I hope you enjoy the Christmas market today!
Well, DH had his procedure yesterday and they have said they can't find anything glaringly obvious wrong, which is great, but doesn't explain what is causing the fluid. One of the cardiac techs told him that providing nothing else is thrown up during analysis, he can come home today - I'm not holding my breath
I'm really happy nothing obvious has shown up, but also a little perplexed and worried they will just send him home - this will mean the last two weeks has all been for nothing, as he will start inflating with fluid again. Plus we still haven't heard anymore about his hydrocele repair, which is the whole reason he wanted to be admitted.
I'm losing a bit of my positivity today - the shop made £0 again yesterday, and it's just a constant worry - we still owe £1.8k on a credit card because of it, MOT and car tax are due next month, and we are still struggling with money - sigh.'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0 -
Am so **** off I could cry. Haven't even got dressed today.
Monday would have been my Nans birthday. Dd didn't know this, as she died before she was born. So my Mum phoned her on Monday to ask her to help her get something down off a high shelf. Dd goes round there. Mum is !!!!!!. Dd gets book down and makes them both a of tea. My Mum gives Dd £10.
Roll on yesterday. mum now sober, goes to shop to buy a paper and no £10 in her purse.
She then phones everyone and tells them Dd has stolen the money and she wants nothing more to do with her. Dd crying rings and is told she is a thief and to F off.
My cousin then puts a post on FB about water being thicker than blood and some people should be ashamed of themselves.
I phone my Dad and he says Dd shouldn't have taken the money from her because she was drunk and she should have known better.
And when I say she phoned everyone I mean all my aunts and cousins. And because she was sober and crying I think they believed her. Not one of them has phoned me to see what really happened.
Dd was in tears all afternoon yesterday. She only stopped when she fell asleep on the sofa.
If my Dad mentions it I will tell him to stick it. I have had enough of my family. I would be quite happy to never see any of them again.
I have just been sitting here all day fuming.
I have told Dd to try not to get upset, the old bag will have no-one to help her soon and she will be a lonely old woman.0 -

What an awful situation OMO for you and your dd.
Wanted ideas to go with Bro and S-i-L's pressie - DH came up with the idea of a tagine. Liked the idea but I can only find mini ones in the price range I can afford to if anyone sees any about 28cm for a reasonable price please point me in the right directions.
Written my Australia cards ready to post in the morning. :j I received my first xmas card yesterday - I don't think they belong to this thread or maybe they do :rotfl:

Wow OMO just wow, you poor dd. is this a common issue with your mum, getting !!!!ed & forgetting things she did?
If it were me I would hope I could ignore it but I know that I would probably post on the cousins facebook post that old drunk !!!!!es shouldn't ask their grand-kids to do something & give them money to say thank unless they are sober enough to remember doing it.
I would also be making that visit the last time she saw my kids. what a nightmare. I feel terrible for your dd, give her a hug from me.
My niece had a similar issue recently, her gran had asked her to buy something for a 3rd party who lives local to niece. My sister had already told gran that she wouldn't be buying it, gran said ok and last anyone heard of it. Few weeks later money comes in the post, same amount as nieces pocket money & usual method so she thinks it is her PM, txts gran as usual to say thanks & got called a thief for spending it & not buying the gift my sister had already said she wouldn't be buying.
My sister went mad & my niece has cut her gran off. Just not worth the toxic people in your life.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

My Mum is always drunk. I haven't spoken to her since last Christmas Eve.
I'm just upset that she has told everyone dd is a thief. Even though they all know she drinks they are going to believe her over a child. Dd has said she has the money. She told me when she got in.
I really do have a dysfunctional family.
I would be quite happy to never see any off them again.0
