    Evening :D

Went to my cousins after work to pick up my sewing machine. She lives near a Home Bargains so had to pop in there. :)
Picked up 2 toys for Mia and 4 bags of gravy bones. I am trying to get enough of everything she eats incase it does snow and I can't get out. And I don't really want to go up there again before Christmas. I think I feel a bit shopped out after the weekend. Need some good indoors time.

Oh I got some of those gravy bones - good value at 89p for a huge bag!

Hello everyone - I'm so so sorry I've been missing recently. Lots going on at work unfortunately :(

I've been busy doing my craft fairs also so not had much time to come on here in the evenings, but I've been lurking!

Totally cheeky ask since I've been MIA but has anyone seen any packs of large silver bells (the round type). I see Poundland have packs of red and white, and I'd like the same as those but in Silver if possible. Thank you all so much - I know you will be able to tell me if there are any out there!

Much Christmas love to you all and hopefully I'll be back here properly next week xxx
  • B&M had packs of bells there were 12 in a pack and i remember seeing that one pack had 6 silver and 6 of another colour so cant remember wwhat the other colour was (possibly purple or blue) they werent expensive and a decent size. i thought they make lovely i believe bells.

PoppyGirl - I have seen silver bells a few places...different sizes too... trying to remember where now :/
I know I saw some at a garden centres, they were in a range most independent garden centres and little shops seem to stock which always have loads of them...
but I've seen them a few places, other places I've been - Homebase, Asda, and Tescos.... I'll keep thinking...

    Definitely homebase - http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=110&storeId=10151&partNumber=194220

I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

I saw the teaspoons from that site at the Ideal home show. But the man wasn't selling them, they were just props. Now I know where to get them. :D
All presents sorted. Stockings sorted. :D
I still have loads to wrap. I haven't wrapped one on ds' presents yet.
I think I have about 20 things left. Am going to leave them until next Saturday and finish them off in one go.
Been through food lists. Dd was going on about the snow again when she got in. 100 days of snow she read somewhere.
I think I may get the big shop this Saturday. We have a frozen crown and beef joint anyway, so it won't hurt getting them now. Will also get some frozen roast potatoes and yorkshires.
I don't cook from fresh at Christmas anymore. I did it when the kids were younger and spent more time in the kitchen than with them. :(

Im with you on that one, going frozen is so much quicker, i do fresh veg but thats it and can spend more time with the kids

I pre prep alot of my stuff, I pre boil & part roast potatos in goose fat then flash freeze them, on the day they take 30mins to ris up & defrost. I also cook carrots, peas, brussels all the day before then reheat in the micro with a knob of butter 5 mins before eating. I slow cook pork the day before then coat in honey & mustard & roast & crisp up the cracking on the day. Saves heaps of time & everyone think you are super woman on the day. lol.
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Went to B&M today and they had a jar (like the shaped spice jars that you get) but it was cinnamon and sugar with a built-in grinder. It was only 99p so it found its way home with me to go with my taste of Christmas pressies. :D

    That's lovely on pancakes...:D

Great day today. No losing things. Just lots of shopping, eating & drinking. Bought some more jewellery in silver scene, had Christmas coffees in Nero, a couple of new Christmas CDs and finally got my hair cut!

Looked in both Poundlands here and no cellophane bags in either.

Poppygirl if I need Christmas bells I usually get one of these decorations from Poundland/99p shop etc and pull it apart http://www.poundland.co.uk/christmas-bell-wreath-tree-decoration. You get quite a few bells on one wreath. The link I've included is for white bells but you can usually find silver or gold ones about.
Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.
