Good morning everyone, starting the day with a positive, smiling and happy vibes are coming in to me from all over, I think!
Today I will be busy playing woodchopper, as DGS and his dad chopped down a huge conifer that had grown wild in the middle of the back garden for over 30years. It housed lots of nesting and baby birds but was looking really tatty so it had to go. Today (and for the foreseeable future) I will be chopping it up into small pieces and bagging it for the 'trip to the tip' what fun.
Also need some bits of food shopping so may double it up into a coffee with dd too. We can brew up a plan to tackle DS2s tidy up and chuck it out manoeuvre. Now pick up the kitchen chair, whip and liontamers hat and wake DGS for school ..............I may be some time, lol xxxx0 -
Morning ladies,
I managed to get almost all of last weeks tasks done the only one that didn't get done was the radfleck behind the radiators cos every time we layed it out to cut it the bloody dog came and sat on it! in the end he seemed to think it was a huge game .lol
All my wrapping is up to date and Ive a bulk load of cards to send today to cover family birthdays between now and the end of Jan as well as the Christmas cards for everyone.
The house paperwork is now in the hands of the solicitor. As this has been a very strained year financially we are planning to have a couple of trips before Christmas hopefully to York and Cadbury world.
We have had a letter from the residential college after the Director of care services conducted an investigation into the complaints we made he has accepted all the points we complained about and apologized, im quite surprised as we were expecting a white wash. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Thank you for all the kind messages everyone. I really appreciate it. I remembered how wonderfully festive and friendly the thread was for last year, so couldn't resist coming back.
As for gifts, I always get my Grandma a large jar Yankee Candle [she doesn't use smellies etc that she is given, and she is on a permanent diet, but the candles get used so it seems like the best option]. Last year, I managed to get a lovely one for £12.99, so I am keeping my eyes peeled for similar priced options this year.
As for the others - parents and brother - I've not decided what to get them yet. The boys in particular are troublesome to buy for lol. They tend to enjoy something edible from Whittard's as part of their present, so I will also be watching out for offers/glitches there to maximise what I can buy.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Monday morning thus far.0 -

Chrissy that is good news about the letter from the residential unit. Unfortunately it's too late to help DD this year but lets hope it prevents it happening to anyone next year. I'm glad you are planning treats now the house sale is going through
You definitely deserve some

Mrs M I'm sure you DD will be delighted with her hoodie, once you've got over the shock. Did you sell your beautiful makes this weekend then? xxxThe secret of Christmas

the craft fayre isnt till 30th november so ive got time to get more made. thank you for asking.
i didnt really mind paying that for the hoodie, she definately worth it. She actually wanted it as her christmas pres but i said it made more sense to have it for her november birthday so she can wear in in the cold weather before christmas. Added to the fact DS2 is getting her a ticket to go to scouts rugby day and see the london irish match the saturday after her birthday so she can wear it for that.
shes always working so is an avid fan but only watches them on tv, this will be the first time she will have been to a real match. DS2 isnt fussed about rugby but as soon as scout leader mentioned the tickets he asked if he could go and take his big sis as a birthday treat, so they get to see the match and spend time together.
i hope everyones plans are going wellSPC~12 ot 124
