In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Hope everyone is OK and enjoying the sun! I haven't been on to post (just lurked a little) over the last few days-haven't had much Christmassy to say. I HAVE completed my task for last week tho:D,
OMO- this week I shall
1, make 3 more cards for close family
2,buy 2 things for Christmas cupboard
3,Remember to give my Christmas cakes a little tipple-they probably don't need it from the smell of them but I do like them to be 100%proof!:rotfl:
( This week brought a box of biscuits and 72 Fairy dishwasher tablets - a mahoosive pack! £7.99 from Home Bargains!)
Expensive week this week- my friends Son is 18 on Thursday so £20 in a card for him and BIL is 50 on Saturday so that's big pressie for him. We had a pen rest made for him with an antique crystal ink well as he is heavily into ink pens (strange for a left handed person) and it really is a thing of beauty- I hope he loves it cus I do! Especially cus my DH came up with the idea originally! And he is DEFINATELY not the creative ideas sort so that makes it extra special in my eyes!
I had my hospital appt come through for 17th to have a hearing aid fitted and its really got to me I have to admit. I've had tinnitus for about 10 years now and its got to the stage that its reduced my hearing to less than 40% in my right ear. I'm ashamed to say I don't want it cus I am vain and don't want to have one just for cosmetic reasons (how shallow do I sound/feel?)- wont be able to wear my hair up etc, wear pretty earrings. I know I know- trivial and shallow but for some reason every time I think about it I feel like crying. Vain plonker that I am! AND I always think of hearing aids for OLD people and I'm only 48!!! More shame on me for being 'ageist'! Plus I wont be able to get away with 'I never heard you say that!' when the kids/DH complain!
Anyway- miserable 'old'git moaning over with now! Hopefully this week will be extra Christmassy for everyone! ( I want the weather to turn cold now- my new boots have come:rotfl:)
Take care xxxxlovin' this site!

Oh MURIE my lovely dont be ashamed of how you feel, if that is how you feel you have every right to, none of us like to think we are getting old, and when something like this happens its quite scary because we then have to face it we arent in our 20s/30s anymore, are they not made these days to blend in more? It doesnt make you any less of a person wearing a hearing aid and i for one wouldnt think any different of someone if i noticed they had one, and i completely understand you still want to wear nice earrings and have your hair up, on the plus side to be able to turn it off when the kids or DH is getting on your nerves well what are you waiting for??? :rotfl:Started my shopping, earliest yet for me
