  • Picnmix I just caught up and saw your post, am so sorry you are having a tough time at work and your DD too :( as someone who ended up in tears in the loo at work too this week, you have all my sympathy and lots of hugs - I dont know what the issue is that you've been having but I really hope it gets sorted out quickly, Ive decided to go in with a positive 'today is another day' attitude today - Im going to be smiley happy and positive, give customers a brilliant service and let anyone who has an issue or negativity get on with it by themselves; its occured to me in the last few days that the colleague Ive had some issues with is very negative - everything she says is slagging off somebody or something; nobody can do the job as well as her (shes been there longest and I do respect that and her experience, but keep saying it wont win her any prizes! ) so Im going to be the opposite of her - dont have to try too hard as I am positive and happy and I dont slate anyone else to colleagues EVER, though I may let hubby know about it! I really hope your work week picks up, am here for you if you need a chat, lotsa love xxxxx
  • Ameyturtle Ive ordered the Christmas Eve, some Snow Fairy, the Snowmen melts and some Snow Cake online as they didnt have Christmas Eve in store and I really wanted to try it!

My whole house currently smells of Yankee Vanilla Cupcake ... except for our bedroom which smells like a Lush shop, even though they are individually wrapped in the carrier bag LOL!

Ok so all my QVC stuff is here and the Snowman replacement on its way (great CS from QVC) my Yankees are on their way and Lush is bought and ordered ...I reeeeeeally have to stop now, no more stuff for me! I did get my tax all back in yesterdays salary from previous 2 months though plus my overtime so have treated myself, ahem! some of the Lush is for gifts but am not sure how I will ever part with it!! I blame you Ameyturtle for making it sound so lovely and being so right! :rotf:
  • Morning all, sorry i havent had time to catch up, read back, but I hope everyone is well and ready to enjoy the weekend. Been a tough few days here, with dh & stepdaughters situation, he has made a really tough decision not to contact them, obviously we hope with all our hearts they will contact him (for something other than money!) but he isnt holding out much hope. He has decided that he will no longer give them extra money when they ask (he pays £86 a week maintenance so its not like he is being tight!) and has also decided they will now just have a few token gifts for bdays and xmas. This has been a long time coming, and whilst we know all teenagers can be selfish and materialistic, we also know hand on heart that they are taking the p*ss. Just wanted to update on the situation and thank everyone for their advice and kind words.

Looking forward to our butlins trip next week more than ever now!
Back soon to catch up - promise xx
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • pateroo totally not pregnant would explain everything though if I were but I'm not I promise.
nanamiaI love the chocolate cake you did you must share the recipe it looks yummy!
linky I love the wreath from cups it's brilliant!
freespirit hugs there was something I was going to add but can't remember so hugs instead
weeclick I think a little lush hamper would be good shout if you need help with that

Some asked about a lush product for a little one with sensitive skin but I can't find the post to quote it, but from Christmas I'd try something like snowman, or gold fun would be awesome too fun is designed with kids in mind and gold is lovely smells like butterscotch Angel delight, or even snowflake.

Nearly at the end of my crazy week got a 7-2 today and a 10-5 tomorrow and then Monday off, mum is at the hospital that day.
Got to pop to the pet shop and pick up a rawhide bone for Harper.

Love and hugs to all xxx:D

I think I may have to go back to the original idea of having the wreath over the French doors.
Ds keeps looking at it and saying ' No, that's not right. ' :(
(Am going to leave it there for a day to see if he gets used to it)

The frame has been sprayed and is drying in the garden. It's just the long waiting game now.

Freespirit I also have IBS and you have my sympathy. It is such a misunderstood condition. So many people I know just don't get how it can affect you. xx

SNUGGLEBUNNY my exMIL was like that never a kind word said about anyone, always slagging people off and causing trouble and upset, even her own family and grandchildren, no one was immune to it, she used to thrive on it, whereas i cant stand upset or trouble or people feeling horrid it makes me feel ill

I would totally go with Christmas eve bubble bar it's one of my absolute favourites, or even a luxury lush pud it's the fragrance of twilight but with no glitter. But I have a hunch you are bubble fans so Christmas eve. ;)

Hi just wondered if I buy my soaps and bars/bombes now will they keep til Christmas as I don't want to leave it and they sell out?
I always buy one for us all for Christmas Eve and a coupke of soaps as they make the bathroom smell so lovely!
