They are awesome!
We have had our woodburner 7 years now I think... we were the last to join the group though grandparents and aunts and uncles have always had them though (gran and aunt and uncle even have 2!) you will turn your lounge into a sauna very easily, we have a large lounge and often find we have to have the windows open because it gets over 25 degrees in here! But it is awesome. Hardly any upkeep needed and they keep the room for so much longer than an open fire (and no sparks
!). Bit of a nack to lighting them but once you get the hang of it... sorted!
We also have oil and an AGA.... hate the AGA it burns my cakes and you cant make meringue...
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -

I have phoned the council and told them I have had enough. I have listed all the complaints that have been made against them by myself and others in the street. I also told them they are claiming benefit fraudulently. He shouldn't be there. He moved out with the youngest boy when he was told he needed to look for work. They are both claiming as single parents.
It would also appear they have not asked for permission to build this thing, so if nothing else they will have to take it down. My hope is that they are just told to move out.
When my house was built (5 years ago) there was a lovely lady living there. But sadly she went into a diabetic coma 3 years ago and had to go into a home. She was very lucky that it was snowing and I popped in to see if she needed anything from the shop. If I had not gone in she wouldn't have made a recovery.
So I am now not in the mood to go into the loft to look for the bears. It will have to wait for another day.
OMG they are a nightmare, hope the council does something, well done you on finding your neighbour in time, god that could have been so much worsealiaslotte wrote: »I tracked down some perfect rubber ducks!
They come as a four pack, all little Vikings. Given his love of the Vikings they are absolutely perfect. Plus, there being four will mean I can dot them around the hamper for him to find when I start putting it together.
I've also got him a bath pillow from Body Shop. Seems to be a really good price after looking around for ages, given the current 35% off code [and free delivery].

Evening, off to read back a bit. I had a Nescaf! gingerbread latte today, it was ouch, I just sat sniffing it for ages with my eyes closed, it smelled like Christmas.
I have done all my chrismas shopping in my head. I just need money now to go and buy it all. X:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Hello!
I've had some very good news today - I have been given a new job which I'm really excited about, and I'll be earning a bit more money too which will start coming through just in time for the remainder of my Christmas shopping! However, I need a little advice from you lovely wise ladies - my current job is in an office where there are just four of us including my boss, though I am actually a freelance worker. I have been told time and time again that my role is essential and they don't know what they'd do if I leave... and now that's exactly what I'll be doing! I don't want to leave them in the lurch so I want to suggest continuing working on a freelance basis part-time until they can replace me, but I know that whatever I say my boss will hit the roof. While he likes the work I do, we have never really clicked personalitywise and I have a feeling he'll get very angry with me. I hate conflict, so I'm not quite sure how to break the news, and it's taking the edge off my excitement a bit as right now I'm filled with dread at the prospect of that conversation! Any advice would be gratefully appreciated
On a more festive note, I'm off into town tomorrow! I asked my brother what he'd like for Christmas from me today and he suggested a model brain. He's a Psychology student, but really?! A model brain?! Don't suppose any of you have seen one of those in the shops have you? :P0
