I have a veg & meat delivery every Friday from Riverford farms. Plus got stuff in the freezer, bread etc so should be ok but we rarely get snow this early in the SE (she said, jinxing herself!)

    afternoon all
sorry dont think i said hello this morning

hugs and good wishes to all who need them.

im not as keen on the tesco ad asi am the lewis one, was disappointed to see theyve already started cutting the lewis ad down so it doesnt make as much sense now.

im still listening to smoothchristmas they mentoined this today

    http://propercrimbo.co.uk/
if you use the code SMOOTH at the checkout you get 10% off for being a good listener

i saw we have really bad weather predicted, i suppose it would make sense to get some stand bys in early just in case

    HTH

hope everyone is well organised and has something in their day to smile about

re the bad weather, i am such a child. i adore snow and love a good white out.
i work in a school so get as excited as the kids over the thought of a 'snow day'
BUT i will say i hope the weather isnt as bad as predicted and it only snows during the actual christmas holidays as i know the disruption on the roads isnt as much fun as a romantic christmas card scene especially when you live in areas that get cut off. i know a blizzard and a power cut isnt everyones idea of fun.

Thanks for these OMO i had no idea, so i will be stocking up as well then, we live in a village which frequently gets snowed in and a couple of little shops end up with nothing within minutes of opening.

Pinknfluffy -sorry to hear about your accident, as you may know I had one a couple of weeks ago and it really does shake you up, on the plus side for me I am currently swanning around in an Audi A6 with 1000 miles on the clock instead of my10 year old beetle with 120000 mile on the clock as the approved hire company only had premiuim cars in stock ...shame :j
Still checking in as much as I can but just seem to be rushed off my feet all the time!
Just found out that step daughter is coming for christmas (shes 23) so need to get some small stocking bits for her. In fact she messaged me last night saying that she loves coming to ours because its such a family occasion and she loves how I do her a silly little stocking to open whenthe younger ones get up, so if that wasnt a hint that she wants one I dont know what is lol.

If any one has kids who like starwars the thumbdoodles on amazon are great :)
Just ordered ds2 a personalised hoody for taekwondo to add to stocking gifts, and talking of him he is now in too set of maths, in the space of 5 mths he has gone from bottom set of 2 sets to top set of 5 sets, as his new school doesnt see why his literacy issues should limit his enjoyment and progress in Maths. :T

What's a thumb doodle? I just looked but still can't make out what they are. They might be good for my 6 yr old DS

    :rotfl: I don't like I'm a Celeb either.

(:o I'm going back to work now :o)

Me neither, I enjoyed the first few times, but can't be bothered with it now. Same with X factor.

Forgot to ask, anyone else getting foods bits in early incase we do get this bad snow forecasted ?

I'm going to try and sort the freezer out tomorrow night so I can stock up on Monday after work.

I have been using up my stockpile, so i will need to get it replenished. I always do in the winter after living in Aberdeenshire for a few years (-18 )

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days I've been reading still but typing hasnt happened, I've just been feeling really meh, nothing seems to be going to plan and I'm feeling really sick and achey, which is odd for me.

    OMO - I don't like I'm a celeb either ;)
msgigglewick - congrats on the new nephew
choccymoose - never too old for a stocking! If I was her I'd be spending every Christmas at yours! I'm 24 and my little sis is 17 and we both still get stockings which we still open in mum and dads bed on Christmas day. Have to say we definitely don't all fit in there as well as we did when we were younger though... lol

And as for the snow I am one of the few people who prays that the snow does happen, I LOVE snow! I love autumn/winter, I love cold weather and early dark nights. People hate me...
But then I think people go over the top, my friends all live in town (well in the city but I refuse to call Worcester a city... it's too teeny! lol) and we will have plans to meet in town and most of them will phone and say "can't make it because of the snow..." I live rural, I live 15 miles from town and I will always make it, and I only had a little W reg corsa! All of my friends are a load of wimps! They even live in walking distance! I mean they get stuck they can just walk home... I am lucky in that my uncle has a snow plough for his JCB so if i was to get stuck he'd just come clear me a path home lol. Also... this is the midlands we don't even get that much snow here! All the shops were shut in town few years ago and we had a fraction of what was in Leeds where it was business as usual... always amused me!
If I ever move from here, I am going North! I am going to somewhere that gets more snow :D
    x
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....
