Hello, sorry I've been MIA. I've had a bad couple of weeks, my laptop doesn't work and I can't post from my phone so only can come on when a second to spare at work (one of the problems!) Just wanted to say hello to you all and I've not forgotten you! xx

thank you all so much for your congratulations, good news is so much better with friends to share it. Feisty that cabinet looks gorgeous, you clever clever thing. The shop is bound to succeed with amazing items like that! Ameyturtle , good luck with the review, they can be unnerving, however well you are prepared. OMO love the cushions, you have great interior design skills, do you fancy a week in the lake district, coordinating my mishmash of mismatch? on second thoughts it would take you a month! Nanamia, hope you aren't putting too much pressure on yourself again, and that the living room is near finished.
I have decided to forgive myself over the advent box fiasco. I will just make hang on the wall advent calendars with pockets from Christmas fabric. Not original, but still made with love and filled thoughtfully. I know the people they are for will appreciate them and that's half the battle won. School run, back soon, have a super day xxxxx

Nana, have I missed pictures of the lounge? Sorry you're feeling a bit low :(

Amey, I've never tried bribing my mechanic with cake, perhaps I should ;)

I have this half @rsed tradition of listening to Christmas music whilst putting up decorations and each year I say I will make a youtube playlist, and each year I forget and have to put up with adverts interrupting on the music channels - or songs I have never even heard of! So can we do a list of popular Christmas music, kind of like the food shopping list? That way I can compile a youtube playlist and bore poor DH senseless when it comes to the decorations!

    Christmas Music

Fairytale of New York, The Pogues
All I Want For Christmas Is You, Mariah Carey
Do They Know It's Christmas? Band Aid 1984 (has to be the original)
Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Jackson 5
Do You Hear What I Hear? Bing Crosby
Happy Christmas (War Is Over), John & Yoko
    Wonderful Christmastime, Paul McCartney
I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, Wizzard
    Merry Xmas Everybody, Slade 1973
    Merry Christmas Everyone, Shakin' Stevens
    Sleigh Ride, Leroy Anderson
    Stay Another Day, East 17
Driving Home For Christmas, Chris Rea
Rockin Around The Christmas Tree, Brenda Lee
    Step Into Christmas, Elton John
I'm Gonna Be Warm This Winter
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home), Darlene Love
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, Vaughn Monroe / Dean Martin / Smokey Robinson & The Miracles 1945 / 1959 / 1963 Sammy Cahn, Jule Styne
Stop The Calvary, Jona Lewie, 1980, Jona Lewie
Frosty The Snowman, Gene Autry & The Cass Country Boys
    White Christmas, Bing Crosby,
I Believe In Father Christmas, Greg Lake
    Christmas Lights, Coldplay, 2010
Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire), The Nat King Cole Trio
    Thank God It's Christmas, Queen
It's The Most Wonderful Time of Year, Andy Williams
    Santa Baby, Eartha Kitt,
    Christmas Wrapping, The Waitresses,
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
Please Come Home For Christmas, Charles Brown,
Spaceman Came Travelling, Chris de Burgh, 1976, Chris de Burgh
    Lonely This Christmas, MUD,
    Mistletoe And Wine, Cliff Richard
Christmas Time - Don't Let The Bells End, The Darkness
Mary's Boy Child - Oh My Lord, Boney
Power Of Love, Frankie Goes to Hollywood
    Blue Christmas, Elvis Presley,
When A Child Is Born (Soleado) Johnny Mathis
Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, Gene Autry
    Winter Wonderland, Perry Como,
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, Jimmy Boyd,
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, Perry Como & The Fontana Sisters
The Little Drummer Boy, David Bowie and Bing Cosby
    Proper Crimbo, Avid Merrion

O Holy Night- Celine Dion ( this is the only song I like her singing !)
    Deck The Halls- Bing Crosby
    Christmas Wrapping - The Waitresses
The Power of Love - Frankie Goes to Hollywood

I know it's controversial, but I am not a fan of Michael Buble (Mr Christmas himself) Please add your own in bold at the bottom to help me have enough music to not get bored of in December :)

Hey, sorry to only just be back and asking a question already! Has anyone seen any cheap candy canes in stock yet? I usually get them from B&M but my store only has red and white ones and I'm ideally looking for the green red and white ones? I usually only pay under £1 a box too! Many thanks xx
