Went missing yesterday, what am I like! After a stern talking to from my DF and a thoughtful message from my sister from another mister Freespirit Im feeling much better :) The BD was yapping at my heels and I was basically driving myself mad. Thankfully this thread and you lovelies never fail to make me smile :) Thank you for that xxx

Nic aaarrgh how frustrating that your signs had been broken, hope there replacements arrive very quickly and you can get on with your orders xxx
Mrsinvisible you do make me chuckle, I do hope the windows are done! Your festive greenery sounds very intriguing, did you manage to work your magic? How annoying your debenhams order wasn't complete, hope you managed to sort that without too much hassle. I've been annoyed today, not with debenhams but trying to find a landline number for tesco. Agh it drives me mad, we cancelled our landline home phone in June it's a very long story but I didn't have it plugged in so thought I'd not miss it, use my mobile for most things anyway - except of course blooming 0870 0845 numbers! Tried the say no site but their suggestions didn't work either :( ended up going into the store, but it's frustrating isn't it. xxx
Wuvvie hiya my lovely, we've missed you. Oh no I can't believe you've another trapped nerve, how awful. They are so painful, I know Freespirit has been suffering for months too. Don't start me on empty nest, it's a bummer. All I can say is I'm sending lots of love xxx
Pixtotts yesterday you thought you may be in for panic! And today your posts have made me smile (needed that too so thank you) ooh you sound full of Christmas spirit xxx
Carlamarie haha, shares in Duracell required :) I agree with Mandco for the children a little craft set of some description. Maybe make Christmas cards, door sign etc. xxx
Cupofchai how sweet of your DH. I'd rather have a present like that than a diamond. So very thoughtful :) hope the poinsettia is perking up after the TLC xxx
Just b thanks for the heads up on the chocolate things X
Pinksteps I just love your DSs humour :) ssssh don't tell Santa xxx
Murie hello you, I've missed you. Glad you are back, no disappearing off again. Haha. Well done on your weight loss that's brilliant go you xxx
Ruth how lovely a mini break for you and DH, I fancy seeing Brighton too. You sound like you are having such a good time. Enjoy xxx
Curly aha somebody who's not that fussed by Yankee candles- at last. Although I have promised to give them another go, all the lovelies love them, makes me a little left out! I'm off to google a driftwood Christmas tree :) X
Alja hiya my lovely, good to 'see' you. I've missed your posts. I'm glad your done, but it is your responsibility to come on and kick butt to those of us who are not quiet as organised xxx
Peppapig I'm trying to persuade my grumpy DH to take me to the range, at the moment he's not playing :( xxx
Joee aww how very lovely of you to remember. Thank you so much for that. I've got the DVD on my wish list (amazon) but like it on the v+ then I can dip in and out. It's perfect being on the 26th will cheer me up xxx
Poppygirl hope the craft fair went well. I've bought very pale silvery bell (I believe bells) from matalan on there 3 4 2 deal hth X
Pinklady you are doing so well. I've DGD1 birthday end of nov then DGD2 on 20th dec, makes a little bit more organising doesn't it. Wow baby number six how wonderful xxx
Quidsy please don't burst my bubble, I thought you were super woman xxx
Molliemunchkin ooooh I love your name, and avatar. X
Feisty and Mr Feisty sending hugs and lots of love. Remember my DH you've still got hope. And as Linky so rightly says, 15 years is a very long time in medicine. Try and find a few mins just for you too please, be kind to yourself xxx

Linky I am pleased (well nearly) to announce yesterday I sorted out all presents. Looked at each bundle- assessed and boxed up appropriately. Will start to wrap next week. Oh my word there wasn't a single free space in my room with everything out. Had to clear a space to get into bed! But it's a task done :)
Have a large basket (think laundry basket) full of bits to make things - hopefully!
Large storage box full of ribbons, bows etc everything together, tape, scissors etc.

Got to do food shopping tomorrow and a cake which is already getting on my nerves, due out on Friday. No more Christmas for me this week. Have decided to order a Christmas tree decal, I reckon in my new room, if I'm not having a real tree I may as well. I could end up crying and rushing out Christmas week to buy a tree but that's the plan. xxx

  • jj so glad you are having a great time :)

Nana, I will lend you my feisty chihuahuas to chase that black dog away! They may be wee, but are very fierce ;)

OMO did you get into town?

Well I've finally had time to browse the poundland brochure and oh my goodness it's been shot wonderfully. You wouldn't be surprised to find that the magazine belonged to John Lewis etc, so to learn it is actually poundland is fantastic! My shop customers can be a wee bit snobby, so I will be filling my trolley with poundland stock and marking it up ;) Then, what ever doesn't sell can make it's way home with me! My cousin (who is manning the shop) is trying to make a Christmas display, but seeing as I'm loathe to spend any more money on it, she doesn't really have much to work with lol. She has fallen in love with the shop, and to me it is the unmentionable money pit lol

There is a wee chance DH will be home tomorrow :D

  • Morning everyone

Just read posts from the last few days.

FF - hope hubby gets back home with you soon. We are still hospital visiting each day (2nd week) and I find it so tiring and draining. Xmas plans seem to have come to a bit of a halt - by the time we pick other visitors up, go to hospital, drop off, call at Mums to spend a bit of time with her, its tea time and by the time everything is cleared away - don't feel like doing much. :(

Ruth - sounds as though you are having a fab time. Hubby keeps saying how much he has missed having a little break either York/Harrogate as we have done for the last few years. Said he will go just for the day to York but by the time we have trudged around everywhere and then drive home he can hardly move for the rest of the week :rotfl:

Nana - pleased to see you are feeling a bit better today. Can I just say 'I love your posts'. If anyone was struggling to catch up, they could just read one of your posts and they would be brought up to date with what everyone was up to. I don't know how you do it. :D

Amazed with the Poundland brochure. Would never have guessed it was theirs.

    Take care everyone

Fiesty, I'm so sorry to hear of the continuing medical issues your poor oh is suffering, I know how stressful long term medical problems are for all concerned, my oh has just had the 6th op in 3 years for what should have been a minor medical problem which due to an incompetent doctor turned into a big "thing". No where near as mega as you are dealing with but I do know how draining emotionally & at times physically it can be. As others have said, alot can be discovered, developed etc in 10-15 years so try to look at each day forward & hope improvements for treatment are made.

And if you ever need to vent you know where we are.
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

    Xmas Saver!
FF No I didn't get into town. It stayed cold and wet all day. Just got back from walking Mia and I got soaked. Have changed my clothes and am having a quick coffee before going to work. I must look in the Range for some waterproof trousers. I had my long coat on and wellies, but my knees were wet and cold. :rotfl:

Will try and get in to town tomorrow afternoon as I finish at 3.

Am doing the weekly shop tonight at Aldi. Must remember to look for powdered milk for the winter box.I hate the stuff but it's better than nothing.

Hope everyone has a good day. :)
  • Well, my visitor was unceremoniously dumped in the bin last night :j Hope that is the last.

Gosh, it has got nippy over the last couple of days, can cope with the cold, it is the wet I dislike intensely, so hope you are all getting insanely festive now.

Not had a chance to go back over posts, so the usual hugs, congrats etc to everyone.
A smile costs little but creates much :)
