Well done Nana! That is fantastic, and you definitely deserved a stodgy treat
Well the boots guide has been glanced through, there was nothing I was really excited about in truth. In fact, there was hardly anything I wanted at 75% off, let alone full price. Am I being blind, or have they done away with all the Hello Kitty bits?
On the shop assistant front, I have to make the dreaded call today, to tell her that we wont be requiring her help on a daily basis, just perhaps on a one off (when DH is in hospital etc) I've managed to find a reliable family member
News from the hospital - they are still trying to find a suitbale time when both departments can see DH together[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

nana well done on your weight loss, slightly envious of all your hard work there. Hopefully I will lose some once these tablets are out of my system as they are notorious for weight gain.
As for DS is was the news we were sort of expecting and preparing for but didn't want to hear. They made casts of his legs and the splints will be ready in 4 to 5 weeks then he will be immobile for about another 4 weeks. It will then be reviewed after 6 months of splints but the consultant is certain it will not work so it will be back to an op and serial casting. DS has taken it in his stride (seriously the wrong phrase there) and when the consultant said he will get the new splints and immobile he asked do they provide a bell so he could ring when he wants something! Thankfully the doc understands DS's sense of humour.
So my early Christmas prep has been a godsend. Manged to order a cd for my mums birthday from sainsbobs and ordered the James Bond box set for DS not sure how much it is anywhere else but £50 for 22 movies should keep him occupied and paid for with nectar points so happy me.
Going to have a lazy week tidying up, baking and stashing all the wrapped presents in one place.
Oh I did order myself an embroidery machine for a ridiculous amount of money but I thought next years christmas is going to be 100% home made (apart from the obligatory iTunes voucher for DS). So I might as well get the machine earlier than I was planning.0 -

I think they have done away with the strictly come dancing makeup as well. which I loved. it isn't in the brochure anyway. maybe it is in the stores as well as the hello kitty.
good luck with the phone call.0 -

I bought the M&S giftcard from groupon and it's not worked yet! Argh the customers service dept are lovely tho! A bowling deal which was great and two canvases (not ordered yet so can't comment) xxx
Flowfy we all do it to ourselves. Hope your adapted lists are looking better. I was serious about the ironing thoBe kind to yourself today try and make a little time for you xxx
Feisty Hope the call went ok, think you've made the right decisionI would get back on to the hospital give them a reasonable time scale to get their act together then insist on separate appointments if necessary. Have you rang the consultants secretary? I always have found if you make friends with them the ball starts to roll much smoother! Sorry bossy Nana again xxx
Pinksteps your post brought a little tear to my eye this morning. Your DS is such a credit to you. You never kno he could prove the consultant wrong xxxThe secret of Christmas

I was also looking forward to flicking through the boots Xmas guide but was a bit underwhelmed too. Thought it might be better in store(we have a big boots so usually get a lot of good bits) but it was all a bit ... Meh0 -
