In the Nana news saga, I'm pleased to say I didn't have to chop off any toes. At this mornings weigh in I am officially 3 stone lighter than I was on 25th Feb 2013 woo hoo.
To celebrate I made mince pies (then ate three with cream for my BREAKFAST still warm from the oven haha. I also made potato and leek soup, healthy enough- to which I added cream and mopped up with several slices of tiger loaf covered in Lurpak. I now have retired to bed feeling like a slug. Back on it tomorrow. Hey ho here's to saying goodbye to the next stone. Thank you all for your kind words, have really helped keep me going xxx

:j:j congratulations:j you have done so well you really need to boss me next year please as i really need to sort my life out and my weight is the first thing that needs tackling. I dont know why you think you should be on the naughty step mince pies made already!!! I need to get mine done and frozen this week too i feel as if time is running away with me at the moment.
On the shop assistant front, I have to make the dreaded call today, to tell her that we wont be requiring her help on a daily basis, just perhaps on a one off (when DH is in hospital etc) I've managed to find a reliable family member :) News from the hospital - they are still trying to find a suitbale time when both departments can see DH together :(

FEISTY hope the phone call goes well today i think you are doing the right thing, good at last, now keep bugging them they will soon want you off their backs :)

FLOWFY please dont get upset, we put far too much pressure on ourselves for the perfect christmas, you have done an amazing amount so far on top of running DS around, like you say redo your lists and think is this going to ruin xmas if i dont get it done, the answer is almost always no!!!
PINKSTEPS your DS is fab, taking all this in his stride :) and he still has a sense of humour, i wish him all the luck in the world and hope against hope he can get back to his beloved dancing
MKGIRL oh i wanted to make that this year, i forgot all about it
PIXTOTTS ooh that book on the table looks so old, lucky you having it around to cook from, i dont think my nan ever had a cookbook i would love to have had something like that to keep forever, hope you made a wish while stirring the pudding mix :)

Hi I'm back from the 'Trossachs' and glad to be, I'm sure coach based holidays are great for a lot of people, but sitting on my jaksy for up tp 7 hours a day is so not my idea of a good time!
The hotel, though, was brand new and the bedrooms were huge and well appointed.
Nanamia, 3 stone blimey, that's wonderful, congratulations.
have caught up on all the posts, but feel a bit 'behind the fair' so will just send general hugs and major good vibes all round.
I have got back today to find my friends dad busy in my loft, sorting out the ladder, and putting a seal over the big holes in the old airing cupboard, and new shower mixer taps on the bath. He is a retired builder who likes to keep busy, so it seemed rude not to give him a list of things I'd like done!!!! I am sooooo lucky, all these lovely people in my life.
I must ring dd now and ask for DGS if she'll bring him, as I have very missed him.

freespirit66 - men can be absolute sh~~ts can't they. there probably isn't anyone on this board who hasn't experienced ex's turning nasty. I hope this chapter is over soon for you. be strong. he is probably happy and thinks he has upset you, which will delight him greatly. don't let him see it and think b@lls to him!!!:T

as for me, thank you. I think, as I have been ill, with little sleep, stuff got on top of me yesterday. although, still saying that, I have redone my lists. you are right, it was going to ruin Christmas and that isn't what I want. so out has gone a lot of the xmas baking and I will buy it in. I am still cooking stuff, but not baking. we always have loads left over anyway. plus ds has turned down a few jobs over Christmas, so that I will be in more. I think the thought of being out every night was overwhelming me. plus dd is having problems with her boyfriends mother which I have been dragged into by the mother.

what fun.:j

Freespirit, I just want to give you a great big hug xxx

Also, please tell me to !!!!!! off, but have you considered reading or listening to motivational speakers to try and help? I have heard good things about Paul Mckenna, and a little google revealed this;

http://vimeo.com/36462664

May be worth a try?

Well I made the call, she sounded quite upset, and I was telling a friend how bad I felt doing it as I couldn't stop thinking maybe she had ordered something believing she had extra Christmas money, but I've got to do what's best for us.

I really want to make my lovely orange zest mince pies, but just don't have the time :( I may make some up at the weekends when time isn't quite so crazy. My next day off is Christmas day :( I think it will have to be online shopping for us for pressies.

NEED to claw back some money so in desperation have listed our old diabetes stock pile on ebay.. DS has moved on to other things so these are no longer required and very expensive to buy .. it should be a couple of hundred pounds if it all sells so fingers crossed!

Moomins Christmas boots with Hello Kitty have been taken to have the raise attached :D She will love them!

Nana - well done on the weight loss. How you manage it when you can make cakes as lovely as yours I just don't know!

Sorry to hear about your problems with the ex Freespirit - you're obviously worth so much more than that and it's really rough that you're having to put up with it. I think you've been very positive over the past months coping with everything but we're all allowed to have vulnerable moments sometimes and this is just one of yours. Remind yourself how far you've come - chin up, chest out and be proud of yourself because you deserve it!

Feisty - do you have a website for the shop?

Bought a Christmas pudding jumper today in B&M so going to start wearing it straight away so I get two full months before I have to put it away. Also finished off some more pressies and some more wrapping today so not much further to go. I want to be completely done before DD1 has the baby (due end of this month) so I can focus on helping out and making the house super Christmassy.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

You are selling prescription items on eBay to make money? I hope eBay take it down, shocking.
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)
