Pixtotts your man (and I use the word loosely) is far from trivial. He was obviously nowhere near good enough for you! But I'm sure that didn't stop it hurting :( I love the link for the decorations tho yours do sound as tho they'll be even nicer. Will you be able to pop a photo on? Bless your Nan, mine was very similar - well I am too really, I like things done right NOW ha, patience is not a virtue I possess xxx
Nic bless you my lovely, start now, right now. Don't let that poison touch you or DD for another minute. This other person is obviously a bully, and bully's do not like been stood up to. You can do it, stay off Facebook if its upsetting you or better still delete/block her. She's a nasty piece of work argh makes me so mad!!! Freespirit is exactly right (no surprises there) karma will get her and bite her on the bum. Natural justice is like that we may nor get to see it but it will definetely be paid back. On happier news you've done so well with your preperations if I lived nearer I'd be round with a bottle of Baileys myself. Chin up, imagine your band of Christmas friends are with you, cos we all are xxx
Polarexpress welcome to our haven, it's a wonderful place to be. Happy birthday to you, have a great day and enjoy putting your tree up. Pop on a photo if you can, we'd love that X
Ruth oooohhh those pancakes do look good :) What a really lovely thing to say :) you know I'm over emotional at the moment and now I have tears in my eyes. May I ask what a snow lodge mince pie is? xxx
Choccymoose fingers crossed that this manic few days goes quickly and thinks settle down for you very soon. Yuk the bedroom carpet sounds a nightmare, you know it's clean now at least. When you do get to get it done it'll be all your own taste but you can't so it all at once :( xxx
Feisty oh my lovely, what to say. Is DH home? I know they've ruled out what it's not but what a puzzle. A MacMillan nurse said to me once Christmas is one day! If you and DH are sat on the sofa eating beans on toast you'll be doing it together which is perfect. And as for the shop, countdown the days now it'll be out of your lives. We only regret things we don't do, you tried, couldn't have tried any harder. Your time now needs to be focussing on Mr and Mrs Feisty look at what you HAVE got :) xxx
JJ my little cup of Christmas cheer, hope the markets were good and that your journey home went smoothly. I bet your Mum was delighted to see you, let her pamper you for a few days xxx
Mrs M ooh don't think I envy you a trip to the city on a Saturday! But a craft shop uuumm maybe :) I whipped into hobbycraft today to look for the styrofoam shape I've made the sweetie tree with but surprise surprise out of stock argh. Was perfect too! Did you clean or did you stitch? Manage to write any cards? xxx
his missus the Santa dash always looks fun, to watch obviously I'm allergic to excersise of any description! Are you doing it for charity? Enjoy if that's the right word :) xxx
Princess we've missed you :( It's a trick one, don't discourage DH cos as I know to my cost he'll always remember it haha and never volunteer to do it again. It will look fab when it's done. Hope you are making time for relaxing too. Be kind to yourselves xxx
b_e_g haha oh lucky you,a change of scene- wow a different hospital. You'll be on the payroll soon :) you are so good xxx
Gettingtherequickly fingers crossed for customs, it'd be awful. Argh how very frustrating with work. What are they thinking or even are they thinking??? And the poor client when stability and continuity makes such a difference to them to take away somebody they'd obviously built up a relationship with and have them start over. How can that be right, at what is obviously the worse point in their lives already more uncertainties. Sending hugs xxx
Fevertotell bless you my lovely, I think you are bound to have days like that. I'm hoping not many obviously. You have done a lot already this week, be kind to yourself. You need time to heal, inside and out xxx
Msgigglewick been thinking of you. Hope DH has sorted csa problem out! Those elf outfits are adorable. You really are very talented. Twinkling fairy lights to you :) xxx

OMG Linky words fail me. I'm afraid if anybody believes your mothers version of events they are as crazy as she is. Miss Linky gives up her time to help and this is how she's repaid. Well I'm afraid that'd be it for me, I don't know how you managed to keep calm for so long with all the goings on. Your DD, DS are well out of it. And what is your father thinking, how dare he get involved argh. I'm fuming for her and you. I'd love to know what Master Linky made of the situation ? He has such a way with him. That woman does not deserve either of you children. Rant over. Massive hugs for DD and for you too. We are all with you, you know that xxx

  • Wanted ideas to go with Bro and S-i-L's pressie - DH came up with the idea of a tagine. Liked the idea but I can only find mini ones in the price range I can afford to if anyone sees any about 28cm for a reasonable price please point me in the right directions. :D
    b_e_g

Changed my mind on the tagine. :D Have decided to put them an Italian hamper together. Have made a bit of a list of things to go in it and will shop around to see what good buys are available to go in it. That's the plan for now anyway :rotfl:

Note to self - Must remember to take the Australia xmas cards out with me this morning (chances are they will still be left on the table when I get back). :o

Trying to organise DS to order a tablet I spotted for DH. Last thing he said to me last night was 'yeah yeah I will do it straight away when I get on my computer and will email/txt you to let you know I have done it'. Checked emails and texts this morning - no message. Has he done it and forgotten to let me know? Who knows. I will not be a happy mummy if he leaves it too long and then it becomes out of stock. I would have done it myself only I didnt want it going through our bank just incase it was spotted by DH when he was doing his banking. Oh well time will tell ;)

Hope you all have a lovely day - looks quite damp and miserable here :(.

hi all, big hugs to everyone, it seems quite a few of you are having family troubles, i do hope it all gets sorted one way or another, its a pity you cant choose your family, we'd all be happier. Im waiting for our Christmas drama, there's usually something. I seem to have lost november, seem to be falling behind now, dh starts job on Sunday so trying to gets lots sorted. We were going to sell his van and tools to buy a car but one of his customers decided to reverse into it so its been written off so that's one less thing to do at least, though it does make you wonder how people can miss a huge van while driving as its the second time its happened in 3 months. On a brighter note we're trying to get house sorted for selling in the spring, though my sis doesn't understand why we should bother, thinks we should just leave the kitchen falling apart and bathroom with cracked tiles etc as people would just knock it off the price? Hope everyone is doing well with the Christmas prep and starting to feel the festive cheer x

sweetie tree sounds a lovely idea i hope they gt them instock for you to do it.
i compromised ive done a cleaning blitz downstairs to take the rough edges off but not the ironing. i have knitted a mug cosy and done most of the stitching on the card - i just have the lettering to do.
i havent even got the cards out of the bag yet i was knitting last night while the film was on as it was a good film so i wanted to semi watch.
for anyone whos into golf it was a brilliant disney film. DS2 not remotely into golf sat totaslly entranced by it and hes 13! it was called the greatest game in the world and had a young shila beouf (sp) in it was only £4 of amazon last week. one of those true story inspirational filoms that give you a fuzzy feeling when bad people get their comeuppence and nice things happen to the right people!:T

OMO, hugs to you and your DD poor girl couldnt win could she, if she didnt accept the money she could have faced the accusation of snubbing her grandmother she did and this happened. glad your normal cousin is still speaking to your DD, just shows comon sense will out.

feisty continued hugs to you and your DH

BEG, glad you mentioned cards to australia, i must text my goddaughters mum and get an addy for her i 'think' shes in that part of the world at the mo. shes very well travelled

plan today is text friend re addy, knit another mug cosy, finish lettering on card, get cards down, get all craft fayre stuff down and price, and if theres any time left do the ironing!:rotfl: oh and were supposed to be out for a meal tonight as long as friend gets on ok at the dentist.

  • OMO, repeat after me " I am bigger than my family", and never forget it. It is terrible when things are given in a drunken state. Years ago a relative was going through a rough patch, hubs had been in serious accident when she was 8 mths pregnant, he suffered brain damage, had their own successful restaurant, so you can imagine all that was going on. They had a picture in the restaurant which I loved and she was giving it to me one evening, but I refused to take it as she had had a couple of drinks and she simply was not in the right frame of mind to be doing things like that. Eventually got it a couple of years later and I enjoy looking at it.

Oh my word, ordered a Kipling bag yesterday on Amazon Black Friday, was delivered an hour ago, but I shall savour opening it this evening rather than now :D
A smile costs little but creates much :)
  • hugs omo... my family is just as disfunctional... don't have anything todo with my older brother and his family and nor my real dad (who's currently in hospital with terminal cancer so i heard on the grapevine) They are evil, self centred jerks! Took me a while to accept that i can't do right for doing wrong in their eyes and i'm just better off without.. doesn't stop the hurt but makes me happier not having them causing drama's every 5 seconds.. hope you can find a line and stick to that side of it ((hugs))

Ty all for the comments on my elf jumpers :D already been asked to put some on my website next year lol. Was just an afternoon timewaster really.

Fiesty sorry to hear the on going medical issues with your dh.. nanamia speaks wisely.. count down the days to the closing of one chapter.. there will be a new one just around the corner. The only regrets are the ones we didn't try... is very wise :D

STill no clue what the csa wants.

Went into peacocks this am and got dd1's secret santa gift for her tutor at college... she had to get a 17yr old moody male a gift... i've picked up a set of stress boobies... that do ya think? lol
