Posting in bite sized portions just in case it goes again :)

Mrs Christmas thank you so much for the Argos tip, managed to sort DGD2 Christmas present £60 worth of duplo or £40 woo hoo, already got her a £10 (bargain) box so with her stocking she done :) Her birthday is Christmas week too, she's a didi car for that, can't wait to see her face. Last year or possible the year before on here I saw a box the OP had filled it with batteries and left a note to say "gift not included" just a thought xxx
Mrs M I look at your signature and think the same as your DH ha, just don't know how you find the time! You are one very talented lady :) Bless you DS, doesn't want to spoil it for his Mum, I've still not had that conversation and mine are 30 & 26. I do, I do, I do believe. How cute are those decorations and I have a tree just like that ha, I've bookmarked the blog to go back to so thank you xxx
Naughty Spot I love your name :) welcome to our wonderful thread X
Mrsinvisible avoidance tactics by any chance? I too was hit by the same this morning. DD had a child free morning (unexpectedly) so we went for a little adventure too xxx
Pigpen hope you are feeling better, or maybe you've already got somebody in mind to fill the Moses basket??? Did DH manage his Christmas shopping alone? X
Babyrut that looks a very simple way to do secret Santa thank you and welcome :)
Nic aww bless you, you do sound down. I'm hoping things start to turn around for you very soon xxx
Peppapig I have the exact same horror about bingo, I've never been to one of these big bingo places because of it. I did years ago win at PTA evening several times ha just like Freespirit beginners luck I think but I got so excited, thought I was going to burst haha, I am a total embarrassment :) Hope you were lucky xxx
Freespirit I'm Twinkle Candycane and I quite like it, sounds a little like a !!!!!! star name and I quite like that haha. I'm going to have to google Nigellas peanut butter choc now, sounds intriguing :) You need not worry about DSs graduation, you will be bursting with pride, no other emotion will get a look in :) if I can do it, you definitely can too :) Did you manage to get any extra seats? You are sounding so much brighter I'm glad to say xxx
Aliaslotte ooh my lovely, I'm so very pleased for you xxx
    Alja we've missed you xxx
Pinksteps that made me smile, I too saw a bell for DS today, although it said "Ring for beer!" But I thought of Master Pinksteps . Like Cup of Chai says it's funny when we are shopping thinking ooh so and so would like that isn't it xxx
Bargain Bunny you did do well today :) What sort of cake are you after? X
Pinknfluffy that sounds like a lovely evening, I've not been to pick up my "tarts" yet but will report back on my findings :) xxx
Crowdpleaser it's going to be so worth it :) stick with it X
Cbsexec what a very kind thought :)

Do you know every night I worry at the length of my post, still if you are having trouble sleeping it might help you nod off. By gum I can't half waffle!

I'm very pleased to report, I've lists of who, what, where and when now so it's all systems go go go :)
Also made arrangements with the psychiatric unit to drop the craft stuff off, I'm finally on a roll. Night night xxx

Another day, how can I shake this one up? I know, I'll go to DSs and wave my dusters at him! (he is hopeless, he asked for a vacuum cleaner for his birthday and now wants a steam cleaner for Christmas (off his sister and brother) but has no inclination on their use! Baby steps, baby steps.
Now, for my next jolly..... off to Harrogate and York next week with fave cous, which I am enjoying already.
Nanamia, I love the idea of a decal, but would be afraid of marking my (your) lovely new walls.
School run looms, so I'd best get going, xxxxxx

Mrs M when you've finished with the cleaning fairy could you please send her on to mine? I think she's forgotten where I live :) Hope the postie brings good news xxx
Mrsinvisible baby steps for DS, we can't all be tidy by nature! Wave your magic duster :) I did wonder about the decal but surely it wouldn't pull the plaster off? xxx

I'm back from holidays & back at work, am trying to not spend until I get paid in a couple of weeks but I managed to get some bodyshop stuff last night after getting an alert from hotuk on a glitch.

Ordered 2 £25 gift sets, 2 £5 gift cards & a free 50ml body butter all for £12.99. Tried again this morning but it looks like it has been fixed so am very happy to have caught it in time.

I might keep one gift set for myself as a treat but the rest can go as stocking fillers.

Apart from that am on strict no spending for the next 2 weeks (disclaimer: pending further glitches, lol)
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

  • Think I have lost a week! Where did it go, must be because I had a lovely but not very mse weekend away with a friend in Bristol, theatre, shopping and lots of food and cocktails and I was selfish I spent all the money on me:j

Aliaslotte well done on the job offer and getting through to next stage for the other job

Nanamia - I love your posts, sometimes I read yours to catch up over the pages so ramble away.

Freespirit -I cant get the link to your shop to work can you pm me please

Ummm my elf name is Buddy angel pants

Love reading everyones news and prep.

Just been told I have to use all my holiday before end of Dec and they have put my hrs up as my caseload is rapidly growing so it would appear I will be only working 2 days in December :)

Son number 1 finally settled into secondary school and is thriving on it and son number 2 has started to use dragon dictator on the ipad at school and had a comprehension test yesterday and it appears his comprehension is around a year ahead which is great, his reading since he has had his cerium lenses and daily toe by toe and real support from new school is now only a year behind where it was nearlyy 3 years behind, his writing is still 2 years behind but improving with the lenses and the 10min one to one handwriting support. The ipad is to allow him to keep up with his peers as he has all the knowledge its just his literacy and reading due to dyslexia and irlens.

Present wise son number 2 is basically done, my folks are done, oh done, son number 1 most of stocking done

Only have a few bits left to get really but need to stop looking on the web and in shops as keep seeing more things that I think will be good for people I have already brought for

  • Sorry, been MIA recently, been so busy not had time to think. Very excited at prospect of being home for the first evening this week, washing beckons! What exciting lives we live.

Went to see Grumpy Old Women last night, was wetting myself, not because of age I hasten to add! Thought of you lot as apparently when you hit 50 all of these strange things happen to you, you become a snob, you take up hobbies, worst one apparently being crafting:rotfl:. Now, I can't craft to save my life, so couldn't possibly comment! Felt sorry for the guys there, they were a tad outnumbered and my friend reckoned they were there under duress:eek:

Need to sort myself out at the weekend on where I am with things, wrapping etc. Although I did manage to get a Vtech camera for one of the littlies in Egypt. I bought a blue one a couple of years ago and was trying to find one in pink (blue is a boys colour according to her!) but refused to pay £50+ for one. Got one for £27 from Amazon which is a bargain, maybe someone here may be interested.

Hugs for those who need them, when I finally do a catchup, well done to those who have achieved in face of adversity and for the rest of us, well onwards and upwards:j
