Nanamia I think that's where I'm going wrong with the Christmas
Shopping I like the gifts so much I have to treat myself!!
Quick post before my bath and then read back to catch up,
maybe Ameyturtle or Ruth honey can help, I'm very much a girlie
girl and I know my family will be asking for suggestions for pressies
for me. I love my baths however since I'm now on a mega amount
of meds I have found using things in the bath brings out a rash
on my skin, this can differ always a rash sometimes itchy abit like
prickly heat and this is from baby products to high end products.
Any advice is much appreciated I feel like I'm missing out on my pampers
many thanks Boo x
I would say butterball is a good one to try. If you've got a store you can pop into, ask for a sample of Dream Cream too. It's very soothing on the skin, so might help with rashes. Ameyturtle will have more up to date info on newer products, though.
It could be that the meds are making your skin more sensitive to the warm water in a bath. Hope you can find a solution and can enjoy your baths again.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

NANAMIA aah thankyou my lovely, i really think it is going now, stomach feels much better tonight, how was football? omg i have waited so long for this stag and now i think it is jinxed, DD2 thinks it was broke in the post not me, i glued it, put it next to frame on wall just to see what it would look like and just now i heard a crash and frame has fell over and knocked one of my buddhas off and smashed a corner off that, kids came home with a beautiful black frame and said they think it will look better so no need to spray i just need to find hammer and nail to fix it all up tomorrow
OMO thankyou for the link for bhs, how is your lovely little tornado doing? i think my stag is jinxed or maybe i shouldnt have named it after my dead grandad, perhaps he is making his presence felt :rotfl:#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
Oh, it was a great suggestion, Freespirit.
I'm not too confident at baking, so it was a good thing for me to start with. I do want to try the muffins also. I bought the mincemeat thinking I would do some mince pies this year (ready made pastry!) and possible a strudel if it didn't sound too hard, but the flapjack was something very different. I might even try adding some dried cranberries next batch.
Right, I should get some sleep. Been a long day. Even the cat is fast asleep at my feet. Cat flap training is clearly very tiring! Night all...zzzzCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Choccymoose that's perfect, take your grandaughter, it's never too early
How lucky to be a Nan at 38, you are going to be a glamorous Nan xxx
Spendless I went to our local market a few weeks ago after watching the mini series about Swansea market traders. I was blooming shocked at their prices, seems they can't compete with the supermarkets. Well I presume that's why my fruit and veg was so much dearer! I got 5 bananas for 98p as apposed to 7 bananas for 68p Aldi. X
Ruth _honey I couldn't stand the heat either well not in January when it was their summer. And DH couldn't bear the cold in July. Chalk and cheesexx
Freespirit aww bless you and DC, I'm sure the stag isn't jinxed maybe you've got a "grumpy old man!" Haha, sure he'll be happy when he's settledIm so glad you are feeling better, bout blooming time! The football was brilliant thanks, you may have heard we've two big ish teams here in Manchester ha but we are Stockport County supporters (real football) anyway they've had a really bad few years so we are well used to big losses and failure. Still love it of course. Today though oh my word, a win, a huge win 4-0. A very very rare occurrence
Great to watch xxx

Christmas task check in.
I did do
cook 4 things for freezer
plant Christmas hyacinths
plant Christmas hanging baskets
go to lush
I will have to check my lists to see what else, but I definitely didn't do
wrap presents.
on the subject of lush, I got 2 snow fairy massage bars (NEW) amongst other stuff. it is small but fabulous, smells like the shower gel and gives a lovely fine glitter.joy.
I did the first day of the cd yesterday. absolutely worn out as I was trying to occupy myself from 9-4. I went to bury, a retail park outside Bolton and Botany Bay in Chorley. not impressed with most of that but was impressed with the 2 large pumpkin spice lattes I had from starbucks during the day.:T
got another day of it today. don't know where I am going to go as there is less choice on a sunday. I was that exhausted yesterday when I got in, I didn't know whether I was on this earth or fullers.
he is doing stuff for both days next weekend. a last night of the proms on Saturday and a jazz festival on the sunday. if fact Monday is our only free day this week, due to rehearsals etc. he got asked to dep in the following Saturday (19th) but he is already out all sunday in Cheshire doing it, so I said no. I can't do full weekends, week after week. he is fine, mind you. came in and played xbox all night with his matesanyway dh is back next weekend at least so that is some help with the driving and also company, because it doesn't half get lonely wandering about, trying to fill in your time. he made some excellent musical contacts this weekend however, so it has been worth it.
on my list this week are
cook 2 things for freezer
harvest crab apples from tree
up to yet that's all I can think off, but I will have a think today. I have bought tons of craft stuff and put some in the car yesterday, but was so tired, I didn't bother with it. it didn't help that I had a chronic headache.
anyway have a nice day. xx
er...sorry if I sound miserable.0 -
Morning all. Thanks for the welcome. It appears my 'thanks' button has disappeared!

Ah you are very sweet. Thanks, I loved my home made favours but worried people might think they looked amateur/ made by a ten year old rather than charming and rustic lol. Still I loved crafts as a child and hadn't done much as an adult. I enjoyed being creative and making them all unique2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Tasks this week is to finish last weeks tasks
Tomorrow DS is having his legs cast so he can have the splints made and whilst out I am going to pop round to the craft bank which is close to the hospital and rejoin.
I have middle DS popping round later so I may tug on his heart strings and see if he is willing to paint the bathroom.0 -
