Nanamia-I think clubcard tv is fairly new. Can't say I've watched anything on it yet. Between all the catch up on the sky, the various apps for channels and sky go, I need more hours in the day!
I've got Bernard and the Genie on DVD, but I'm sure it's a copy. It was from eBay and looks cheap and nasty-but it works, so I'm happy. We were only telling my cousin about it a few weeks ago because she wanted Christmas film suggestions. I can't believe they don't show it on tv. It's directed by Richard Curtis, stars Alan Cumming and Lenny Henry and has some great cameos too. How it's not more well known, I don't know!

Been wrapping hampers today. We're doing a collection for the ladies who work in the library where we have our weekly cross stitch meets. They were going to buy chocs and biscuits, but I suggested maybe some tea/coffee/hot choc instead. I'm sure they get fed up with everyone giving them sweets around Christmas. So I've bought some sachets of latte/mocha/cappuccino, some Twinings hot chocolate, and big boxes of Twinings teas (Lady Grey and Afternoon tea)-all for £11-and I'll make them into a hamper with whatever the other lady brings(probably biscuits!). Looks quite impressive already and should be more of a treat than what they usually drink at work.

Started reading Calling Mrs Christmas last night. Has anyone read it yet? So far it sounds very 'us' and I'm enjoying it. Can't believe how quickly the days are flying by! Where's the pause button???

I thought that too Ruth when I saw the cast. I know exactly what you mean "not enough hours in the day" as mr willy wonka would say! I've bought a fair few Christmas DVDs throughout the year and have a couple more on my wish list, but think I will leave them till next year now. Fingers crossed I get to watch at least a couple :) xxx

    No pics Blooming Tasty :(

Ruth Calling Mrs Christmas is £3.50 on kindle app. Is it worth it? I did read a couple of Carole Matthews Christmas stories last year as recommended by the lovelies, and enjoyed them! X

Loving the sound of your hamper for the library ladies, I did a similar one for the nurses on the chemo suite when DH had finished his treatment a few years ago :) xxx

i cant beleive that you have been through exactly the same thing. my dd had just had her 16th birthday and i didnt have a clue. did your dd come home again? i have asked her to christmas dinner today in case she was waiting and i text her all the time saying she can come home any time. im trying to keep all options open. its so hard to forgive her as she doesnt thnk shes wrong. she just thinks shes grown up.

No, she didn't come home. She did it 3 months after her 16th birthday.

I didn't tell her she could come home, it is a given, if they ever need me it is my job to be there. I have since told her if she wants to come home with her little boy she is more than welcome and we will sort something. She is now 19. They all think they are grown up, then they get to 20 and realise that in actual fact they are far from grown up and want to be 12 again. One of the harder parts for me is that he is 8 years older than her so it felt like child abuse and I was allowing my daughter to be with a paed. If it helps.. they are still together, but won't be forever.

I told my daughter I won't ever forgive her for putting me through that and have told my other daughter if she even thinks about doing the same she will be roast in her own juices and fed to the cat! I hate lying and deceit and sneakiness.. I don't do those things and I expect the same from others.

We do have a relationship now but it was hard to rebuild but I will not ever risk losing MY daughter over some random scratty male. I brought them into the world and loved and nurtured and provided for them for 16 years and that is something he can never do.

Time is a great healer and will smooth those great sore open wounds you have right now but I found it a long road and she needs to realise you are hurt but speaking to her now while you are feeling so fragile and angry and hurt and lost is not the time. Heal yourself, let her learn and speak about it when you are stronger.

    ((hugs))

Nana.. yes, we had to come home as my mother (awaiting a hip replacement) and I were incapable of walking further.. on a plus note Pixie went to bed at 7pm lol. I've had drugs so it is improved.. though my mouth is still incredibly sore though my throat feels better so hopefully that is mending.

No wrapping done today but I picked up a few bits while shopping.. gloves for DD1, leggings for DD2 and candy canes for my tree and I am NEVER EVER setting foot in Home Bargains again.. I don't know how people can shop in there it is hideous!!!

I will do this as if you are completely new to photo bucket. So if you know photo bucket you can skip the first bits.

    Open that photobucket app.

    Go to My Albums

Press the up arrow at the top.

    Choose from Library

This will then show all the pictures in your library.

Click the ones you want to add.

    Once they are added.---

Open the picture you want to post.

Press the link chain at the top.

    Then press the IMG button.

Come on her and paste. :)

( I hope the Samsung is laid out like the iPad or the above could be useless ):rotfl:
