Rebelhedgehog that room is gorgeous, l wouldn't want to go out if l lived there!
Just been round to prep the bedroom for painting on Friday, all holes filled, all bumps sanded, masking tape and dust sheets in place, but can't do any more until filler is dry, so I have got some white curtains that just need ironed and will look right to complete it.

me the Stag print one, its various shades of red stags on cream with the shearling underside, couldnt not resist! came out £36 lighter! *gulp* they are on the website if you type in Stag fleece throw or Fairisle flece throw, it mentions shearling underside, they are just the softed cuddliest thing ever! Better get off to work now to pay for it with overtime!!! xxmichellenealemum wrote: »Lidl magazine stag welcome mat

There's so many things with stags on now. I'm spotting them everywhere!
I've forgotten who was looking for snuggly socks in red, but I saw a 2 pack today in Primark. Dark red with sparkles and black with sparkles. It was either £2 or £3.
The Coke 'holidays are coming' t shirts in there are £6, but they only had 10 or 14 in the branch I went to. Would love to get one for my best friend as the New Look ones are over budget. Will keep looking. They had such fab Christmas clothing in there. Just as well it's all too small for me at the moment because I would've spent a fortune. Took all my will power not to buy lots of socks and gloves (size doesn't matter with those! But I have plenty of Christmas socks already and the pudding mitten/gloves are already on my Christmas list)
Forgot which thread it was on, but wasn't someone after a green dress? I bought a long sleeve wrap one from Pink Clove and it's lovely. Soft comfy fabric (although not really thick) and a nice fit. It was £30 and a nice forest-y green shade. Have talked DH into buying it for me for Christmas. :TCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
I still havnt heard anything, thank you for asking Nanamia. X
I have spent a small fortune today. Went to Sansburys for the toy sale, got a good few bits for the kids. It was nice and calm by 12pm and they were stocking up the shelves while we were there.
I also got 4 rolls of lovely wrapping paper from Wilco's. They were 2 for £3 and are all 12m long. I usually get loads in Jan, but we were moving house the end of Jan this year so didnt want to take extra with me.
Also got DS a Skylanders starter pack for the Xbox.
Feels good being able to go and finally buy stuff x:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Freespirit I use the one in The Range. It comes in all colours and in Matt or Gloss.
I would suggest spraying it in matt first, then the final coat in gloss. Gloss is a lot less forgiven mistakes. So make it the colour you want with matt then you will only need one layer of gloss. Just remember to go slowly. One light layer then leave it. It is hard as you just want to get it finished, but if it's too thick it will run.
If you do get a run leave it, then lightly sand it down, before giving it another coat.0 -
nipped in B&M yesterday loads of christmas stuff
candy canes are 89p for 12
christmas doormats were under £5
some really nice stuff
bells that would make nice polar express "Believe" bells were £1.49 for 12 but you get 2 different coloured ones in each pack so 6 gold and 6 red other packs had silver purple and black and another colour in. they were with the tree deccys
hope all are well

Just adding my shopping list here so if you have any bright ideas to help with the gaps feel free to make a suggestion! (and so I can access it while out shopping and not lose my piece of paper like I usually do!!)
Mother (60).. so far I have got her a snail tape measure.
Stepdad (66).. he can't drink and is on reduced sweets due to heart attack last year..
Sister (26).. Jack Skellington hoodie/jacket.
DS2 (18 in Jan)... passport??.. for Id purposes.. that sounds like a good present!.. should arrive just in time for his burpday..
DS3 (15 in March)... sweets out of the question as he has diabetes.. he isn't interested in phones. and he has laptop and plays the same silly free online game all the time. I have not a single idea and neither does he! activity vouchers? I buy cinema/ bowling ones saves forking out when they want to go with mates very mse. accessories for the laptop ds has asked for a wireless mouse for gaming as its more acurate than the touchpad for designing stuff.
popped to sains 1st thing before school couldn't believe how quiet it was not a singe person in the toy section got what i wanted and out in under 10 minsventured to a bigger one around 10ish and it was mayhem people shoving and whinging about discounts not being as much as they wanted.
loving all the stag finds shame my purse doesn't share my enthusiasm. talking of stags anyone else seen the jumper in sains?its patterned with a brown stag in the middle not xmassy but still lovely might wait for another 25% off clothing offer
mrsgigglewick love the outfit you just need the matching slipper boots & hat then your good to go
got my own little xmas elf in training ds is currently sharing my love of all things xmas and asks every 5 mins to "put kiss tree up" as its sat at the end of the bed and running the batteries out of the pretty trees(mini fibre optic xmas trees)lolthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -

Thank you Ruth-Honey, it was me looking for fluffy socks, those do sounds like just the ones I'm after0 -
Oh my goodness, I leave this thread unattended for a few days and I'm pages behind!
In Kaya HQ we're trying to decide on a theme. We normally alternate between jewel colours and Nordic but this year my mum is thinking of a Highland theme. I might buy some tartan ribbon and tie it into little bows and then put them EVERYWHERE! We're also stag fanatics in this house (is that a prerequisite of posting in this thread?) so they'll feel very at home
Nice to see the Nigella love, and I think I'll be making her Christmas muffins a little nearer the time too! I really really need to go through the bag of presents I have so far so I can get a bit more organised (though I'm pretty sure I said the same thing in my last post!) I start my new job on Monday so won't have a lot of time after this as it'll all be a bit manic.
Don't know if anyone has mentioned it before but there is a Facebook page some of you might be interested in. It's called '10 ways to have money as a student, without working' and it has some amazing glitches, offers and discount codes. You don't have to be a student for the majority of them and I've saved a lot of money from their posts! The other day for instance, I bought two electric toothbrushes for £32 for both - should've been £49.99 each! Well worth a look if you're hunting for bargain presents0 -
oh they had packs of christmas socks in B&M as well not fluffy ones normal but with christmas things woven if you know what i mean sorry cant remember the price
went in lush, it was as always very tempting. loved flicking through the book but it was a bit too far on the pricey side. didnt get a penguin bathbomb as all the ones in our shop had lost their beaks and looked a bit misshapenSPC~12 ot 124
