Oh NANAMIA you definitely are my sister from another mister :) i cant believe you always notice when im not good, the pain isnt too bad at the moment, no migraines this week :T but BD is definitely resident its been a few weeks now getting worse and worse, i dont want to say anything and bring this lovely xmassy thread down, and some days im just keeping my hand in because i just cant think of what to say :( It really does make me smile and giggle this thread, it keeps me going, and to make it worse i have been on my own for last 4 days as DD1 in Croatia, and DS back in his beloved Salisbury so have had too much time to stress and worry about finances, xmas, ds etc etc
LMAO at the nigella pun :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OMO aah brings back memories of blocking cupboards etc Robbie looks so contented playing there, that acrylic stag is beautiful, and the throws are lovely

PINKNFLUFFY hope you feel better soon honey x

PRINCESSKITTY your posts are never boring my lovely

Hope everyone is well and had a great weekend

You must tell us if you are feeling down my lovely, we will only worry about you otherwise. You could never bring the thread down, as supporting each other through the good and the bad is what we do best!

This is the gingerbread recipe I use - tried and tested :D

Thank you all for your kind words. It really means so much to me all that people from all over the country are so kind, caring and considerate :) DH is in physical and emotional pain, I'm worried and scared about the future, so needless to say there are lots of squabbles. He should be going back up to the big hospital next week, so fingers crossed we will know more then.

The re-launch was a success! In fact, it pretty much paid for the rent for the whole week, so that is a bit of weight off my mind. Sadly every Saturday will not be like that, but at least we are through the first week :)

Omo I didn't get anything wrapped :( I shan't even bother adding a task to this weeks list, as I really doubt I will get it done.

Have loved reading everyone's Christmassy posts :)

I think you are making the same mistake we all make on here.

It's to early, the shops are still in Halloween mode. Give it a couple of weeks and I'm sure there will be lots about.

I know, I know ;) just wanna be organised and done....not good at being patient, lol.

Feisty - that's fab news, glad your relaunch went well. Fingers crossed the rest of the Saturdays will be good to (run up to Christmas etc) also fingers crossed for your DH to get some answers next week.
  • Evening all!

Sorry for being quiet this week, it's been a busy week but I survived my Saturday through til Friday! Including a days training in London and those 2 review days at the beginning of the week.
I was good you'll all be proud I went to London and only spent £1.20 on 2 bottles of water!
Harper had his dental check up after I finished Friday, and he managed to pull me over and I landed on my knee, so once again I have a scabbed knee at 23, but I've also been limping for my 2 days off.
Popped to the butchers yesterday in search of brisket but they didn't have any so got some rolled rib eye I think it is instead, he said we cook it the same way which is the main thing. :rotfl:
Also got some prices on a half a pig and half a lamb something we have been meaning to do for a while, and they were really reasonable in my opinion, £60 for half a lamb and £65 for half a pig, size depending of course.
I might (and by I, I mean the parents) might be going to collect a freezer tomorrow!!!!! :T:D:beer::j
Which means I can finally bust all the Christmas food out of the way!
Popped into B&M's today got some walnut whips for mum's december hamper, and going to get some coffee for it too, I bought her a coffee grinder last week or the week before but I think that will be a main present not a hamper one, need to pin down some more little bits for it. I think Mum's stocking this year might just be Lush! Probably will make it a retro one I think.
I need to do an approved food order to finish off most of the people at work, I am going to do each of them a little Christmas bag of sweets and then the odd extra gift for a select few. Will probably be things like nail varnishes as I can get them quite cheaply.
Would it be bad to make Dad's stocking just chocolate, beers, tea and tobacco? :rotfl:I am massive stuck and socks are a massive no go for him :D I like to buy socks and have been banned from doing so.

    Fiesty Big squishes
Nanamia how is the living room looking now after a day of helpers to nudge DH along?
OMO did Robbie leave a trail of destruction in his wake? Also hasn't he gotten so big!

Big hugs for everyone else I know there were more people's posts I wanted to comment on but I can't remember.

Also EASYIO yoghurt maker half price on lakeland some nice bargains to be had too

    Love and hugs xxx

    Rubbish weather today eh?

Well a day of cooking and ironing done. Kids did homework too so that's good. Am exhausted now.

Need to pop to argos tomorrow to get a nun outfit which Ill then splatter fake blood all over the wimple. Were going to a geocaching Halloween event on Saturday so want to make an effort.

Finally got my girlfriends to settle on a date for our Christmas do. We have decided on a pub called the Barge. Can't wait.

Had a horrible thought in that we normally put tree up 1st December. We think move date will be 30th November. My oh my decs will be very late this year! Better keep advent calendars in an accessible box I think!

Am finally sorting my present app in to some sort of order. DD2 is 6 just before xmas so I had lumped all pressies together to sort out when I decided what was for what so I started that whilst kids were in bath! LOL.

Fiesty Im so pleased launch went well. Good on you lovely!

Amey, that's really reasonable meat prices!

    xxx
