Feisty-I can only echo what everyone else has said and also mrs moneypennys thoughts that you both have to be due some good news/luck soon xx

I have just come back soaked from a walk with the hound- the weather is bloody awful! Got caught in sleet and what felt like 600 mph winds! Frozen to the bone! Even the hound didn't like it and she loves the cold/wind/rain and MUD!

    Definitely an 'indoors' day!
    lovin' this site!

  • Very quick barging in post with DH update - sadly they have found a lot of blood in his liver and they strongly suspect liver failure. They've advised if this is the case, it will be manageable for 10-15 years, but after that it will be kaput - can't stop worrying about the risks involved with transplant rejection, and the fact his heart is so delicate :(

I have been pro-active and cut back 2 hours from my morning work placement (thank goodness they are so understanding) this should give me enough time to stay on top of all the orders coming in and get the house into some sort of habital state, before I dash off to close up shop and visit DH late afternoon.

Oh FEISTY my lovely, im so sorry, this is something else for you and DH to deal with, is this connected to the first problem or sadly just something that has happened? We are all here for you and sending lots of get well wishes to DH, and hugs for you, im so glad your placement have been understanding, that must be a big help and a relief. I like the other lovelies wish we were nearer and could help out, hope you have some good friends to support you. xx

Sorry to hear your news FF. You must try and stay positive. 10-15 years is along time in medicine. They are making breakthroughs very day in treatments. Am sending hugs. xxxx

Freezers both sorted now. I have 1 and bit drawers empty for Christmas. Robbie's toys sorted, so we have room for the new ones next month. And 3 wash loads done.
I thought I was pretty much up to date with it then ds sorted his room.

It's been raining here all day. Really wanted to pop out this afternoon, but am not going to town in this. :(

May go and sort the stockings out in a minute. Dd wants me to put hers in the House of Fraser bag. Ds will get whatever bag I find, as he couldn't care less. :)

I saw the teaspoons from that site at the Ideal home show. But the man wasn't selling them, they were just props. Now I know where to get them. :D

All presents sorted. Stockings sorted. :D
I still have loads to wrap. I haven't wrapped one on ds' presents yet.
I think I have about 20 things left. Am going to leave them until next Saturday and finish them off in one go.

Been through food lists. Dd was going on about the snow again when she got in. 100 days of snow she read somewhere.
I think I may get the big shop this Saturday. We have a frozen crown and beef joint anyway, so it won't hurt getting them now. Will also get some frozen roast potatoes and yorkshires.
I don't cook from fresh at Christmas anymore. I did it when the kids were younger and spent more time in the kitchen than with them. :(
