Well it's probably about time that I said hi for this year....so Hi everyone!
I've been dipping in and out of the thread recently but it moves so fast I can't always keep up with everything all of the time but definitely enough to enjoy the warmth and friendliness as well as the excitement which is really building now. (Yay!)
None of my work colleagues like the Festive season much, even when in full swing, so it's great to pop by here on my lunchbreak to find like-minded people.
The other day my boss commented on how nice my nail varnish was. When I told her the colour was called "Mistletoe" she just groaned and rolled her eyes at the mere mention of a Crimbo-related word! If anyone is interested it's a really nice dark green-black shade with a subtle gold shimmer, by Revlon (Top Speed range). I bought it the other day from Fragrance Direct (an amazing site for beauty bargains) for just 99p. It's lovely with a glossy topcoat on and makes me feel happy just knowing it's somehow Christmassy, even if just the name!
I've been picking up bargains throughout the year but as soon as 'Back to School' fever hits and the air starts feeling & smelling Autumnal (that sounds weird but hope you know what I mean!) then the Christmas excitement really ramps up for me. Apparently we'll be having quite summery weather again down here this week but never mind!
Just ordered some of the Joules weekly planners as posted on the Grabbit board - £2.70 with free delivery. Very sweet - one design has a horse wearing wellies and the other has a little dog (Jack Russell I think but I'm not that good on dogs!)....anyway a lovely little gift and I'll keep some for myself too as should be handy for planning meals, blog planning, christmas prep and all sorts.
I'm loving the heads up on all the Christmassy stuff appearing in the shops and all your ideas, so thank you all x0 -

I was wondering what everyone thought about posting their own weekly goals on a Sunday. You are more likely to do them if you know you have to post what you have achieved the following week.( no cheating)
Any thoughts on the idea ?
I wouldn't know where to start0 -

MrsHayes: I hope your DS and his friend sort things out, you’re probably right that by Monday everything will be fine.
Nanamia: Thank you. I shall definitely be practicing soon. Definitely earned a treat although at the moment I have more prizes than people attending which isn’t such a good result but still time to change that.
Freespirit: Corrie was sad, just caught up with it. Think there will be a few emotional episodes over the coming months with the Roy and Hayley story.
Choccymoose: That’s lovely your DS wants to pay for his own laptop. I’m sure he will appreciate it more after saving so hard.
Flowfy: Well done on your ebay bargains. I’ve had a few things off there recently for myself. Got a gorgeous formal maxi dress for my BF’s brother’s wedding next month from there. Monsoon, only worn once for £25! Only downside is that it seems to be quite see through but I’ll try it on again later with tights on underneath and hope it’s no longer see through.
Pinksteps: Which sites do you currently do surveys through? I’m with Valued Opinions and Global Testmarket. Had an invite from one of those recently to join P&G site to give opinions about beauty products but it was invite only. They give Amazon rewards which I’ll be saving up for next year's birthdays/ Christmas.
Cymrumam: I love Chester zoo and Chester. The lanterns sound like a lovely idea at the zoo.
Mkgirl: I’ve noticed some seem to be skipping Halloween too. Was in Tesco this morning and wanted to see how much their Halloween plates and bowls are for my charity event next month but could only seem to find Christmas things so will look somewhere else.
I seemed to have missed something somewhere so can someone tell me what lego feelers are?Saved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
