eisty sending hugs and good wishes to you and your DH, its a very stressful time for you, i wish i could suggest an answer
sat and done some stitching on a christmas card last night and this morning and have booked a christmas meal with a group of friends, was surprised that i could still get a table this late - well it feel like late because weve been on about christmas for so long now.
got a couple more pressies ordered last night so getting there
must go and do some cleaninng ive promised myself im writing cards out tonight
oh and DH has rather rashly suggested that we go christmas shopping in the city on sunday - oh how i laughed, it was rammed when we nipped in at half term a few weeks ago, still i need to nip in a craft shop so ive agreed. might even think about braving primark for an elf t shirt if theres any left.SPC~12 ot 124

FeistyFidget wrote: »Well, DH had his procedure yesterday and they have said they can't find anything glaringly obvious wrong, which is great, but doesn't explain what is causing the fluid. One of the cardiac techs told him that providing nothing else is thrown up during analysis, he can come home today - I'm not holding my breath
I'm really happy nothing obvious has shown up, but also a little perplexed and worried they will just send him home - this will mean the last two weeks has all been for nothing, as he will start inflating with fluid again. Plus we still haven't heard anymore about his hydrocele repair, which is the whole reason he wanted to be admitted.
I'm losing a bit of my positivity today - the shop made £0 again yesterday, and it's just a constant worry - we still owe £1.8k on a credit card because of it, MOT and car tax are due next month, and we are still struggling with money - sigh.
Oh FEISTY my lovely, like you say its fab news nothing showed up but they need to sort this fluid problem out for him, oh it must be so frustrating for you both, i hope he comes home with more positive news, sending hugs to you both, and please dont lose your positivity i know its hard with all the negativity being thrown at you, but you will get through it xx#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

Hello all,
Not caught up with all the posts yet but wanted to send hugs to Feisty xxx
Pretty much done on the pressie front. Mustered up the motivation to buy dad's book this weekend. Just need to buy red paint and a new messy mat for the girls art hamper (ended up chopping up the mat I'd bought to plug a leak in the bathroom), finish off the snowed-in hamper for my bessie (trip to supermarket required) and just need to sort out Hubby's breakfast in bed box. (shopping trip planned on Saturday whilst he's at footy)
In other festive news, I'm doing a Santa Dash on Sunday with a friend and her son - hoping this will put me in a proper festive mood.0 -
My amazon order came yesterday - I felt like I was unwrapping my own presses but unfortunately they were all for other people0

Hi all, popping in to say hi. :santa2: For some reason i've had an incredibly busy November and haven't been able to keep up, I do miss you all. Hopefully things will start quieting down now. I can't believe i've been joining in all year and now as we're hurtling towards Christmas i've barely had the time to keep up! I admit I have missed a chunk, but I shall start again from now.
Freespirit your mint cake sounds lovely! And by the way, baking makes us far happier than cleaning!
Feisty it's good to hear they can't find anything seriously wrong with your DH, but it is always good to know what is causing it. I'm sorry to hear the shop isn't doing as well as expected, I know how difficult it must be now and that it's hard to stay positive, but you will come out the other side and survive it. I think we always amaze ourselves at how strong we are and what we can shoulder. x
Well I had very grand plans this year to be finished by the 1st Dec (considering i've been buying all year this shouldn't have been difficult), however due to this month being really busy i'm still going to have things to buy after this weekend. Unfortunately most of it I can't get online. Also I had eramarked the 1st Dec to put all my decorations up and have a festive day, but DH is insisting on ploughing on with decorating the living room (as in painting and wallpapering) so my festivities are going to have to wait until the weekend after. Don't get me wrong, i'm glad he wants to get it done and is being productive, but I may gently suggest in future we don't do it in the lead up to Christmas!0 -
FF - hope you get some answers soon. x
Back on the hospital run this week (got day off tomorrow as my Mum has a hospital appt :rotfl:). Different hospital to the usual one but similar direction. Her appt is at 4.20pm - what a stupid time, the traffic is absolutely horrendous by then.
Oh well lunchtime now over.

Well, still in process of wrapping, thanks to you lot I have also wrapped a lot of what I will be taking to Ireland with me, if you all have burning ears on the Sat before Christmas, it will be because Customs have decided to go through car with a fine tooth comb. Had a quick search by them for the last couple of years, but I know, in theory, they can check everything, just hope they don't do it this year, especially as it is the first time I will be taking everything wrapped.
Had a phone call this morning from one of my clients, we are not supposed to give our numbers, but historically the decision was left with us as things could happen and client may want to cancel at last minute and not want us to waste a trip there. Needless to say client is still upset, but appreciates that it is beyond my control and the control of the girl taking over from me, but what is annoying for both of us is that neither of us have been told why my clients have been taken from me. If I ever find out, it will be indirectly and by someone doing it as a courtesy.
Feisty, hope things improving with your hectic life, don't forget to be selfish now and then, if you aren't DH won't have the whirlwind he is married to being able to look after him. Mind you, I misread procedure as pedicure and was a tad confused as to why he suddenly needed one!
JJ, have good trip back and recover quickly.
Going to finish writing cards tonight, as I suddenly have Wednesday nights free  and possibly finish wrapping what I have, can then gauge where I am properly.A smile costs little but creates much0 -

Oh GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY that is good that client although still understandably upset does understand that it was completely out of your hands and not your decision, i cant believe that no one has actually sat you down to explain it all, pretty disgusting really in the circumstances of the job you do#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
