    Fantastic news Mrs Invisible:j:j:beer::beer::j:j

    Had a nice afternoon at local shops today. Some bargains in The Works. DS was asleep in buggy (normally have to avoid such tempting shops lol) Got 3 paperbacks for £5 including two Nora Roberts Christmas ones. 3 codeword puzzle books for my lovely mum- £1.99 each. Also a small wooden box with 4 x 12 piece Thomas Tank jigsaws made out of wood- only £2.99. DS loves a box of ELC Happyland jigsaws he has (2 to 4 pieces each) They are cardboard and getting well loved to put it kindly. 12 piece is a good step up (most sets are too hard/ 20+ pieces) and wood should withstand toddler fingers better. Have researched a bit on Amazon etc so this was best find of the day :)

    Spent voucher from my birthday last November in Next on a nice multiframe to put above our fireplace. And collected their Christmas gift guide too.

    Also went into Beaverbrooks as they clean engagement rings bought with them for free. Had mine a year and not gotten chance to utilise this before. Anyway I said I'd get a drink while I waited (shop next to foodcourt) and they made me a cup of tea- wasn't expecting this :) Text Mum to tell her what I was up to and she said "What will you do if your waters break in the shop?" to which I replied "Well I'd ask for a diamond necklace to ease the pain ;)" Bless her she's certain I'm about to give birth any minute cos she's got a back ache lol.

    Evening everyone, it's been lovely reading your plans.

    I don't make any homemade presents, but would love to if it meant me saving money. I've never really properly "made" something for anyone. Maybe one year! :)

    Well, the Christmas present buying for friends situation has now changed. I spoke to a couple of my friends the other evening and found out who they are buying for and who they're not. So now my "to buy for" list is shorter, which is lovely.

    However, I felt my friends were planning to make a little more effort this year than maybe I possibly was (e.g. buying something for friends and also their other half), so now I'm completely overhauling my ideas.

    I don't want to spend the earth on the presents, so I'm thinking of doing little foodie hampers for each friend that they and their other half/baby can enjoy too where applicable.

    Maybe a bottle of something easy to drink and affordable like bucks fizz? A bar of winter wonderland chocolate...some hot chocolate sachets, maybe some nice biccies/chocolates etc?

    I shall have to get planning, without a plan I feel hampers can easily end up more expensive than planned! :) <--- haha! Reading this back sounds funny! I believe the word of the evening from me and possibly my task for the week is to "plan" this!
