Was the incident reported to the police? I thought there was a zero tolerance policy on situations like that?

I spoke to the police on the phone at the time of the incident and gave them the address of the owner of the JR to follow up but she didn't mention them being in contact when I saw her today.

Nanamia - Sorry to hear about your DSIL, hoping Wednesday goes well. :)

Emmalou88 - hope you feel better soon. Toothache is awful I feel for you.

Island_mum - How awful. Some people are so stupid! Something similar happened to my mum when she was walking my DS home from school. An old man crashed into a lamp post right in front of them. We all thanked our lucky stars that DS hadn't ran off ahead like he sometimes does!

    Afternoon all,

I have managed to get a card reader so I can now upload photos, so will get a few shots of my crochet to encourage all those of you thinking of taking it up!
I've been experimenting with the flowers, it's very therapeutic. Just what I need to distract me from doing my work...hang on that's bad isn't it!

Oh, and a Happy New Year to you all...

Whenever I think of crocheting azjh a smile comes to my face. My nan tried and tried to teach me without success. I could never get it to lay flat it always had a peak in the middle. In the end I just resigned myself to the fact that I couldn't do it. Didn't have much success with knitting either. :o I have taken to cross stitch though :). I cant be good at everything I suppose :D.

Looking forward to seeing your pics.

Poor little doggy :(Can't believe they are potentially putting their kids at risk too.

azjh77 please do :)I have been looking at that lovely attic blog http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/ and am wondering whether I could try something very easy.

On a different note does anyone have any recommendations for a lovely diary?

My organised mum one of last year got on my nerves with the ringbinding bending, cath kidstons large one has poor reviews this year after being well reviewed for 2011 and the lovely looking paperblanks ones have very scant info online about them sizewise etc...

I would like a hardback not ringbound diary, week per page if anyone has any lovely links for a stationery fix for me x

Right, how does this work? I feel I should point out, while I have got the hang of crochet, I suck at photography!

I can't cut and paste it, and insert image asks for a website. So just how do I get my own piccies on here?

    We'll see if this works...

Oh Hanley, that is really worrying :( Perhaps it may be worth an anonymous tip off to the police re children being exposed to a dangerous dog could be in order?

Azjh you really are inspiring! Well you have inspired me to at least complete my knitting so I can move onto the crocheting ;)

    Jem, I was lucky enough to be treated to this a few years ago;

And it is now a Christmas tradition that my MIL (who bought the original) buys me a new insert each year. I cannot recommend them highly enough! It's durable, the layout is perfect and it's also gorgeous ;)

    Hello oldies and newbies :)

    remember me???? ;)

Franklin is now 19 days old and we are just about getting into some sort of normality.

I was very poorly for 2 weeks and then Franklin had allergic reactions (his Daddy is allergic to everything!) so then he was poorly and now we are both on the med finally :)

For the list - My Birthday is 11th Feb :)

Thank you for starting up a new thread and with a whole year to be a part of it I think it will be fabulous :)

We really cut back Christmas 2012 as we had no choice and I began to feel like I hadn't gotten enough and started to spend money we didn't have on little extras but come Christmas day we hardly had time to open the presents anyway and neither of us much fancied the junk food.

This year we have decided to focus on quality not quantity. We have already set our budget and our monthly amount for all presents, cards, food etc is £30 (£360 total) it's a bit more than last year but we have an extra person to buy for ;) also we have decided we are definitely going out for Christmas lunch so that also accounts for that.

We have plans to use our shop and scan vouchers towards Birthdays and hope those will solely cover Birthdays except for me, hubby & Franklin for the 3 of us we have a monthly budget set.

I have so many aims and goals for 2013 and finally after a few years of "bad luck" we have so much to look forward to :)

Wishing all of you a happy and healthy 2013 x

    Happy New Year everybody!

Is it really only one week since Xmas?! I'm totally mixed up on the days. At work this morning I would have sworn blind it was a Saturday.

No New Years babies until almost 8am at work. They had a peaceful night ( NEVER use the 'Q' word).

Oh chirpychick Franklin is just gorgeous. I've been waiting for a photo and you've not disappointed. Glad you are both starting to feel a tad stronger. Happy New Year to you. X

    Happy Birthday ArchieBear
  • azjh77 loved the pictures of your crocheting the flowers look good. you are doing well, Im doing a bright stripy blanket for my dd will show pictures when I work out how to do it.

Hanley25 thank you for the update on the JR must have been upsetting for the owner i wouldn't trust those dogs with children.

Island_ mum . thank goodness none of you were hurt, I do hope she gets what she deserves. hope you are getting over the shock.

chirpychick congratulations . I'm quite new so haven't met you before.

fiestyfidget . let me know how you get on with the fitbit am thinking of getting one

we have put all the decorations away so the house is looking back to normal again, lovely. has been a very quiet lazy day
You can if you think you can .
  • Good to know you are returning to what might be defined as normal Chirpychick.
Not much to report here today, lots of cleaning and such. Managed to get my tax return done so thats one less pressure for the month ahead. But I have my uni assessment and two other things that might come in all to be done in a month. One comes with a possible prize of £6000. Really need to get my head around that.
I've put a list of things I want to keep an eye out for for next year. We are limiting the kids to 20 things each so this way I will be far more organised. Also added to that list places we want to take them. We shall see how that works out. :D
