I'm sure Harrods Christmas department opened about 6-7 weeks ago, so have fun! The Oxford St lights are up too-although not turned on yet.
Covent garden market is always nice to wander round. Some good bargains to be had too. Camden too might be a bit much to fit in all in one day. Depends how long Harrods takes, I guess...;)
    Have a great day!

I'm hoping to visit a Christmas market with mum in December. Any recommendations? She lives in Gloucester, so drivable from there. Could even make a weekend of it if there's an amazing one further afield.

Thank you! I'm so excited! My friend knows how much I love Christmas, but to be honest, she's a massive fan of it too which always helps! I'm sure we'll spend ages looking round :)
  • Nicki, here is a picture of our tree from last year to give you an idea. It's fatter than your tree but the same height. As my previous post, ours has 400 LEDs on it.

I shall try my best! I've never added photos on here and don't have a photo bucket account anymore. I saw that someone on here uses a fb "only me" album? I shall try that! :)

I was in London last year around christmas time for a work thing & while I was there went to harrods and the christmas display so cool.
It was Disney princess theme but in designer gowns like Snow White in oscar de la renta, Cinderella in Versace.
I'd never been before and I love walking around the whole store to look in all the windows :)

Sounds lovely! I can't wait to be shocked at the prices! haha :)

(sorry for all my posts, I don't know how to put all the quotes in one! oops!)
  • Lovely to see xmas tree pics already :rotfl:i could do with another set of lights on mine this year, i must write that down on my list

Do you know about this? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4798334
Order an item (cheapest £7) and get goody bag worth £19 with free delivery if you use the code mentioned.
I also found some of the Ever After High dolls for DD cheaper from Amazon. Couldn't find them cheaper than £35 last night.
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ever-After-High-Ashlynn-Huntsman/dp/B00DH7P6WU/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1382462109&sr=8-7&keywords=ever+after+high
I also got the fluffy cream bedsocks I mentioned before £2 for 3 as I'm stocking up for DD as I won't be able to find them after winter. I bought them in B&M but Poundstretcher had them in still. They are def 'snowflake' looking as I thought they actually looked like snow if laid out ruffled up.

Thankyou SPENDLESS for this just ordered on there, the goody bag looks great

So I know it's not Christmas related but as we're all doing a lot of baking at the moment who do we think is going to or who deserves to win the great British bake off tonight - I think ruby will win but if Frances pulls off style and substance I think she could take it

Im so glad that sulky pouting madam didnt win :) i dont think i need to mention her name, she has wound me up every week since the first episode, shes like a spoilt kid im surprised she didnt stamp her feet:)!!

Don't even think my tree lights run into treble figures so not the person to advise.

Browsing Tesco website earlier they saw they are adding new depts to their clubcard boost from next week. Really hoping toys is one of the depts. Anyone know? Do we have any 'insider' info? :D

Princess our band of merry men have been amazing, made such a difference, we are nearly there now. What beautiful words and sentiments for our Feisty . And Princess all posts are interesting :) that's what we do, chatter. I do envy your trip to Gordon's but I neeeed details please, what was it like, what did you have, table, decorations, service everything please????? How is your bathroom, are you done? xxx
Linky nooooo that was no help what so ever! Even when it's full of toys and the gorgeous Robbie it's still tidy - just with toys! Argh, don't know what I do wrong :( Love those BHS throws, thank you. I'm thinking obviously to my decorations in the living room and to be honest I'm going to stick with the white/glass/lime ones that I already have and add one or two shocking pink and lime (well I think I am haha) XXX
Pinklady go you :) you are doing so well X
Mrsinvisible oh I do love you. You are such a wonderful friend. What a lovely surprise :) You are one very special lady. How was your skyping? We had a FaceTime call today too. It's really a tricky situation if DGD2 is with me when the call comes, always feel so guilty. DGD1 has a mega case of the green eyed monster :( and yet DGD2 love to see her. I called DGD1 back and tried to explain that they were both "my best girls" etc but she's only three and it's not easy :( made me really sad. When they were both in the UK I used to say that's why Nanas have two knees and two arms for cuddles :) xxx
Chrissy you crazy lady, I don't think that's a festive movie! Woo hoo just seen your signature. Amazing, well done :) How is DD? Hope she's still enjoying her new placement xxx
Marco dog :) thank you for the kind words, that was really nice of you. I've only been loosing 1 or maybe 2lb per week but it's still shifting so I couldn't be happier with it :) Must be really exciting building your own house (it's what DS is saving for in Oz although its very common over there) It'll be like having our own version of Grand Design, are you project managing? I love the John Lewis deer, they've had it a few years now, an elderly friend/neighbour of ours bought it in the sale a couple of years ago and looks for them each sale time for me ha. Another personal shopper bless him xxx
Laurajo I think that's a good plan re the wrapping :) What a beautiful thought, starting over with new decorations for your first married Christmas together, I'm wishing you very, very, very many more happy Christmases together xxx
Kelly aww you poor thing, we've a local Surestart centre that DGD2 and I go to, within the same building what used to be the Day Nursery in the old days has also recently closed (cut backs) but has now reopened as a private facility, it's re employed some of the original staff but not all so I hope something similar happens for you. It'll be sad for everybody staff, parents and children so sending hugs. Good luck with the job hunt, hope you find something very soon xxx
Money maker I did wonder about using a template and it's good to hear from somebody that's actually done it so thanks for that, I may just do it xxx
Pinknfluffy How you feeling my lovely? There is such a lot of yuk about xxx
Bambi that sounds great, a proper big family get together. Wait till next year with your little one :) Oooh it's exciting xxx
Cupofchai that is good news :) Are you pleased with DH pressie? x
Freespirit look what you've managed to do, you've even got our Linky posting soppy best wishes :) haha. You know she's not easily moved! Let that be a warning to you! SHARE we are your friends, your virtual family and support. You've always been there when we needed it so please let us repay the favour. We love you xxx
Craftymummy sounds perfect, can we have photos? You kno how nosey I am (although not photos of another show home please - make a messy first- just for me-these pictures are making me feel a tad inadequate :) ) xxx
Feisty and Mr Feisty Really pleased that the relaunch weekend went so well :) I've everything crossed that the hospital will be able to give you some hope, and that you will still have some options. Even if they are slightly different (I am still doing the lottery) than they were previously. When my DH was poorly I clung to hope, it's all I had. Belated birthday wishes to DH hope he managed to enjoy his birthday, he was of course able to spend it with you. I do not want to nag but you know off by heart now the be kind to yourself speech- so make sure you are being (and to each other) xxx
Debndot aha are you the first to have a decoration out then with your tea light? I think you may be X
Msgigglewick it was worth the work tho wasn't it that little hoodie, it's super cute. Yay back to Christmas knitting :) You are looking fab on the photo, a real foxy lady. xxx
Crowdpleaser it's hard work trying to pin people down so they are in the same place at the same time isn't it. I've a wonderful sister in law and we only live 8 doors away from each other, we've been trying to go out for lunch and it's taken about 6 weeks to sort! That may well be down to me and my total disorganisation ! nightmare blooming estate agents, carry s on we'll set Mrsinvisible with her hobnailed boots onto them! It's going to be so worth it tho once you are finally in your new home :) Puddings, hey who are you calling a pudding? :) xxx
0462 we've missed you. Thank you for the link, you clever girl you, your makes are amazing. You've been quietly cracking on with your Christmas preparation too haven't you xxx
Mandco good to see you back :) you are on a roll and long may it continue xxx
Fluffysox your DS is super cute :) Thinking of you and remember the rules any signs of the new baba we need to know so we can send soothing vibes your way :) Think sort DS, hospital bag, let lovelies know and off you go xxx
Pinksteps how was your dr appointment, hope it went well. Oooh intriguing complete new life style changes. Please tell. I do hope they include putting DS, yourself and your dear Mum first and saying goodbye to negative people around you :) How is DS? Does he have his new cameo yet, photos makes please - you kno I need inspiration xxx
Cherry your advent calendar will be worth it when it's done and treasured for ever :) X
Spendless Nooooooo reindeer sandwich, I'm hoping Rudolph isn't online seeing that. Oh thought Muries DS was bad enough with his reindeer steak - shocking. What a beautiful thoughtful thing for DD to do you a stocking. You have obviously taught her well, you should be very proud :) xxx
Aliaslotte your pamper hamper sounds fab, you've done so well (photos?) such a lot of love and thought has gone into it your OH will be delighted :) X
Pigpen I really don't know how you do it, with so many little darlings to buy for, I manage to get my tinsel in a tangle with my little family, hold my hands up to you lady, you really are some girl xxx
Nic really glad you've had a big order, your makes are really something. Any news on the job hunt front? X
Giggle hiya, lovely to "see" you. I absolutely love the Santa leg bags. You are creative xxx
Lalagomay and Joee oh ignore them, we don't let Humbug folk in here :) Just people filled with Christmas spirit and those on here we manage to keep the spirit of Christmas alive throughout the year. Christmas loving people really are the nicest, kindest most thoughtful folk :) xxx
Peppapig thank you for the kind words :) Hope you've had lots of fun with DGD :) and you've a new little one to look forward too. My DGDs are both winter babies end Nov and end Dec so when their mummies we close to due dates we went together to the Christmas markets, I was secretly hoping that the excitement would start the Mummies off so the DGDs would always know they were Christmas lovers just like their Nan :) xxx
Joee thank you for the sign, I love it, it made me smile too x
Pitsypoolisa hi, welcome think you are going to like it here :) x

Well in the crazy Nana house things are finally coming together. Woo hoo, just a few odds and sods to do. Curtains, cushions, hold backs and a lamp to be bought- in progress :)

    Still to-do-list
Curtain poll to be put up, hold backs fitted, threshold plates fitted, little bit of caulking and tiny touch up paint. Then by George we've got it.

Managed to squeeze up sofa (by loosing a couple of unnecessary tables) and have room for a tiny space saving two seater dining table. Ordered although for some reason haven't received the immediate email it said I would so hope it's gone through ok (nail biting)

I will be back with further updates and final photos :)
Thanks for a the help you lovelies have been keep me sane (ish) throughout :) xxx
