Spendless - we bought our cats some reindeer cat food last Christmas but then I started feeling guilty about them eating 'rudolph' :o

Nanamia - That looks lovely. Love the colours :T

Regarding charity Christmas cards, I think that if you buy them directly from the charity (on their website etc) - they get all or most of the proceeds unlike if you purchase them from a department store etc.

I've just spent two hours clearing out, hoovering and cleaning a cupboard in my bedroom to fit all my Christmas stuff in. Can't believe the amount of stuff I have. Need a pizza now :D

best bet is to start with which sets you want then see which deals work out best value. boots 3 for 2 with the bonus points event its ok if you local stocks the products you want which mine doesnt
toysrus are also doing £15 gift card when you spends £100 but amazon have some reductions at the moment which may work out cheaper. also might be worth keeping an eye on sains as they usually run the 1/2 price toys sale end of 1/2 term/halloween week & amazon sometimes price matches.

B]nanamia[/B] love the wallpaper bet your glad its finally up and thing are coming together at last
aliaslotte the pamper hamper sounds great much more personal
    giggle love the bags

any suggestions on something barbie for a 3-4yr old? got a budget of upto £10 but that doesnt seem to get alot
also has anyone seen any cheap spongebob bits? usually find them in the likes of £land but no sign this yr

Thanks for that - I had forgotten about Amazon and found what I was looking for £10 cheaper on there :j

Barbie wise my local B&M have quite a few Barbie items and all are quite reasonable. Does it have to be a doll - maybe go for the horse or some clothes?

I think it was about 2 years ago Good Housekeeping did a check to see how much each charity got from their Xmas cards - it varied wildly!!! There may be something on their web archives.

  • How on earth anyone can justify £10 delivery is beyond me. I've paid around £6 for now which has been a next day courier, but £10 - I wouldn't buy out of principal!!!

I'm looking at buying Lego Friends for DD1 and looking to see where the best offers are. ToysRUs have a free gift and Boots have 3 for 2 plus an extra 1000 points next Wednesday for their Christmas event. Anyone else seen any offers anywhere?

I'm looking for Lego Friend too. I managed to bag some sets at really good prices on Amazon at the end of August. I'll let you know if I see any bargains :)

On a very unchristmassy note, it is DH birthday today. Has been a rather sombre affair, but we are watching a zombie film I bought him right now, it's called World War Z and I can highly recommend for any of those wanting a scary, but not supernatural Halloween film :)

Hello all, I've just caught up :) I hope you're all well and sorry I haven't had a chance to post much in recent days.

I have Friday booked off work, so I'm planning to use the day to grab a few more bits. Where I'm planning to go has all the good cheapy shops, so I'm hoping to find some bargains. Hopefully I'll have some good things to report! :)

Then next Monday I'm off to London with a friend (very excited!) we're going to harrods as I've never been - hoping to see their lovely Christmas section! Then we may go off to covent garden and I'm thinking maybe a little trip to Camden too if we can fit it all in. It's been a while since I've been to London now, I used to travel that way relatively often for work, so it'll be nice to go for a fun trip this time :)

Have a lovely week all! x
