Sorry I have been away a while- life got in the way of my Christmas addiction!
Have done a quick skim through the last 600 or so pages (seems like it but prob only 10!!) and big hugs to everyone who needs them, Feisty and wuvvie especially. Freespirit- bummer about the tumble drier- I would be lost without mine.
OMO- glad you enjoyed your stay in London- the pics are fabulous (I don't like the dyson stag either!). Your crystal stag looks fab!
Namamia- well done on the weight loss-you and mrsinvisible have inspired me at SW- I have lost 11 and half llb in the 5 weeks since I started.
On the Christmas front I haven't had much time to do any shopping either online or in the flesh (oo er!) but I have just managed to place an order on the body shop using the FB code so that's a few stocking fillers sorted.
Will try my damndest not to stay away for so long next time-but now DH has just come home early I have to pop!
Take care everyone

Hello from sunny (but cold!) Brighton!
Having a few days away with DH while my mum looks after Blossom. She thinks she's having some chill out time and will have lots of time to stitch. I think the cat may have other ideas! Lol!
Having a dippy day today. Hubby almost left one of the cases on the tube earlier and then we had a panic at the hotel when I realised we didn't have the rucksack with us. It's only a small thing, but had hubby's Samsung tablet in it. We had it at lunch, so DH raced back there to see and thank goodness it was still on the floor under the table. Have to both be more careful! Had a festive pasty for lunch-three cheese with cranberry. Then a mince treat for dessert (mincemeat in a sweet pastry tube). Yum!
Hotel has a gym and pool so will be good and burn it off later. Off to have a wander round the shops to see what lovely festive things Brighton has to offer. Already bought myself some amber earrings...;)Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

NANAMIA :rotfl:omg we are like peas in a pod, no i dont possess a washing line either, no luck on freegle or freecycle might have a look at ones in the next town see if they have any, the blooming washing is piling up and my towels still arent dry from yesterday, and they are hung all over the conservatory which is driving me nuts already, people look at me in disgust when i say i tumble everything :rotfl:but that is just how i roll! :rotfl::rotfl:haha yes i am going through Nigella Christmas, the muffins and sticky gingerbread i do every year but this year i fancied doing some new bits, isnt it funny how different recipes appeal to you at different times, hope the maple cheesecake goes well, yes the sausages are for a buffet, so take out of freezer defrost then tip sausages and glaze into baking tin and cook, i would never have done them before because of sweet chilli sauce being in it, but i bought some mild and mmm it tasted lovely.
Oh FEISTY, right my lovely, you cannot please everybody so dont try, i can understand they arent happy but in the circumstances DH in hospital is unavoidable and they should have some understanding of this. This is what you and DH both wanted and now he is in, something has to be done so things are moving forward, you cannot do everything at once so deal with one thing at a time then move on to the next thing, DH is in the best place until they get back at least they can control the pain there for him. Now put your hob nail boots on and give that BD a big kick from me xx
Oh WUVVIES i have been thinking of you, how you are getting on, i dont know if it is the same but i have a trapped nerve in my back and it travels down my leg, i have had it since march, am on painkillers, but i still cant walk very far without it being painful, its driving me mad i have had enough, i dont know if it is sort of the same thing but you have my sympathies because it is very painful, it does seem to be getting better but how long does it take for a trapped nerve to become untrapped??? The sciatic nerve is b****y painful i know that, dont know if you have thought about acupuncture?
NIC that sounds a good plan, glad there is a kitty so you dont end up with most of the expense, hope you get all your signs done so you can have a lovely december with the littlies
CARLAMARIE welcome back my lovely, i am afraid i cant help with advice about bits for kiddies mine are too old and i am way out of the loop
thanks for your kind thoughts. im off work at the moment as ive had my op and also a nerve untrapped from my elbow. the docs have assured me that my sciatica is nothing to do with the nerve untrapping in my arm. seems funny to me its on the same side and have now got problems with my back and leg.
im still desperately trying to get some sort of relationship with my daughter..if you remember she left as she turned 16. just went to school and never came back. its so hard to look at her without crying. my life seems shattered. the same week my eldest went to uni leaving just me and my little boy now. hes 9 and i feel sorry for him that hes just on his own now. im trying to over compensate by trying to do as much with him as i can. we baked cakes today and did a puzzle.
ive read of empty nest syndrome but never realised how sad it is when they leave0 -
For those that don't wander too far from this thread, you may be unaware that there is currently a M&S glitch on the Grabbit forum, whereby you spend £50 on items that are marked at half price (these are mostly beauty items), and use a £10 off a £50 spend code on the codes board, which will give you £50 worth of items for £15 delivered to your local store.

Hello all fellow Christmas nutters
I'm still reading through the last few pages but wanted to say that if anyone lives near Kingston Upon Thames then in the Bentalls Centre there's a Yankee Candle shop and most things are 25% off. I'm not big fan so don't know what's this years stock etc. but even the Christmas stuff they had was in the sale too. HTH
PS: After last year being a rubbish one with OH's work, we couldn't afford to have a Christmas tree. We're making up for it this year as we've just bought a driftwood one - how excited am I!!!!! Anyone else got one?Sealed Pot Challenge Member no. 048

Evening
pixtotts thanks for the link. There all loads of great bits in there I want. I can't believe some of it is actually in a pound shop.
I am so glad I have tomorrow off work. I can take Mia for a later walk after all the kids start school. That way I can go over the fiend and just throw a ball for half an hour rather than walk her on the lead for one hour. She is getting fitter but half an hour running is still enough for her at the moment.
Then the freezers can be sorted out, to see how much room I have free.
Went to my cousins after work to pick up my sewing machine. She lives near a Home Bargains so had to pop in there.
Picked up 2 toys for Mia and 4 bags of gravy bones. I am trying to get enough of everything she eats incase it does snow and I can't get out. And I don't really want to go up there again before Christmas. I think I feel a bit shopped out after the weekend. Need some good indoors time.
Also bought 2 large bottles of beer.(Stella and Bud). One for ds' stocking and one for a friends husband. I just get him a token gift as I feel bad giving to her and not him. Ds will most probably not drink his but he will like the size of the bottle.
May try to get some wrapping done as well if I don't sit down, put on a Christmas film and fall asleep. :rotfl:
Hope everyone has had a good or (not bad) day.
Glad you enjoying Brighton Ruth-honey.
FF hope dh is having a better day today.0
