Currently assembling a manflu hamper, got parecetamol, throat lozenges, lemsip, hot chocolate, bought a soup mug in £1land, so now have to get some cuppa soup, dvd and a fleecy blanket, hopefully will get the whole lot under £10.
You are [STRIKE]loads more sympathetic[/STRIKE] a better nurse than me. If I was to do one for DH I'd have to include cards that read 'It's a cold, get over it' 'Now trying adding looking after children into the mix! and 'How come you don't make this fuss and refuse to make a Drs appt when there's something seriously wrong with you?' :D

Are you including a bell so the recipient can ring it, to have someone run round after them? :p;)

Hello lovelies - I'm not even going to attempt to read back through the last 30 pages - you have been busy!

Hugs to those that need them, yay for those with good news and a big hello to anyone with news I have missed!

I've had a mixed week - have basically paid £5000 for a shop that has now sold most of it's stock :( They did tell me that it was busy in October, and wanted me to take over sooner, but couldn't get the money together, so feel a bit upset that I'm basically £2000 down on stock :( Have stolen most wooden items from home to paint as have run out of money for new stock and DH is too poorly to move at a reasonable pace, so am trying to juggle the furniture painting, nursing agency, paper business and getting everything ready for take over on Monday.

The panic attacks got very severe (I now know they are panic attacks from stress) but I gave myself a stern talking to and have managed to pull myself together :) Christmas is currently on hold, but did manage to get some choccies to put away with this weeks food shop :)

feisty, great to see you back, euch to the panic attacks, but good on you recognising them for what they are! I had them for a while during the menopause, and they weren't pleasant, but my lovely mum taught me to enjoy them----yup, she said 'they are only panic attacks, they cant hurt you, they just want you to notice them, measure them on a scale of one to ten, compare them and carry on with what you are doing. They are there to remind you to consider yourself first.' Maybe not her exact words, but what she meant was they drew your attention to yourself and that is no bad thing.
OMO your neighbours are dross, and the sooner the authorities act the better. It must be hell for you and l feel useless as my dross shooter licence has expired. Hope you find the polar bears.
Spendless please resist the Mr Ms sweetie offer, l found it very expensive as l wrote before, lol.
The prototype advent box is a failure, so l will have to make a different type, possibly just Christmas material on a board hmmm. cross cos l hate time wasted, but at least l know when to stop trying.
Half past 9 on a Saturday morning and l haven't even brushed my hair, what a slattern. Might see if DD and friend fancy a trip to the range this afternoon, (not that their Christmas range is calling to me, you understand.)
Have a lovely weekend my friends, hugs to all. xx

Thank goodness I had finished my coffee or it would have been all over the lappie! Don't worry, there will be some sort of ode which will amount to saying it is only a cold! So definitely not including a bell:D

Was in Richmond Park just after 7 this morning, armed with camera as it is the mating season. Deer obviously knew I was there 'cos I couldn't see many, could hear lots and lots of antler clashing, some beautiful old stags and some young. My boss does fairly competitive cycling and trains there a couple of times a week and had to phone me the other day to say that he had seen something he had never seen or heard of. As the deer roam freely there is obviously a speed limit, so people are used to seeing the deer attack one another at this time of year, but he had never seen a stag felt threatened by a car, until he saw one that evening attack a car - can you imagine the insurance claim

All I will say is that the chihuahua and the slipper had me crying with laughter and DS telling me to "grow up"

:rotfl:*prods her* who wants to grow up?!!!! I find the humour in it so hilarious but our DS ends up giggling like a munchkin and that makes us laugh more! What is that bit when GrandSanta gets the old reindeer out and is calling them by name? something funny happens in that bit that sets him off as well! :D

You know what makes me giggle like that? that silly Mars advert with the monks and the bell tower? I dont know why but it just tickles me and makes me giggle uncontrollably, they all look at me like Ive lost my marbles.

To be fair they probably have a point

  • Kaya well done on the new job honey! I totally agree on the *** sandwich approach! hope it goes well xx

Feisty that sucks about the stock hun! I hope the panic attacks get better, the advice from mrsInvisible is spot on! xx

Getting ready for work so will catch up late tonight, Twitter just sidetracked me when I saw Lewis Hamilton has hashtagged #GoInHardOrGoHome .... erm ... Lewis?! *is shocked but also smirking somewhat*
