Hi all was it on here I read a post for suggestions for presents for teachers? A set of fluffy socks, nail varnish and a little poem aswell?

No, but were you looking for the Mistle Toes topper ?

  • Just got the cinnamon & mint choc Pringles and I'm a bit underwhelmed. The cinnamon ones aren't as sweet & cinnamony as I thought they would be. The mint choc ones are ok, taste a bit like how mint choc hot chocolate powder smells
  • First of all: massive congrats to the Fluffy Household!! :T
Second of all my fluffy socks "drama" is over :D popped into Tesco and saw some nice denim blue & white 2 pairs for £3.50 which I'll separate and get 2 mistle toes presents out of. They also had some red ones but I didn't like those. Thought the white ones can go in the snowflake hamper.
No school for DD tomorrow (teachers training) so we're off to ikea! Really looking forward to it, so is she (more to the meatballs than shopping tho) ;)

Ruth_honey I think it was you who mentioned you're going to a Christmas market? I'd recommend Bath or Worcester Victorian market, they're both good, but they're even better if you get there in the evening when it's dark, the Christmas lights are on and the band is playing while you eat a German hot dog and have a glass of mulled wine :j To be honest, Birmingham market is probably the best I've been to, but it's always so crowded and cramped that I've given up going. Whichever you do, you'll love it I'm sure!

I was thinking maybe Bath or Birmingham. Worcester would be good too. I'll see what my mum fancies. It might be too close to Christmas for Birmingham as I'm not keen on crowds. You can't nosy at the stalls properly if it's too busy.
Can't beat mulled wine and twinkly Christmas lights. :T

Really must try these while they're on offer. Hope I like them more than you did. Actually, maybe it's better I don't like them. I'm a bit of a bugg€r with crisps. Try not to have them in the house too often because I will eat a pack a day!

Glad you sorted the socks. :) I need a trip to Ikea soon. Need to go with my friend who drives though. Riding there on my motorbike seriously restricts what I can buy!

  • Okay, I apologise in advance for the loooooong post, but I’ve a lot to catch up on!

Nanamia - The wallpaper looks fab! So bright & cheery! x

Giggle - Loving the santa pants selection pack! x

Missgigglewick - Check you out you little elf! Love the elf top, looks fab with those jeans too x Also, don’t forget to pop down your local and “borrow” a guiness beer mat for your hamper. Good excuse for a little tipple too!

    - Your Christmas lounge, and especially the tree, look absolutely beautiful! Looks like a page from one of our beloved xmas magazines! Cant wait to see how you top that this year lol x

Mrsmoneypenny - OMG the penguin bubble bar is amazing! I think I should get at least 3 baths out of it too!

Fiesty - Your luminary is beautiful! I personally don’t think £18.50 is too much, but people seem to want everything for nothing now days, and like everything, they don’t always appreciate the time and money that goes into such things. However, I am pretty sure the orders will come once they start looking around for similar pieces and see that your charge is very very reasonable! X
Just seen your update - GO YOU! Xx

OMO - thanks for Morris cones baileys update … dh is putting his coat on as I type (luckily its only a 5 mins from us!) x

Sequeena - Big hugs to you and Thomas xx

Fluffysox - :beer:CONGRATULATIONS!! And welcome to the world baby Jason xxx

MrsInvisible - Thinking of you today. Hope you enjoyed your walk, beautiful autumnal weather for it xx

    - Welcome to the mad house - I hope you are prepared to become addicted to the best, friendliest thread on mse!

I hope I havent missed anyone. I cant believe how quickly our thread is moving along now, it really must be getting closer to santa time!
In other news, off out for a meal with dh tonight, dd’s are with nana for a few days, and we are having some much needed “couple” time. I feel very spoilt, he brought me breakfast in bed and we have spent most of the day there, he even watched one of my recorded Christmas films with me .. Though he did nod off less than 30 mins in!
I am considering a studio order, I really want to treat us to some new lights and tableware, but can I justify the £42? I know I can spread the cost if need be, but I don’t like to pay interest lol! I am going to be sensible, and sleep on it!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

Thank you. I started early this year, but haven't done anything for ages, so it all feels a little overwhelming now...

I just want to get into the spirit! :)
