Feisty your shop looks fabulous - really wish you were nearer, I could spend all day in there. Will like you on Facebook next time I'm on there. Unfortunately Twitter has bypassed me completely lol.
im lucky that weve never had 'that conversation' i believe in santa and think my kids would be gutted to upset me so no one has ever said anything to the contrary :santa2:

    Ooh, me too....I BELIEVE!!!!!

OMO - I agree with Freespirit - do it your own way. I certainly don't think anyone could ever accuse you of not being Christmassy. Love the quote too.

Baby Boo - sorry you're having a tough time and hope things look up for you very soon.

Watched two Christmas films today (one on True Movies and one on Christmas 24). Half the front room is filled with pressie in various states of wrapping - front half looks like November, back half looks like December 24th. Off to Bingo tonight with DD1 and my sister - free books, bubbly and chocs courtesy of a birthday voucher. Haven't been for ages - I get so nervous in case I win and don't call out properly that if I get anywhere near only wanting one number I almost have palpitations. I've always had this horror that I might call out when I haven't won and I'd be mortified.:o Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.:D
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Been raining here all day. Am now dry and curled up in armchair with fire on watching The Polar Express. Dd is curled up on the sofa and Mia is curled up on her bed.
Could stay here for the rest of the day, but another walk will be needed in a couple of hours. I'm telling you all if I don't have the best legs ever by next Christmas I am going to cry. My thighs are killing me. It's not so much the distance it's the speed we walk. Her pulling is better now as I was given a longer lead by someone at work, but she still walks at quite a pace.
I just keep thinking -no pain no gain.
  • Hey everyone!

Not much to update on the Christmas front. I have technically finished my shopping now - everyone has things lol. I'll probably pick up a few more bits when I see them, but at least I know I don't have to do a mad dash or anything to gather other items...

I had two job interviews today. The second including teaching a lesson [with year 6 - never taught year 6 before], though I came out of that feeling really happy. The second job has a split interview process - the head said she would be in touch tonight to say if I had the panel interview or not, which would be next week. However, the interview this morning was more straight forward - and they called tonight to say they are offering me the job, subject to references. Yay! Already chased up the people doing my references, so hopefully that will be absolutely fine and I'll finally have a job again [and a job I really want too]. Yay! :)

Popped into our Blockbusters today as it is closing down and purchased some new ( not pre-owned) DVDs.
I got the box set of Only Fools and Horses (9 DVDs) for £13.50 :j this will be a family set.
We also now have Fred Clause, £2.25

And for myself I got the 1995 BBC Special Edition Pride and Prejudice DVD for £4.75 :j:j Yes the one where Colin Firth walks out of the pond. The one I spent every Sunday evening watching for weeks.
Can you believe this was on 18 years ago
