Princesskitty - Not watched tonights Emmerdale yet. I am just heading upstairs for a shower and then will catch up all taped soaps in bed. It's been hard tonight to make myself stay downstairs and do cleaning and boring stuff when I know the soaps are all so exciting this week xx
Make sure you have nothing else to do, have a shower, put something comfortable on, snuggle up in bed and enjoy!0 -

It goes without saying i'd enjoy pretty much any Christmas film but I want him to enjoy it too. Ones we've already got and seen are:
Elf
The Home Alone's
The Muppets Christmas Carol
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Jingle All The Way
The Polar Express
I've been considering Nativity, or Arthur Christmas? I've heard Arthur Christmas is funny? He would enjoy an animation if it was funny. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Arthur Christmas is funny, I thoroughly recommend it. Another you could consider is Scrooged. A modern take on A Christmas Carol but I find it quite amusingHobnobs are like marines0 -

I went shopping in Tesco last night and picked up some chocolate bits and pieces - lots of Cadburys snowman mousse chocolates and some Lindt snowflakes. I also picked up some choccies for Halloween. I'm going to make a themed dinner again for DH, last year we had witches hair and eyeballs (spaghetti and meatballs) and some orange pumpkin shaped jelly. Then I made him watch Hocus Pocus but he wasn't impressed, so today I ordered The Addams Family - i'm sure he'll like that! I know, I know it's only DH and I so i'm probably being a bit childish, but I do enjoy doing themed things.

We ate witches hair and eyeballs for tea tonight! Except I called it worms, blood and eyeballs. :rotfl: I love doing themed things too. When I worked at Lush we tried to do a theme day every month. I used to make a cd playlist to go with it.:)
I have a list of Halloween films to watch this month (but I'm a wimp and can't do anything too scary. Eg-The Shining is a NO, but The Craft or Ghostbusters is ok)
As for Christmas films, my hubby likes The Nightmare Before Christmas (which you already have), Bad Santa, Miracle on 34th street-either version, Bernard and the Genie (brilliant film, but think only available on eBay now) and Love Actually. Or maybe get a TV show with a Christmas special-I'm sure My Family has a Christmas special DVD set. Simpsons also do.
FeistyFidget-The Christmas music list contains all of my faves-except Buble (but I saw you're not keen on him). I love the Muppets Christmas Carol soundtrack, but it might not be for everyone, I guess.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Thank you for song suggestions - omo I can't believe I forgot those, they are two of my favourites!
I have just started bidding on home alone 2, may have to get the grinch and elf (still haven't seen that) I've noticed that these Christmas DVDs are getting more bids than usual on eBay, so we're not the only ones getting ready!
Well it was our first official trading day today and only made £6! Very worried now[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Amey, I've never tried bribing my mechanic with cake, perhaps I should
I have this half @rsed tradition of listening to Christmas music whilst putting up decorations and each year I say I will make a youtube playlist, and each year I forget and have to put up with adverts interrupting on the music channels - or songs I have never even heard of! So can we do a list of popular Christmas music, kind of like the food shopping list? That way I can compile a youtube playlist and bore poor DH senseless when it comes to the decorations!
