Hi all, i've been really missing catching up with you all but things just seem to have got so manic lately, work is really busy and house stuff is taking over my evenings. Everything has settled down on the house front now after our bath water emptying into the kitchen! Thanks for your concern freespirit and Nanamia - the plumber who fitted the bathroom came over straight away, got his electrician over to chekc the electrics and he's coming back to sort out and paint the stained kitchen ceiling next week. Not the best start to our new bathroom but hopefully it'll all be fine now.
Sorry if i've missed any big news but I haven't managed to catch up, i'll try and go back and read when I have a minute.
I'm very excited as my friend is coming up to visit me tomorrow then we're off to the Ideal Home Show at Christmas tomorrow! Woohoo! :T She's staying the night so when we get back we're going to curl up on the sofa with hot chocolate and watch a Christmas film. :j
Thanks OMO for mentioning that the snow globe biscuit tins are half price in M&S, i've been waiting for this to happen! I just hope I manage to get there before the deal ends.
Love, tinsel and all sparkly Chritmassy things to you all!0 -
Afternoon everyone,
DD1 went off to work in her giraffe onesie today for CIN, she looked so funny going out to her car, at least she will be nice and warm todayFreespirit than you, I'm really looking forward to putting my hampers together this year. I am doing the football manager one, two retro sweety hampers, a pamper hamper for my friend and a pamper hamper for my mum. I wasn't going to do one for my mum originally but she's always impressed/jealous of the ones I put together for others so she's been added to the list. Anymore than that and I'll have a nervous breakdown so everyone else just has normal gifts :rotfl:I do enjoy it though.
Looking forward to everyone coming round to pick up some snow, we've been forecast it for next week so get your wheelbarrows ready  I think out of all of us our border collie enjoys it the most, chasing after snowballs and looking around totally baffled when it disappears.
LINAT yes i love doing them as well, i am doing an american pop and snack hamper this year, oh wow just saw your photo that looks absolutely gorgeous, lucky friend!!!choccymoose wrote: »:xmastree::santa2::rudolf::xmassmile:xmassign::snow_laug:snow_grin

I just had the same mkgirl, i've never had to scroll down that far before!
Thanks freespirit, i'll definitely let you know how we get on!
I found out an exciting fact the other day - when my boss was young her teacher asked her class to write letters to Father Christmas, well hers was picked and was the letter used in Santa Claus the Movie! For you die hard Christmas fans it's the letter that talks about her brother being mean to the cat, I think in the film the little girl that wrote that was from Victorian times or soemthing like that, but it was the letter my boss wrote to Father Christmas! There must have been some sort of competition at the time the film was being made that her teacher entered them into and hers got chosen. I was so excited about this - even more so than her!!0 -
