Popped into town to get keys cut and came home with-
Snow globe biscuit tin for Robbie (half price M&S)
Royal Jelly bubble bath for gt Aunt (half price M&S)
Dog advent for Mia (99p shop)

My dog on the naughty step tonight, little monkey nicked my chicken off my plate when I was sorting youngest out! My fault for leaving it near the edge of the table, we are really strict about him not being fed from the table to the point of him not even having treats in the dining room. I guess this was him rebelling lol'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0

MsGigglewick congratulations on becoming an Auntie, I also became one earlier in the year and am having so much fun buying Christmas presents for her :j
Pixtotts and Mrs-Moneypenny - Come to Derbyshire - I'll quite happily give you some of our snow, normally plenty to go around!
Not been on here for a while so I'm planning to catch up later with a glass of wine and maybe write some cards out. Hope everyone is well, and excited for Christmas of course.
I'm pretty organised, just my mums, brothers, brother-in-law and BFs presents to sort out, and I know what I'm getting them, just waiting for payday! Everything I have is wrapped.
My BF is very into football and thinks he's the next Jose Mourinho, so I'm doing him a "Football Manager Starter Kit" I want it to look quite high-end and sophisticated, ideas so far: An adidas football, "The Managers" hardback book, a leather Manchester City wallet, a bottle of champagne with chocolates and champagne flutes, a bottle of vodka and shot glasses, aftershave, socks and an Esquire/GQ subscription. I wanted some match tickets but it seems they're like gold dust now MCFC have got all too big for their boots. If anyone has any other ideas that would be great.
My main problem is finding something to present it in, it's going to need to be quite large!
Welcome back LINAT i love your hamper idea very different

So sorry I have been awol - yesterday was a long and tiring day and I am swamped with orders!
The hospital news was much better than fearedThey 'think' they may be able to tweak his medicine and give him so relief
They need to do some more tests (including a catheter needle into his heart through his throat eeek!) and he will need one op, but all in all I left feeling more positive then I have in yonks!
It's our four year anniversary today and we didn't even manage to exchange cardsWe are both gutted as are lucky enough to have an amazing marriage and are so caring and considerate to each other.
With that in mind, I'm after some advice - following on the shop saga, we have taken an average of £25 the last few Sundays we've been open (all day sadly) and we are due to work all day this Sunday too. I'm considering sneaking out and buying lots of DH favourite food to hide, and then on Sunday when we get up to go to work (both feeling very grumpy that it's going to be a day stuck in a cold, damp shop with no customers) I can shout surprise, we're having a duvet day with nommy food.
The downside to this is that some customers may on the off chance (not likely) trek out to the shop just to look (we've nicknamed it the museum) and then get annoyed that we are closed?
What do you think?
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MR AND MRS FEISTY  am so glad you came away from hospital feeling positive, eww that doesnt sound very nice does itlets hope they get it all organised quickly. I honestly think you need a lovely day of nice things, just the two of you together, and switch off to everything and everyone, you both deserve and need a day like this after this year
MKGIRL love the doormat
CHOCCYMOOSE they are little monkeys arent they, when mine was a pup he nicked a homemade loaf off the worktop and ran out into the garden with it, it had only just come out of the breadmaker :rotfl:
I hate snow, the only time i dont mind is xmas eve until boxing day, when no one has to go out and drive in it, i must admit it is pretty.#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

Freespirit than you, I'm really looking forward to putting my hampers together this year. I am doing the football manager one, two retro sweety hampers, a pamper hamper for my friend and a pamper hamper for my mum. I wasn't going to do one for my mum originally but she's always impressed/jealous of the ones I put together for others so she's been added to the list. Anymore than that and I'll have a nervous breakdown so everyone else just has normal gifts :rotfl:I do enjoy it though.
Looking forward to everyone coming round to pick up some snow, we've been forecast it for next week so get your wheelbarrows ready  I think out of all of us our border collie enjoys it the most, chasing after snowballs and looking around totally baffled when it disappears.
Saver88 - That would be a great idea except he always has Football Manager on pre-order or queues up with all the other geeks in A*DA at midnight on the day it comes out, so he already has it unfortunatelyIt's a shame because that would really pull it all together!

I received my first Christmas card yesterday!
My bestie has written them early (whilst bored a children's party) and decided to hand them out now as last year she forgot where she'd put them and ended up running around on Christmas eve delivering them:rotfl:0
