I've been in the present trunk. So much for my lists. :rotfl:

I must never buy another Christmas card. I have enough to last me at least 5 years.

I MUST NOT buy dd ANY MORE STOCKING FILLERS
I'm sure I can put some back for next year. :o

I have found 15 pairs of new M&S bed socks. ( I do remember buying them on a Grabbit now) :o

I also found a box set of 6 Christmas DVDs ( another Grabbit) :j
    Miracle on 34th Street
    Deck The Halls
    Pranced
    Home Alone
    A Christmas Carol
    Jingle All The Way

So Robbie's DVD folder is looking unexpectedly good. :D

Ds' Lynx set is actually 3 sets. :o

So when I got back from town Ds was sitting in the lounge playing his PS3 looking rather glum. Not speaking, just mumbling under his breath. Tottenham were drawing 0-0 with Cardiff.

Next thing I know he is jumping round the room. They had scored in the 93rd minute. Slight over reaction I thought.
Until he pulled the betting slip from his pocket.
    He had won £303

Him and his mate started doing an accumulator bet each weekend last year. They only spend a couple of pound, but by doing the bet they could watch some of the games in the bookmakers. ( we don't have Sky and he doesn't like pubs.)

And bless him he is giving me £100 of it tomorrow to treat myself. I am putting it away for London. :D

    OMO - What a sweetie!!
Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:
  • OMO you must be so proud of your son, how lovely of him :A

  • OMO - what a lovely thing for your ds to do. :)

Choccymoose - I've not seen the tins of segsations on my travels this year. I use to love them.

I was rather disappointed with Mr T's as went in expecting all the tubs of chocs to be £4 however the heroes weren't and that's what I was really wanting. Didn't stop me picking up a tub of celebrations. I'll need to get them hidden or they won't last the week in this house!

Been a tough week and Christmas spirit has been slightly lacking so I think I might just have to watch a Christmas DVD. In times like this it's the only thing to do! :xmastree:
  • Yessssss!!! I have finally caught up, read every single post!now that is Christmas dedication!!
In Christmas news I am not particularly organised yet but I'm getting there, and you've all inspired me to get a wriggle on and get my act together, need to find me a job that doesn't have me so utterly fed up and concentrate on a beautiful happy festive December :-)
Hugs and happy thoughts to you all

I've had a revelation this weekend. I actually like wrapping Christmas presents and I never thought I did; I just never liked wrapping masses all at the same time. Managed to get 4 wrapped this weekend and put away and even updated my spreadsheet to say present bought and wrapped.

Starting to think about the food list and how much budget to spend on different things. Need to clear a space for all the special offer things I'm hoping to stock up on in next couple of months to help cut the cost of things.

I just love this thread for keeping me on track to be more organised.

OMO - that's wonderful. Really felt for you the other day when I read that you were down. Thinking having to watch all the pennies all the time can be hard going and takes lots of energy (speaking from my own experience). Hope you have a lovely time when you get to London.

Sending good wishes to everyone else as well - such a lovely bunch that you are.

Managed to use some Amazon vouchers and paid hardly anything to get a couple of books as gifts. Plan for this week is to get my cards sorted so I can start writing them. Mum has just said she might pop over before Christmas so going to ensure gifts for her and dad are sorted for when she comes over so I don't have to post them.

Feeling like I am getting sorted....

    I've been Money Tipped!
If anyone is planning on buying a book and hasn't yet taken advantage of the Topcashback Amazon deal (as per Grabbits thread), the offer ends tonight so if you're quick you can still get in there!

OMO what a kind and thoughtful gesture from your Son - you must be very proud of him :)
