Could everyone that set tasks this week please check out my post on page 461. I'm sure I have missed someone off. I have gone back over the posts twice but can't see it. :o

Not a bad day today. No fallout.

Council phoned to say they had told next door to take down the shed thing. He is also reporting them to fraud because like me he thinks the man is living there.
When I got home she was in said shed on the phone. She said ' I know it was her ! I'm not worried about the benefit bit, we'll just do what we did before'
Surely even in the fraud office ignored me they won't ignore a council worker. I would hope that they would dig a bit deeper.

By 8.30 this morning I had taken Mia for an hours walk and done my shopping in Aldi. It was do mice to finish work today and come straight home.
I used the Mirror £5 off voucher that I got when walking the dog. I bought a Sherpa fleece throw, ds 6 pairs of boxer shorts, a tin of Foxes biscuits ( voucher to make them £2.79) my normal shop and then I had to go back and get a bottle of Amaretto because I hadn't reached £40. :D
I must admit I didn't buy a lot of food, I don't have room for it in the cupboards. :o

    :bdaycake: Happy Birthday Polarexpress :bdaycake:

Dont know your budget - M&S have mini panettone cakes at 2 for £4. I think wilko had them for £1.5 last year. You can make tons of different pestos' your self at home. and pesto can be frozen as well. How about get tons of different jars and fill each one with a different kid of pasta and wrap ribbons round them. How about buying a cheap Italian recipe book or print out some recipes yourself to throw in. Italian cheeses? Can you put in a large wooden box (wrapped up in brown baking parchment a stuffed full with red, green and red tissue paper? then tie up box with red/green ribbons? Prosseco (waitrose normally have theirs on offer for £6. Maybe the film roman holiday with Audrey hepburn in it.

]Well I remembered the Australia cards. :j Posted three cards and bought 20 2nd class stamps came to nearly £14

Have made a start on the Italian hamper -

    Home Bargains

    jar sundried tomatoes
    jar roast peppers
    jar of pesto
    box of grissini

    Lidl

    box of tuscan biscuit selection
    italian style melba toast

Couldn't find the christmas tree pasta in Lidl but might get some tricolour stuff from Mr. S's tomorrow. Will also have a mooch around to see what else we can find - like olive oil, balsamic etc.

Scratching my head trying to think of a good way to present this

    Take care everyone

Seriously, anyone in the London/Essex area that wants wrapping done...I enjoy doing it.

:rotfl: You may regret that. I'm parking the car at Newbury Park next Sunday. We are going to finish our Christmas shopping at Lakeside in the morning, before going into London :D :rotfl:

OMG I live in a mad house. :rotfl:

Dd has decided to have a clear out and sell some of her old clothes as we are going to Lakeside next week ( there is a Primark over 3 floors  )
She has put them all on a local FB page. Her phone and the laptop have not stopped bleeping. People are knocking every 10 minutes to collect stuff.

Mia is having a field day with all the attention she is getting.

And poor ds is just trying to watch the Tottenham match in peace.

ETA she has just sold 2 pairs of Primark boots for the same price I bought them for last year.
We got them in Oxford St. I don't think they had them down here.

Hi all. Sorry to hear about what your mum did to DD OMO. You'll definitely be better off without people like that in your life.

Big hugs to Feisty and DH.

We put the Xmas tree up in work today. My manager mentioned that December will be really busy for us so I suggested putting the decs up before it comes. She agreed. :T

Was really disappointed over the Coca Cola lorry. I work 10 mins from where it was parked but it took 40 mins to get there, there was no where to park and DH was due to start work at 6:30 so we just drove past it, took a couple of pics from a distance and came home! Will have to book a half day hol or something next year to see it properly.
    Savings Account - £0.00 :(

I was wondering if anyone could help? We had booked to stay over night in Birmingham THIS sat but the hotel cancelled on over booking, so should we still go to Bham for the day or thinking of Milton Keynes. We live in Warwickshire. Not particularly going to buy stuff more for to spend time together & christmassy atmosphere and maybe a couple of cocktails! What would people do Birmingham or Milton Keynes or anyone with a better suggestion? thanks!

well I have heard the christmas market in bham is very good but is always rammed
Mk isn't very Christmassy to be honest. The christmas display is nice but it's really small this year. They have an ice rink in the foodhall where waitrose used to be which might be worth a look at (although it's just temporary so not very glamorous lol)
