Oh my god Island_mum cannot believe the stupidity of some people. Thank god you are all OK xx
Nanamia so sorry to hear your dsil is not doing as well as hoped. Hopefully there will be some better news before you go to Oz xx
Well off for dinner at mil today. Too drink or not to drink after not feeling well the other day? Play it by ear I think.
Don't really have any NYR. Apart from making sure I do my physio twice a day everyday(even when I'm working) the only thing I can think of is to moisturise more, after turning 30 last year it may be too late to start but hell I'll give it a go(shallow I know)
I really would like to get back into studying so I could get a career rather than a job but I'm still in the same position as at 18 were I don't know what I would like to do
Have a lovely day everyone and may speak to you later if not will be tomorrow xx13 projects in 2013 0/130 -

happy new year to everyone!!
moneysavingmumofone we have just had to sit through 6 half hour episodes of Tom Baker Dr Who. we then watched Graeme Norton and i spent the whoe time thinking "we really shouldn't be watching this with the boys"
we really know how to live - OH just said is it really worth opening the bottle of cava after he made me a cup of tea:rotfl:
ds1 wants to have a go at the spanish tradition of eating a grape on every chime
we watched Graham Norton with our two, was so hilarious with Billy Crystal, John Bishop and Hugh Jackman, we were howling! but believe me - it was better than the hair raising A1an C@rr which was truly awful (in my pov) other than the wonderful Bruno Mars! thankfully we stuck with Graham Norton and only switched for the music! funnily enough my oh decided he didnt fancy a drink too so we didnt open our bubbly either!
never been big on NYE either, it's the end of Chrismtas for me, but the kids want to stay up for it these days so I do join in more now0 -

Great, thanks, will register now while I am waiting for my delivery0 -
Island Mum how awful! glad you are all ok, I agree with the law being changed to not drinking at all if you drive, I know there is the thing about traces in stuff like chocolates, trifle, medication or whatever though so see other pov's but does make your blood run cold, she was clearly way over the limit, I hope she gets the book thrown at her, more impotantly that shes banned!
Emalou am so sorry you are suffering, hope you get it sorted quickly xx
Nanamia am so sorry to hear your DSIL isnt making the progress you hoped, sending you all best wishes and hoping you get better news today xx0 -

Family came over last night and keeping with tradition lots of noise was made at midnight to scare the evil spirits away.. oh and im making sure NOTHING is leaving the house today lol i need a year of good luck before i totally burst of depression.
It appears dd2 now has the lurgy just as dd4 and dd3 are finally getting over it.. touch wood i still haven't got it! dh back at work tomorrow, suppose i'll have to kick some butt to get homework done. sigh.
Regards the drunk driver i hope they throw the book at her.. how selfish are peopleTotally debt free wohooo 2014

Having a wonderfully lazy day with DH - can't remember the last time we managed this! Have even had a root round the freezer and cupboards and made a list of things to be made into meals - hopefully this will secure a cheap food shopMore pennies for Christmas!

Update for you all on the little JR. The owner knocked on every door in my street today to find me and thank me for my help. The poor thing has had to have his leg and shoulder removed, he also needed stitches on his head and has had his teeth wired but he is recovering well and the owner was allowed to visit him today. The lady who was bitten is doing ok too. On a worse note the owner of the nasty dogs has said that his kids are coming to visit this weekend and he's going to see how the dogs are with them before he makes a decision on having them put down!
Anyway Happy New Year, just wanted to update you all as I know many of you have been asking. Off to catch up now.Savings Account - £0.00

Afternoon all,
I have managed to get a card reader so I can now upload photos, so will get a few shots of my crochet to encourage all those of you thinking of taking it up!
I've been experimenting with the flowers, it's very therapeutic. Just what I need to distract me from doing my work...hang on that's bad isn't it!
Oh, and a Happy New Year to you all...

Was the incident reported to the police? I thought there was a zero tolerance policy on situations like that?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
