We only send cards to the famoly who really cherish them then donate money saved to the neonatal unit dd1 was in for 9 weeks.
But I dont start wrapping til tree is up. We have a traditional eve every year where dh goes to his mates and I set myself up with yummy picky food and xmas music tv to do all the wrapping. We tried it one year where dh was here to help and it was a mare he hates it so was a right moaner lol!
Counted up what I have in tesco vouchers yest. Its 85 quid so once double up stats udually beg nov I can get tge last few toys. If weve moved house I will use some for a nice new tree too but doubt we will by then. Our chain is never ending.
My challenge for this week is to write my non perishables list. Mainly snack stuff to put away.
Poundland have got 4 kit kats in so I got a few packs of those and some kittke kinder bars. And something else ready for santa sleighs. So getting there with the bits for those.

Oh dear, looking at the next website was lethal, ds now has 2 christmas jumpers and a guitar jumper for a present coming, bought a size bigger in hope they may still fit next year
Just found mamas and papas having a sale so have ordered ds Christmas Day outfit, checked shirt with bow tie and cord trousers reduced to £16 and in stock at local store on the retail park my sis is visiting today so she's collecting, yay.
Off to mr ts soon then home to write my lists.0 -
So - this Lego feeling thing
I take it you open the packets to find out what you get - but what do you do with the figures afterwards - re-wrap them or just play with them
Was also told today that the Boots 3 for 2 starts on Wednesday and is on for 1 week xx

pinknfluffy - what a terrible day - but at least you know one way or another - it draws a line under the matter. it sounds like your father is in definitely in the wrong, especially with it 'kicking off' with your brother too.
I am glad you are ok today. onwards and upwards.

Hello! I hope you're all having a lovely weekend.
Yesterday I did my morning at the charity shop I help at and found a lovely dark green N*xt bag. It was only £4 and looks fab, it shall be my Autumn/Winter days out bag I think. I also found a lovely La R*doute coat for £14, doesn't even look worn and had such a great shape. Very happy!
Today I popped to Mr T, B*ots and a few other shops. Just a word of warning with the B*ots No.7 vouchers. I went to a normal cashier guy and he didn't really understand how to put the vouchers through properly, he said about having to put one lot of items through together and then another lot. I didn't know what he meant but just told him that's fine and to do what he needs to do etc. However, he then said "that'll be £11.50 please" but it should have been £8.50! I explained there was an offer on the make-up (buy one and get another half price - which the No.7 lady even said you can use with the voucher) and explained which voucher was for which products. He then sorted it out and it came up at £8.50 as I expected. So keep on the ball guys and gals! I could have easily paid £3 too much today!
But after all that I got another voucher to use, so I came away with two lovely nail polishes for my mum and some face wash & body/hair wash for my dad for a total of £11. Was quite pleased with thatthe second transaction I made I did at the actual No.7 till and after mentioning to the lady that they were Christmas presents she gave me tissue paper and two bags (one for each of my parents) - how lovely! I told her how thankful I was.
Mr T's 20p mincemeat is now full price again in ours! And the Ferrero Rocher 2 for £6 offer had all run outI did however, pick up some lovely wine for my parents' hamper down from £11.99 to £5.99. Also grabbed some carr's cheese and seed triangles and cheese batons, along with some interesting Tesco marmalades done in the style of cocktails. They were down in price to about 90 something pence each. Here's the links to them:

Christmas dvd's - jingle all the way, home alone, etc etc £2.99
boxes of after eights - £1
didn't have that much time to look as dh was pestering me about how good the haribo price was and extra strong mints etc :-/
also got loads of good stuff in hobbycraft. plenty of offers. my bill came to nearly £30 and I only ended up paying £140 -
Afternoon all
hope everyone is well and Xmas prep is coming on nicely.
Well I'm sat on the sofa having cuddles with my youngest who has a cold and was up several times in the nighthe also has 2 of his last teeth cutting which isn't helping either, bless him. It is nice to sit here and have cuddles tho and is also giving me time to update my Christmas lists!
So far I know who I'm buying for and what my budget for each person is, I also have a good idea of what I'm putting in the 4 stockings I'm doing (DS 1&2 DH and my mum) and the Xmas eve hamper. However I have no idea what I'm getting anyone as presents!
So, my task for this week is to get at least some idea of what I'm buying each person and where I might get it from and write it down in my book. I also usually do a photo calendar with pictures of the boys for my mum and dad and DHs mum and dad so I need to look into best place to get this done and sort out 12 photos....
That should keep me busy for the week lolDS 1 born 12/02/2009DS 2 born 30/01/2012Married 07/07/07xx Love my boys xx0 -
Hi all
Feel a bit ashamed posting as it's been so long since I have been on here I feel like a newbie. : (
Short version is two ops (1 small which went wrong so had 1 big a week and a half later) left me with anxiety issues, stress, many black dog days, and I am on anti depressants and seeing a counsellor.
I have read the thread from time to time but just haven't been able to keep up with the pace.
I decided though that you are all such a friendly bunch that it won't matter that I only pop in every once in a while.
Nanamia - hope all is ok with you.
OMO - l also lost access to my Better Xmas app, and had a couple of stressful days thinking I had lost all my hard work, but my hubby put an update on and all is fine.
Hello to anyone that remembers me.
XxAims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -
missions for this week are -
to cook/bake 4 things for the freezer which are off my Christmas food list.
to wrap 3 presents.
to glitter up a snowy village advent calendar with snowy glitter glue
to get more stuff off 'Christmas food list' like chocs, tins of stuff, snacks (pringles/pretzel type)
I am hoping my things come from ebay this week and those will be what I wrap although I have some stocking fillers to wrap as well. only have to get dh something for his 'clothes' present now.0 -
