OMO beautiful pictures! One day I would love to do just that in London, I always stressed about driving there and cramming everything into one day when we go.
Well DH is in, but annoyingly he was admitted so late that no treatment was carried out - I'm struggling to get the shop covered and have sellers renting space from me (understandably) complaining about wonky opening hours - I'm basically working 3 full time jobs in one day (also snowed under with orders and nursing) and trying to visit DH and having to sort the dogs out solo (no mean feat for my fuss pots) I see a big black dog looming on the horizon
DH has a top cardiac consultant and a regular cardiac consultant responsible for his care and they are both off to a big cardiac conference in Scotland today, which means effectively DH is stranded in hospital until they come back
OMO can I add a wee task to the list this week - I will have written and addressed envelopes to all cards that need to be posted.[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Lovely to see you Carlamarie hope you are doing ok? Xx
I think we will ditch the starters and just have a small bowl of soup, main, pudding is always later anyway then posh nibbles incase anyone is hungry later. We always eat at 3 pm, and we are always stuffed later on, but by 9pm of the adults are up having a wee drink, some nice nibbles will go down well.
We have decided to do a kitty so we have a budget for all the food and drink. Usually my mum paid for it all, god knows how much she spent as there was always tons.
I have done nothing Christmassy prep wise either as I still have lots of orders to get our by the 1st of Dec. I worked on them all day yesterday and still have lots to do. It didnt help when I opened a parcel from my supplier and 6 out of the 9 Christmas signs were snappedlooks like My Hermes were playing football with my parcel!
She is resending them all, but it will hold me up.
I want all orders out by the beginning of Dec, then I can relax a bit and enjoy the December activities with my kiddies, x:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Huge hugs Fiesty. Glad to hear your OH is in, it must be frustrating with the delays though.
I wish I was closer, I would come and man your shop for you (as long as I could sit and paint at the counter lol) . Do you have any friends who could help out? X
OMO, your pictures are fab, looks like a great weekend. X:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Good morning, all. Feisty, hope you get cover sorted, and that DH gets the meds sorted and anything else needed to get him well.
OMO loved the London photos, it took me back, glad you had a lovely time, your friend sounds like me, at least with the luck and price tags, that is.
Nanamia well done on the de-sizing, go you.
Cold and frosty outside, but it looks like it could be bright and sunny, so it will be warm behind glass.
Some odds and ends of shopping today, then clean the windows euch, but they are so bad l have to go outside to check whether its daylight or dark.0 -
i loved the london photos whoever posted them. i feeling a little more christmassy now. weve been using the weekends to watch christmas films with my little boy.im still off sick from work after recovering from my arm operation and NOW i have sciatica in my back and legs. totally unconnected. cant beleive it. im on just over half pay so about 2/3 pay really from one job and no pay from the other so i really need to get back to work. i just am in so much pain and im bored too. i wanted to get back to work to do the christmas lunch ( im a cook) but thats in a couple of weeks and i cant see that i will be.so im reading lots of christmas magazines and watching telly. ive been to the docs and looking into it on the internet it seems the best thing for my back is to keep moving but the pain in my leg is so intense - how can i do that!! anyone had any experience of this??0

FeistyFidget - Hope everything gets a bit easier for you soon. I wish I lived closer I'd man the shop for you, but I don't sadly. (heehee just saw someone else say the same you'd have a whole army if we all lived closer :P)
nic2075 Sorry to hear about your signsunfortunately hermes have a bad rep for not being as careful as they could be
hopefully your new ones get to you safely
Nanamia I'm with OMO Your definitely not lagging behind. Your still way out in front of most of us! lol
I'm having a lazy day, I have done nothing to earn it, but one of those times I have so much to do I just want to do nothing :S.
I have just agreed to house sit again over Christmas, which means all my Christmas stuff needs to be done before I go, so now by the 15th 16th at the latest :S made even harder by my dad working in Germany at the moment so only home for the weekend every 2 weeks, so he only has 2 more weekends at home before Christmas! It's suddenly creeped up on me!
So today all I am going to do is make a list... then panic! lol
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -
Thank you to those who are asking after me, I am good thank you, hope you're all well?
I've decided to rejoin this thread if no one minds? I've missed reading up on everyone's preparations and hopefully joining in will give me the kick start I need to get my own preps going.
I will return later with a bigger list of what still needs to be done, but for now, here is my tasks for this week
Decide exactly what I am getting everyone
Finish wrapping my kids presents I have so far
Get up in the loft (need dh to be here to help me back down again), to get the in laws presents for my kids and wrap them for them!
Complete my battery list (and find appox £1million to pay for the things!)
Arrange a magazine subscription for niece
Make a start on my food shopping list
Also, while I'm here, mil gave me £15 to get the kids a treat for the 1st dec. she usually gets them an advent calendar for at her house, but as she's moved, we don't get there as often, so it's pretty pointless!
I thought a small gift bag each, some sort of xmas themed chocolate, a christmas activity or colouring book and???
I will probaly buy the tubes of chocs afford £1and the books for £1 also so that leaves £3 each Any ideas? The kids are 6,5 and 2Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0
