pinknfluffy - I have been through this with dh's children. they only came when they were given something and although they got on with my dd, they were awful to ds, even though they were brother and sister to him. I know they were jealous because he was the baby and quite a bit younger.
anyway, when they were 17 and 16, respectively they stopped coming completely and stopped even replying to texts etc, then there was a row, which broke dh's heart, and his heart is still broken. but now they all don't speak. and these children are now in their mid twenties.
the best advice is, whatever is going to happen is going to happen, but I could see if I ever got involved, there would be recriminations and so I didn't. even if I really had to bite my tongue and cry in another room. the thing is, he had split from their mother 2 years before he met me, so we weren't to blame
so unfortunately, my role was to take the upset for years, see him being used and then pick up all the pieces, which I still have to do.
I hope it plays out better for you than for us. xx
It has been gradually getting worse over the 9 years we have been together, he too had been split from their mum for 2 yrs before we met, but that didnt stop her playing out the psycho-b*tch-from-hell part at every given opportunity. I think it hurts more now that the girls are older, and dont even attempt to disguise their materialistic attitude towards their own father!! I try not to get involved, and to support silently, but I did put my point across last night which probably didnt help, but bless poor dh just said "your right" and being his wife, I am NEVER right!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FREESPIRIT!!!

Afternoon, oh NANAMIA you really have brought tears to my eyes that is the loveliest thing to do, i cant believe you remem bered me saying about that cake being my name :rotfl:see this is why everyone loves you on here, you remember everything! Well been to drs she thinks my arm is tennis elbow :rotfl:that is why it is so painful, she has given me stronger painkillers for that and my trapped nerve and said if it doesnt work then she will give me some anti imflammatories, the rest of the joints she thinks is where i am not walking as much because of nerve pain they are just stiffening up, i have to go back in a month. I thought i would have a nice soak when i got back, went to get in and water almost cold, so boiled two kettles and got in still not very warm, turned on jacuzzi jets omg they stunk where it hasnt been used for a while, so gave up so much for a lovely soak! Added bleach to the bath and let the jets run for 10 mins.

not had chance to read back yet but i shall. I've got a horrid chest infection and every time i try and do a bit of housework it sets the coughing off the kids have run riot and it looks like i haven't touched the house for months
ho hum.
Anyway regards those bundles tescos were doing. i got the squinkies one but one of the products was wrong, so i just emailed tescos asking if it was meant to be the camper van and not the princess carriage as thats what my little girl would love and they resent the whole bundle so i now have two sets. :S lol think the zhu zhu set was meant to have 1 puppy, a push along vehicle and a fountain play set.Totally debt free wohooo 2014

Get well soon!
I'm in a bit of a huff. I travel by train fairly regularly and collect reward points with the train company when I book my tickets online. I have enough points saved now that I can swap them for a free First Class ticket, and I wanted to do that for my ticket for when I go home for Christmas. Only now they've got a notice up that you can't swap points for any tickets that are to travel between certain dates over the Christmas and New Year period, and it falls when I'll be travelling. Drattit! If I could take a couple of extra days off I'd be outside of that time and could get a ticket, but I've got no holiday time left to book so I can't. Have to get one another time, but it'd have been great to do it for Christmas, bah.0 -
