Hi Chirpychick - baby Franklin is totally gorgeous, glad you are both on the mend...
Hanley - thanks for the doggy update - what a sad, sad thing to happen, it just makes me shudder... how lovely of the JR owner to track you down and thank you, thank Goodness there was someone lovely like you to be there for her at the time xxxx
NanaMia - sending you a cyber hug, it must be a very worrying time with your dSIL not making the expected recovery, do try and stay positive and hear what the Dr has to say. I do hope you can get some pleasure in looking forwards to your trip xxx
Happy New Year to everyone :beer:0 -

Thank you for all your comments. I've thought about it a lot today but we're safe (as are two two lads who were actually walking past at the time) so I'm just grateful for that. She will get prosecuted, it's an automatic 3 years off the roads for drink driving here (for first offence)
Chirpychick belated congratulations on the birth of Franklin - what a beautiful name! Glad to hear you're feeling a little more normal now too.
So I've bought my SIL's birthday pressies in the sales and have made a year budget for our household by which to save as much as possible. Now to keep DH on board - he's not a great fan of meal planning as he never seems to fancy what I've planned lol
Think I need to start DD stocking soon so it's ready for next year cause I cannot sew! I'd like to make one from netting similar to one I had as a child. Any ideas for ease?:heart2:DD born 11/04/12 :heart2:

Hi Chirpychick Franklin looks lovely, glad to hear you are all doing OK
Hanley aww that poor dog. But I agree how nice of that owner to go to that effort to thank you.
Well we are home and stuffed full. Just watched UP, nice film. Loved the talking dogs, I'd definitely have one if they could make those translators :rotfl:13 projects in 2013 0/130 -

The easy way to deal with this is to give them no choice! IMO I've done the shopping, the cooking and the washing up etc the least that my OH can do is eat what he's given! I do occasionally ask whether there is anything that he wants for dinner this week but his usual answer is 'I don't know' so it's not like he never gets any say
Haven't got my decs down yet, will probably do it gradually over the course of this week as I also want to pop into the Range to get some storage boxes for it since it all lives in carrier bags that are slowly coming apart. Have also started my lists on ideas for pressies for this year now so that if I see things on offer I can buy them but I find getting inspiration is actually the hardest part of the shopping. My sis might be moving house also this year so there might be some opportunities for presents there depending on what happens.
Anyways back to work tomorrow (been off since 21st Dec) so will have to work on these early bed times again and remember to set the alarm!0 -

Not much to report here today, lots of cleaning and such. Managed to get my tax return done so thats one less pressure for the month ahead. But I have my uni assessment and two other things that might come in all to be done in a month. One comes with a possible prize of £6000. Really need to get my head around that.
I've put a list of things I want to keep an eye out for for next year. We are limiting the kids to 20 things each so this way I will be far more organised. Also added to that list places we want to take them. We shall see how that works out.
hope you dont mind me asking, but are you a writer? im guessing that you are due to your signature and the possible prize!
have you had anything published? (if your do write of course!)
i ask as im a writer too and really hope to finish my 'novel' this year!

Have just been trying to bargain hunt on ebay for Christmas crafts - nothing seems to be in the sale
Was tempted to buy the gingerbread house chocolate mold, but loathe to pay £5.00 for something that will probably end up costing me lots more in import duties[/COLOR]2024 Challenges
