertotell - Our house is exactly the same!
My mum has just started getting rid of MY school uniform I'm 24, most stuff is 20 years old! Craazzzyyy!
We've been taking what wont sell on ebay to Cash for Clothes, they pay you on the weight, we got just over £10 for 2 bin bags full and then what you take in then goes to charity shops across Europe, you can also take shoes, blankets, cuddly toys, books, small electrical stuff (working or non working), all paid on weight
(check your local one online for what they will and wont take, ours wont take tvs at all but some obviously do as their signs in the shop just have certain things crossed off some take curtains some don't but they list it all online).
I could very easily turn into a hoarderI keep way too much stuff to use for crafty things
My room is just too full of "stuff" but nothing I can part with I am quite ruthless... but books I can't part with a book, I can't read second hand ones (I turn into a ocd handwashing person) so I buy them all new, and I have around 500 books now...a lot got passed on to my sister as she got old enough for them so it's 500 i may read again... oops...
x
(I'm about to go spend the £10 i got from there last week on something exciting... I'll let you know what I get when I get home)
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

Sorry I can't remember what I was going to say - it is still very early in the morning and the brain isn't fully up and running
Got a text from DS yesterday morning to say he'd had an email cancelling our order for DH pressie. So I've managed to get him to source something else and had to nag him all day (and night) to get the order placed. Finally got a message from him late last night to say that the order had been placed and will be delivered tomorrow (fingers crossed) :j. Not giving too many details away as you never know who's reading
Loving all the xmas pics. We have our tree up now - will try to get a pic later. Still need some xmassy looking twigs or the like to go either on the hearth or coffee table and I think that will be it.
Oh well that's the washer stopping - first load of the day done. Meeting DS's new gf for the first time this morning - I think he has told her it will be like the spanish inquisition from me. I won't dare open my mouth in case I say the wrong thing.
Hope you all have a good day.b_e_g
Kids eh they do everything at their own pace, good luck meeting the new GF today
oh i dont do well on 3 hours sleep !!! roll on bed time.
I heard dd asking her dad random questions till 3am, things like do chickens have nipples ? when she was told no she was really struggling to understand cos they have breasts:rotfl:
i f she saved for 5 yrs how much money would she have ??? even though she didnt have a figure to save each month:rotfl:
She just kept firing off random unrelated questions
I probably could have gone to sleep but i was enjoying the fact that it was him and not me dealing with her for a change. is that bad ?
Oh CHRISSY that is heartwarming to hear, bless her,
Oh NIC i would feel exactly the same, it does feel like they are judging you doesnt it, just let the comments go over your head
FEVERTOTELL oh honey when you have kids, your house is always bursting at the seams, i have 9 bags of clutter in CS bags in my conservatory at the moment and i am nowhere near finished BUT i always feel good when it all goes out that door, no matter how long it takes there has to be an end to it sometime, keep your chin up and just keep decluttering
MRSCHRISTMAS lovely to hear from you on here, sorry your xmas mojo isnt there, i think its quite catching on here at the moment, i cant believe these horror stories about santa grottos on here, im so glad i dont have to go with young kiddies and see their disappointment, and why the heck do adults have to pay??#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

Oh mrs-moneypenny I love it all! The trees look lovely, and the nativity looks really festive (even with the wonky donkey). Whoever you are giving the jumper to should feel very lucky, it looks so nice and it must have taken you hours! I wish I could knit properly, I'm sure I'd happily lose many hours of my evenings that way. As it is, I can do 'knit' but I can't do 'purl' and I don't know how to add or lose stiches (at least, not out of choice). I used to be quite skilled at knitting a 35-stitch square and then finding that it was about 43 stitches wide at the end of it though
On a slightly random note, I've noticed several people mention 'Nativity' as a good Christmassy film to watch? My DH isn't much of a film fan, and particularly dislikes cartoons, so I don't think he'd like Arthur Christmas, for example, but I wondered whether Nativity might be worth a try? Does anyone know if it's going to be on freeview at somepoint, or NowTV? Otherwise I might actually have to go old-school and buy a dvd copy!0 -
