Picnmix I just caught up and saw your post, am so sorry you are having a tough time at work and your DD too :( as someone who ended up in tears in the loo at work too this week, you have all my sympathy and lots of hugs - I dont know what the issue is that you've been having but I really hope it gets sorted out quickly, Ive decided to go in with a positive 'today is another day' attitude today - Im going to be smiley happy and positive, give customers a brilliant service and let anyone who has an issue or negativity get on with it by themselves; its occured to me in the last few days that the colleague Ive had some issues with is very negative - everything she says is slagging off somebody or something; nobody can do the job as well as her (shes been there longest and I do respect that and her experience, but keep saying it wont win her any prizes! ) so Im going to be the opposite of her - dont have to try too hard as I am positive and happy and I dont slate anyone else to colleagues EVER, though I may let hubby know about it! I really hope your work week picks up, am here for you if you need a chat, lotsa love xxxxx

Thank you for your kind words, and to everyone else for the virtual hugs etc.

Feeling a bit brighter today (although not at work so that could have something to do with it;)) The problem at work is with team leaders - NHS! We work so hard and then they come along and stick their big ideas in and overcomplicate things, which then makes more work for us on ground level which is almost impossible to do. I am an optimistic, positive person so it really shocked me as well that I ended up so upset, I think I was more angry than anything. I would never dream of upsetting someone, they seem to get some sort of kick out of it. So sorry you have had your problems at work, I agree so next week we shall hold our head high and smile, smile, smile and remember if you ever end up in the loo upset again, I'm probably in a loo somewhere crying and swearing as well!!

DD came home fine yesterday, previously mentioned girl had got in trouble with teacher regarding her bossiness, so at least they are aware of the problem.

Love the hallway idea, showed DH but he didn't think the practicalities of getting head caught up in fairy lights everytime he came home was so great, I did gingerly suggest he could use the back door, I'm short enough to not to have to worry :D

Welcome back Wee Chick, we are thinking of a holiday to Egypt next year, have already been to Cairo and seen pyramids and museum, so glad to hear you had such an amazing time.

OMO - love the simplicity of your wreath and now really want a stags head somewhere!

Nanamia - Wow I really wish I could great such wonderful cakes, I'm ok with cupcakes, but my decorating leaves a lot to be desired.

Hugs to all and take care x

Hi just wondered if I buy my soaps and bars/bombes now will they keep til Christmas as I don't want to leave it and they sell out?
I always buy one for us all for Christmas Eve and a coupke of soaps as they make the bathroom smell so lovely!

You should be ok but there us a chance your bombs won't fizz so well I reckon you should be okay if you leave it til December to order from online or even your local shop :)
Online might be better as if you phone you can ask them to wrap them and they package them in cellulose x

Snugglebunny – sounds like you had a productive shopping trip. Disney store is a must for me and my bestie as we usually have an evening shopping with no kids at the Trafford centre. You are not backstabbing, you are trying to get the situation sorted before it becomes any bigger than it is. You cannot go through that every day and she needs to know that it is not acceptable behaviour.
OMO- the cup wreath is lovely how did you do that? I know what you mean about setting unachievable targets and am going to make sure that I set myself small goals. If I achieve them that’s great, if I achieve more that’s a bonus The cup wreath looks fab over your clock x
Rebel Hedgehog- I am thinking exactly the same about decorating the kitchen as we all seem to end up in there most of the time. I cant wait! Im even decorating the bathroom. Have got a toilet lid sticker like a present, foing to put window stickers on my shower cubicle too
Look at this for your fridge - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=721338871215366&set=a.512221712127084.142462.498771476805441&type=1&theater

Lalagomay- I agree entirely about blaming nigella for Christmas lights
MKGirl1981- Thanks for the preimarni pictures. I am loving the Christmas towels. Will look fab in my Christmas decorated bathroom
Freespirit- I hope your IBS settles soon. My husband has Ulcerative Colitis and when he has a flare up it is very upsetting and it gets him down.
    Sirens- hi and welcome xx
Pinknfluffy28 – that must have been a tough decision to have to carry out but you have to do what is best for your family. I personally think you have made the right decision and hopefully in time they will see that money does not compare to a relationship.
Ameyturtle- Hi your vast knowledge of Lush products is amazing. We have a new store in Bury and I did have a walk in there yesterday. It smelt divine!
Picknmix- So sorry to hear about you and your daughters situations. I hope they both get resolved quickly x big hugs xx

I managed to complete my daughters gifts this week. All I have left to do is buy her pjs for the christmas eve hamper. I can now concentrate on my son, who is turning 11 soon and is proving difficult to but for.
I am going to start a new tradition of a new christmas tree ornament for the kids every year. The only thing is I paint christmas decorations in various designs in MDF?Wood so do i make them or buy them?
My dd would love a disney tree ornament but my son is older so would be harder to buy for.
going to organise my christmas elf calender to see what else i need to buy. Also would like to do a christmas events/days out calender too. We always end up so busy rushing around doing last minute rubbish that we forget to enjoy the simple stuff so im determined to be more organised.
I have had a bit of good news- i do my own craft makes and have had a query for a big wedding for me to provide the favours. Also my hubby works for the fire service and they want me to do a christmas stall event for a day as they all loved my things last year. Also my sister in law works for a bank cal centre and they want me to go in for the day too. Need to get organised!
Big warm chrismas welcome to all newbies. big christmas twinkle light hugs for all regulars xx keep christmas planning ! xx

04624181 it's really easy. You just glue the cups together at an angle.

Here is the Pinterest post I copied. It shows a close up. I used glue on the top righty and bottom left of each cup. The ones I used where 99p for 40 in QD. They have lines going round them, so I didn't have to measure the gaps.

Eta the frame looks really big in the picture, and make the stag look small. They are actually more in proportion.

I wasn't quite sure when I first put him there, but I have attached the frame to the wall, so he is more upright and I've moved some other ornaments around. The big plant that was next to him is now at the other end of the sideboard, and Esther is in front of the lamp next to him instead of in front of him.
He now looks like I wanted him to. While I had the spray paint out I sprayed the clock white.
The wreath has been moved and will go over the French doors.

I must admit I am slightly worried about the decs this year. I was thinking I wouldn't have enough, but I forgot I also had a Welsh dresser in here. The book case had 4 shelves and the dresser had 3. I actually have less tops to fill than I used to. So no more dec shopping for me. I am still getting The Old Man, but he is not a Christmas dec.

We have had DVDs on here all day. Watched Arthur Christmas ( dd thought it was boring) then The Blind Side ( dd cried through most of it)

Have just had a shower and am having my last cup of coffee in peace before the tornado ( Robbie) gets here.:rotfl:

    Love the name Claude :rotfl:
