I take it you open the packets to find out what you get - but what do you do with the figures afterwards - re-wrap them or just play with them
Was also told today that the Boots 3 for 2 starts on Wednesday and is on for 1 week xx
The idea of "feeling" is that you feel the shapes in the packet, for example - for the elf you can feel the 2x2 block, the teddy bear and the pointy hat! There was a lin k posted to a site that told you what to "feel" for (but I cant for the life of me find it now!). I spent far too long in tesc@ having a feel of dozens of bags! My dd(5) loves everything lego anyway, so we do occassionaly buy these figure packs as a reward/treat for her, none of our figures are kept as collectables (except my ickle elf which now lives permenatly on the lounge shelf)
BBthree - welcome back! Sorry to hear you have had a rough time, but being back amongst all your fellow xmas elves will hopefully help!
Hanley - I did a gardening hamper for youngest dd, it had in it:
paint a gnome
paint a plant pot
solar powered fluttering butterfly
pink metal plant tub
pink gardening gloves
fork & trowel
kneeling mat
gardening book (amazon)
bug catcher & garden creepy crawlies book
wind sock
wind chime
a couple of packs of seeds
a large bag of worm sweets!
Most of it came from b&m or £land, and she absoloutly loved it! I spent under £20 in total, and I am going to do same again for my twin nephews bdays next year!
OMO - Bless your ds! He truly does sound like an amazing, caring person x
My target for this week:
Make a start on the wrapping! (just as soon as my studio order arrives!)It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Hi all, sorry I have been AWOL but the black dog is firmly in residence and I'm struggling with everything at the moment.
Best friend messaged me Friday to tell be that she has been plucking up the courage to tell me that she is pregnant - over the moon for her, but it brings our issues to the front of my mind. Then I had another message today from a close friend telling me the same. DH is telling me we don't need children as we have the dogs - I just want to cry and now we have business related dramas to contend with too.
An employee has left me in the lurch and I've had to cancel her placement with a practice tomorrow at short notice, understandably the practice is furious and at best we have lost them as a contract and at worst our reputation will also be tarnished so we may lose a few others.
Also we are going to be about 2k short for the business (money will not clear for a month after sale day) so it looks like I will have to get a loan.
Sorry to bring the christmas vibe down, but you are always so supportive x[/COLOR]2024 Challenges
Live in the moment more and appreciate the small things0 -
fiesty hugs its totally understandable that hearing that kind of news is soo hard even when your really are happy for them and x2 is even harder add in the business stress no wonder its hit you hard. hopefully the company will understand once they've had time to realise that sometimes things & people are out side your control you can only do so much and it won't affect your business in the long term.
hanley glad to hear you were all ok scary stuff but congrats on the lego finds
snugglebunny good luck for tommorrow hope you get the extra hours
omo you've been busy isn't it great when you discover hidden/forgotten goodies. congrats to ds on his win and how sweet of him to treat you out of it.
oh littlewoods have the xmas shop up and running along with xmas countdown http://www.littlewoods.com/christmas/en/christmas.pagethis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
thank you mandco!
Feisty loads of hugs to you, am so sorry to hear that! hope you are ok, I know that news from your friends must be very hard to take and the business worries compound that - as mandco says hopefully the practice will realise these things arent always within your control

It's been a very productive and peaceful day in the Nanamia household. DH went fishing for the dayOur darling neighbours have been so good keeping an eye on him since DS left and keeping his spirits up, it's so heart warming. Still living in our bedroom waiting for the plaster to dry! I deep cleaned the kitchen, bliss without DH under my feet, explaining the "correct" way he'd do it ha. Made a huge casserole, few nights teas done and a carrot cake for DH and said neighbour when they get back.
I then peacefully and uninterrupted caught up on some tv that DH doesn't like and then tackled my Christmas stashFeels so much better to know what's what and I've done my homework.. Woo hoo go me xxx wow you have had a busy day, i bet you cant wait to get LR finished and decorated, did DH have a successful fishing day thats when you should persuade him how nice that wallpaper will look :rotfl:

Right this weeks target is to a)(in very small apologetic script) finish my lists, nearly done, just the food one left. b) order Olivias House Lego for DGD c) write all cards which need posted even the abroad ones. Note to self, this includes writing the addresses on the envelopes and the correct postage and a date to post them noted on the calendar. d) feel lego bags and try to get an elf and/or a gingerbread man.
OOOOh am having my first trip to a' the range' shop tomorrow, courtesy of DGS dad and other Grandma, really excited about it and have drained my 50p money box of its £42 in case I see anything good. Hope you have a good time and find some good bits
Forgot to say that DDs Av@n party raised her £105 so her Christmas shopping fund is healthy. Wow good for her, son glad it was a success
Nanamia, the trophy is a Pool one, he was a very good player, and yes it was an honour.princesskitty29 wrote: »Freespirit glad to hear the drain situation is sorted! Thankyou
I popped into Primark on Friday and agree with others that the ladies jumpers aren't great. I found a lovely Christmas blanket in there, it was patterned one side and furry on the other, it looked really warm and would be perfect for our CE hamper. It was £10, this surprised me and stopped me from buying it there and then, although it's not really that expensive so I don't know why! Now I've had time to think about it I think I will go back and get it. I don't know if anyone else is like me but I always end up not buying things because I think I can get them cheaper elsewhere, then ages go by and I still haven't got what I wanted!msgigglewick wrote: »Dh bought me the new baileys last night, had a very small glass tastes like melted choc with the kick of baileys after...quite yummy lol expensive though.#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

Dh got called into work last night so I had no option but to drink the full bottle (HIC) of rose myself! I'm not usually such an alchi but I needed it!
I am glad you all feel happier today, hopefully one day he will wake up and realise what he is missing and make it up to you all, im not surprised you needed a drink :rotfl:i am so glad you have noticed a difference and your meds are working it must be such a relief for you and DHMr T's 20p mincemeat is now full price again in ours! And the Ferrero Rocher 2 for £6 offer had all run outI did however, pick up some lovely wine for my parents' hamper down from £11.99 to £5.99. Also grabbed some carr's cheese and seed triangles and cheese batons, along with some interesting Tesco marmalades done in the style of cocktails. They were down in price to about 90 something pence each. Here's the links to them:
