Productive morning. Went to Ald! and did the normal shop. They have Schloer in there for 1.09 a bottle I think it was so I got 2 for chrimbo day. Then to Tesco for the bits I cant get in the cheap shop! LOL.
Listed buggy on ebay last night and lady paypaled and came and collected this morning. Very pleased and am watching a couple of wii's to buy for the kids for Christmas. Any wii people, is the balance board mainly for the keep fit stuff? If so, I wont bother with that. Im more interested in lots with plenty of games and all the controllers!
Dds decluttered to school and DH decluttered to work, poor him, he did a 16 hour day yesterday and hes off for another today
Hugs to all! x0 -
Ruth_honeyOh wow! You have a lot of music
I bet your awesome to have for the music section in a pub quiz :P .My laptops just been for repair and had a new hard drive I'm weirdly a little excited about getting all my cd's back out and putting them all back on it.
I will definitely let you know when I find the dress
I've just had my first mince pie of the year (one of Hestons pine ones yummyyy), while starting mums present list with her.
It's not looking too shabby we have a few major troublesome people, they've been ill so the gifts we always get them we now can't so tricky...

omo I make most of my Xmas presents and I don't actually know if its cheaper or not but I like doing it. I've to say I mainly do food gifts: jams, chutneys, fruit gins, limoncello, flavoured salts, flavoured sugars, Xmas cupcake, cinnamon nuts etc. I collect jars all year round, pick fruits with DD from the PYO farms and get them from friends. I don't bother to do this for everyone as no everyone appreciates it. I tend to do homemade foodie gifts for older people and couples. Kids I still buy for as they're hard work and I'm not that crafty, lol. Suppose you could do personalised buntings, serviette decoupage pictures or cross stitched pictures, depending on the recipient. Last year with my friend we also made lots of soaps, hand creams, bath bombs & lipbalms - they went down really well too. As we shared the costs, it wasn't too bad and we had a great time making them all. It's def easier to go to a shop and pick stuff off their shelves but I for one, really appreciate any homemade gifts. It just shows that that person really thought of you and what you like. HTH making your mind up0

Crowdpleaser - wii balance board is used for some games too, like the game version of Avatar uses the balance board for parts (think you can play most of the game without but certain sections you just don't get to play - flying on birds bits...). Also although called Wii fit (+ plus) do have exercise sections but have other bits which are really fun... we always get them out when family friends are over, challenge each other on the obstacle course, skateboarding, and what not *cough*especially after a few drinks *cough*
But having said that plenty of games don't use them so maybe you could wait on that and see how it goes maybe it could be a pressie for next year... We had our wii 2 or 3 years before we got a balance board and didn't miss it at all.

Oh Im not going to bother with a board for now then. DD1 plays on the dance games at the childminders in the school hols so I know she will like them. Maybe buy a board later down the line when we see how much they really use it. As an aside, our new house has got a HUGE lounge perfect for wii gaming! Our current house has a tiny lounge not at all useful for it! LOL

Thanks for all the advice. I have been thinking about it all day and have decided just to buy my presents. I only have 3 adults to buy for, and 2 of those are only token gifts. Then there is my 2, Robbie, dds best friend, 2 teenage nieces, one young niece and and a young nephew.
I have cut down who I buy for, so it won't be too bad next year.
Congratulations mrsinvisable0
