morning all
hope everyone is well
front of christmas jumper is finished, ive started on a little christmas stitch for someone. DH saw me last night and said surely you arent starting another project you have a million things on the go? yes! and they ALL need finishing by christmas.
by the end of this month i need to have finished all the items for the craft fayre and get them labeled. I've got 6 that are works in progress, ill finish those before starting any more.
would ideally like back of jumper knitted up - sleeves would be a bonus.
need to have finished two more little cross stitches (including the one i started last night)
i realistically think friends stocking will be for next year now as i dont stand a snowballs chance in hades of getting that done with all the other stuff.
:xmassign::xmastree:But on the plus side smooth christmas is playing:xmassign::xmastree:SPC~12 ot 124

Morning, what a good nights sleep can do for you,? I feel almost raring to go. Omo I love the quote, I have written it down and at some point in the future will find a way to present it to DD, your friend celebrates it her way, you yours, you don't make her feel criminal for overbuying chocolates, so don't let her, or anyone, make you feel you are 'wrong' somehow, you just aren't her!!! (TG).
House feels untidy and out of kilter somehow, perhaps its getting all these jobs done, so perhaps I should go out shopping or visiting today, anything but tidy up that's me!.
I do need fuel for the car, and some housey things, will phone DD and see if she'd like a mamnme morning.
Oh, my tasks for the week for Christmas are get deccys out of the loft and decide which are going to be used and get rid of all the rest.
and write some more cards and presents.0 -
OH is wanting to go do his Christmas shopping this afternoon but my poor old kidneys are dying.. I thought AF had arrived it is so bad..
.. so I am evil now because I said I really don't think I can go. My back is killing. He did ask if I was pregnant though lmao.. one of the first symptoms I got with his children was a uti and extreme tiredness.. and I have both at the moment.
I'm rather looking forward to the weekend as we are making cards with the girls and I have some painting sets for the older girls of festive suncatchers so they will be pretty
I have new wrapping paper and I need to do my holdall of wrapping supplies out of the box in my room.
I am also needing to do a furniture reshuffle so the cot can go up, Pixie is rather long and fills the basket the other 2 were in for 6-8 months!!! She is 3 months on Sunday!
Still waiting on a fair few presents and I need to nag my mother to pay for the things I've got on her behalf that is £155!!! I really need that at the moment.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi
I used this generator last year to generate secret santa names for my family, you just need everyones email addresses and a budget, type them in and then it emails everyone randomly with a name. Simples!
http://www.secretsantamaker.com/list/new0 -
had to smile last night we asked DS2 to point us in the direction of some ideas for christmas he asked what he were thinking of as his budget we told him and he gave us some ideas totalling about £40 less with the comment not sure what santas going to bring me so didnt want to ask for too much.
im lucky that weve never had 'that conversation' i believe in santa and think my kids would be gutted to upset me so no one has ever said anything to the contrary :santa2:

Well done on your weightloss Nanamia:j that's fantastic and you deserve a treat. X
Huge hugs Freespirit, he sounds like an eidgit! X
Glad you got your shop assistant issue sorted, don't feel bad about the other girl, it's tougher when you have your own business, but yo need to do what's right for you and the shop. X
I have hit a stress wall again. Another week of no money and no pressies bought. My car tax was due last week, so it's left me skint. I had closed my order books, but I'm going to open them next week and just work twice as hard.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Morning everyone,Hello everybody, well I arrived back from break away to bad news, I have caught up reading posts now, I haven't posted as a newby I didn't want to come across negative. Like other posters I have also felt overwhelmed with what I have to do for Christmas, so tomorrow's task is to redo my list, taking baby steps. Omo I did buy the stag cushions from tesco so thank you for that. I know that there are others having difficult times as well, so hugs to all that need them. Nanamia I do wish I could post like you my memory is shocking so it's a no goer!! It's lovely to see where everybody is up so I'm hoping the posts will give me a boost as you are a such a nice forum. I must try to get some sleep now, I don't know why I'm still awake as I take enough night time meds to put a bull to sleep
Baby boo x
Oh BABYBOO hope you had a good break, sorry you came back to some bad newsthis forum always gives me a boost so hope it does for you

I am going read back and update the task list.
Freespirit I saw this on Facebook and thought of you and the !!!!! ExH. I hope you find it funny.

I think she only goes on about it because of the price. I was telling her about Pinterest and she opened an account. One board- My Pandora Charms.
Freespirit The stag looks lovely.( I have an extra hole in the wale behind mine as well)
Your dogs are so sweet. You must have been heart-broken losing one if them. They eyes are amazing. My step-sister has 2 huskies. One if them has one blue eye and one brown eye.
I bumped into a friend the other day. She is Christmas mad. But not in the same way as me, if that makes sense. She comes from a big family and Christmas was the time when they all got together. She tries to relive it every year. She buys every box of chocolates and sweets that she can. Even though she knows there will still be loads left at Easter.
Well I happened to say I wasn't having a tree this year and she went mad.:rotfl:
I didn't have one last year, but obviously she never came here as she didn't know. Honestly you would have thought I had killed someone. She made is sound like we weren't having a proper Christmas because we didn't have a 7 foot tree. I told her we didn't have room and she said ' Why did you buy that many units if you haven't got room for a tree ! '
Oh yes, I'll live with a large gap in the corner all year just so we can have a tree up for a few weeks.
Her tree is lovely but it is way to big for her lounge. She has to move every bit of furniture, and I find it a bit claustrophobic. She changes nearly every ornament for a Christmas one. It's all a bit much for me.
I'm a bit more minimalistic. Less is more. A big tree in here would get me down. And to be honest () I've only just got the lounge how I want it, I don't want to change it to much for Christmas.
Does that make me un-Christmassy ?
I did the big tree and garlands everywhere when we lived in the old house. It was Victorian with high ceilings and could take lots of decs. This house is a new build and it's too small for it. And I have a dog and baby to content with this year.
It upset me, then I thought I don't have to justify why I'm not having a tree. It my home and my choice.
OMG that is hilarious about your pandora friend and pinterest, its made my day!! Aah thankyou about dogs, yes we were devastated especially seen as she was only 5, one blue and one brown eye is very common in huskies.
Oh god your friends are hilarious was she serious when she said why did you buy so many cupboards??? LMAO :rotfl:no you definitely arent being un-christmassy a tree isnt the be all and end all of christmas!!! Its not as if you arent having anything christmassy, your forest will look fabulous and very festive and chic, each to their own i say, and people shouldnt make other people upset just because they arent doing the same as them
MRSINVISIBLE welcome back from your little break hope you enjoyed it even though its not you!!! I bet DGS missed you too and hope you have had lots of cuddles
NANAMIA how you getting on today? im not actually doing too bad, this afternoon i am definitely going to make Nigellas Peanut Butter chocs to go in freezer after house is sorted
NIC thankyou my lovely, im sorry you are feeling so stressed out, blooming bills getting in the way of christmas eh??? No seriously i know, it is always the same way, i stress myself out not being able to spend on xmas and get sorted but it all comes together in the end
